00:00The president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, condemned the destabilizing actions taking place in the country against democracy.
00:07The head of state ratified this Friday that her government belongs to the people
00:11and that she will continue defending their rights in spite of the complex circumstances the country is going through
00:17due to the interference of the United States.
00:19The president pointed out that her government is facing a crisis
00:23and assured to be ready to repel the attacks in defense of the will of the Honduran people.
00:28Xiomara Castro emphasized that the armed forces, the popular organizations and the unity of the Free Party
00:34will defend democracy, its independence, sovereignty and dignity
00:38without forgetting to be an axis of anti-imperialist resistance.
00:49I call on the Honduran people to get organized.
00:58But I also call on the Liberty and RE Foundation Party
01:07to maintain the political unity because we need to repel
01:16the coup d'état that is being planned
01:23by the right wing and those who staged
01:29the coup d'état in 2009.
01:35The Honduran head of state rejected any links between political leaders and drug traffickers.
01:44We understand that a member of our party made a terrible mistake
01:50without informing the coordinator, the candidate and the party
02:07behind our backs and we deplore any action.
02:20Or any negotiation between politicians and drug traffickers.
02:32We do not accept it and we will not allow it.
