00:00Travelling to France next year? Well, upon arrival expect to be photographed,
00:04fingerprinted and wait in some hefty order queues.
00:07That's what the Foreign Office has warned Brits could face when visiting some EU countries.
00:11And that's thanks to our old friend, Brexit.
00:14Travellers will also have their photo taken before they leave the UK
00:17or on arrival in another European country.
00:20Ministers have said there could also be longer queues at Dover,
00:23the Eurostar terminal at St Pancras and the Eurotunnel in Kent.
00:27The new requirements and expected delays are due to a new digital border system
00:31being introduced by the EU and some other countries.
00:34This comes after the recent announcement that Brits will have to pay a visa waiver fee
00:38from 2025 to travel to the EU.
00:40If Britain had remained in the EU,
00:42people heading to the continent would not be subject to these new border rules.
