Skegness Poppy Appeal has moved into a vacant unit in the Hildreds Centre in Skegness, where members of the public are being invited to help with the project to fill the area around the Clock Tower with poppies for Remembrance Day. Organisers say those who do help will be treated like royalty.

00:00Welcome to the Skegness Royal British Legion community poppy project.
00:07Here we have Louise, who is our lovely secretary, branch secretary, and modelling the poppies.
00:17We now have our poppy nets adorning the walls in the old JD Sports Unit 13, the Hildred Centre.
00:26You're more than welcome to pop in every Friday, Saturday, Sunday to help tie on.
00:36And we also have a throne. Yeah, a throne with our own orb, sceptre and homemade crown, modelled by Shireen.
00:52It's for all the heroes that have been making our poppies.
00:56It is. We will be expecting you to sit on there and have a photograph, photo op.
01:01As you can see, we're well on our way there, but we still need you to come in and tie these poppies on.
01:09We have thousands and thousands of poppies for you to tie on.
01:17You're more than welcome to come and get some wool if you want some wool.
01:22We have knitting patterns. We also have some bits for the year round poppy appeal.
01:35But this is the Skegness Community Project before we go and install around the clock tower in mid-October.
01:51We're next to JD Sports and Vodafone.
01:58We have our Tommies in the window. We look forward to welcoming you all.
