05:54King of Philippine Peaks, as it's called, Mount Apo is one of Southeast Asia's highest
05:59mountains, and it's right here in Davao.
06:02The mountain's peak reaches an elevation of 10,311 feet, which is 3,144 meters above
06:09sea level.
06:11Towards the top, there is a 500-meter-wide crater lake created by volcanic activity.
06:17The mountain is home to rubber plantations, a 150-meter-tall waterfall called Tadaya Falls,
06:23along with wild boar and deer.
06:26During the moths of March, April, and October, experienced climbers can climb the summit
06:31during a two-day hike organized by various tour groups around the area.
06:39At number 2, Ballat Island.
06:46There is a relatively underrated volcanic island at the southern tip of Davao Oriental
06:51that should be explored if you've got the chance.
06:54Ballat Island is home to a super interesting mixture of cultures including Muslims, Bailans,

07:03Most of the locals here are farmers who export coconuts to surrounding areas.

07:48or even take a public Zumba class with literally hundreds of locals, every Sunday at 6 a.m.
