00:07The summer racing season wraps up in Saratoga, and it was a good summer for them, correct?

00:12Yeah, handle was up a handful of millions of dollars, $803.8 million bet on Saratoga

00:19races from mid-July through Labor Day, up a few million from last year, which was positive.

00:27The average daily handle was up about 3% as well.

00:32Sort of the big note for me coming out of the summer was Traverse Day, their biggest

00:35day of the summer, $63 million in handle, and it just reconfirms and kind of continues

00:41the trend that we've seen in horse racing so far this year, where the big marquee mainstream

00:47events are the ones that are generating the most handle.

00:51We had record-setting handle on the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes betting increased

00:56this year compared to last year, record-setting Belmont Stakes handle for a non-Triple Crown

01:03year, and now we have the Traverse Stakes with that increase in handle as well.

01:09A lot of that early success this year during the Triple Crown season was driven in large

01:15part to the sportsbooks entering the marketplace.

01:20FanDuel had a record-setting day of horse betting for the Derby.

01:24Giraffe Kings and their DK Horse app was the most downloaded horse betting app on Derby

01:28Day.

01:29So these marquee events have really carried the water for the racing industry so far this

01:36year, and we'll see what ultimately happens at the end of the year here coming up in the

01:40fall with the Breeders' Cup.

01:42For the most part, we've seen these marquee events really boost the handle overall for

01:47the industry, while some of the other smaller tracks that don't necessarily get a lot of

01:52national attention are still sort of scrapping and clawing for whatever handle that they

01:59can get.
