00:09I'm one of the assistant managers.

00:10Got a beautiful pub isn't it?

00:11Yeah, fantastic yeah, it's a great pub, great space, right by the river, always busy, always

00:17packed.

00:18I mean this afternoon's a bit quiet but I think it's because the sun's out so everyone's

00:20at the beach.

00:21Yeah, probably, yeah, trying to get that last.

00:23But yeah, it's a great place to come for some food and a large selection of beers as well.

00:28Very atmospheric the way it's done in here with the bookshelves.

00:30Absolutely, lots of new lighting, bookshelves already done, paint job, paintings, all things

00:35like that so it's definitely worth coming and checking it out.

00:38And some interesting pictures on the wall of old Shrewsbury and the areas.

00:43Yeah, it's good to sort of focus on what Shrewsbury's all about and show people a bit of the history

00:48of this building and the town really.

00:50And you do well on the food, yeah?

00:52Yeah, absolutely, yeah.

00:54I mean we do hundreds of meals every day really, especially during the summer time, Christmas,

00:58in the summer year.

01:00And in terms of behind the bar, you've got plenty on tap?

01:04Yeah, yeah, so literally 8 things on cask and 10 things on a keg so that's like almost

01:0920 beers on tap for people to taste and have a look at so it's definitely worth popping

01:13in.

01:14And what do you find kind of percentage wise seems to be tourist visiting the town?

01:19We get a few locals but a lot of it is people that have visited Shrewsbury, I'd say at least

01:24half.

01:25Yeah, especially if you're setting by the river.

01:27Yeah, we only have a few people that come in quite a few times a week or more than that

01:30really so those are the people that we like to sort of make sure we put that extra special

01:35effort into.

01:36Obviously of course if people have visited the town then we try and treat everyone the

01:38same way.

01:39Leave them with that good memory.

01:40Exactly, yeah, exactly.
