00:00If I have to make a relationship, I have to make a relationship with my people, with my people, with my countrymen.
00:30How important are these elections in general and in particular for the national confidence?
00:48These elections are important for everybody, as it is any election is important.
00:56These elections are coming after a gap of 10 years.
01:00They are also coming after a period of more than 6 years as a centrally ruled territory.
01:09They are also coming after everything that was done to us on the 5th of August 2019.
01:15So in no way can one underplay the importance of these elections for everybody.
01:21Obviously in this national conference as the premier political organization of Jammu and Kashmir,
01:29in light of the success that we had as the single largest party,
01:35if you look at it from an assembly constituency point of view,
01:38in the recent parliament elections, these elections assume even more importance and significance for us.
01:45Ganderbal has not been an easy constituency for national confidence.
01:51You have lost in 2014. Why?
01:54I lost in 2014. I did not participate in the elections in 2014.
01:59I lost in 2002. But you remember the defeat. I remember the victory.
02:05I won three times and went to the parliament.
02:08I went to the MLA once.
02:10God willing, if the people of Ganderbal continue to love me,
02:14God willing, they will send me as an MLA again.
02:17And who do you see as your nearest rival?
02:19Where?
02:20Ganderbal.
02:21Leave that. We will see.
02:23When the votes are counted, we will know who it is.
02:26Mr. Omar, the police said that the prisoners were left behind you.
02:30Explain this.
02:31There is no need to say anything on that now.
02:34The PDP and BJP have criticized Chaudhary Lal Singh.
02:40He has been made a star campaigner.
02:42You should ask Congress. Why are you asking me?
02:45Omar, your point of view...
02:47Congress is not answerable for what National Conference says.
02:52Now it will be unfair. You will ask Congress to explain our manifesto.
02:56How is that fair?
02:57I am responsible for the decisions the National Conference takes.
03:01Congress is responsible for its own decisions.
