00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of All Time High.

00:04So, let's begin.

00:06Written and helmed by Julian Olland, Netflix's All Time High, originally titled Nouveau Riches,

00:11is a French comedy film that focuses on a con artist named Youssef Bouazizi who resorts

00:15to petty crimes and scams in order to keep his partner Stella content and support their

00:19lifestyle.

00:20When his real identity comes out in front of her, his life turns upside down, for the

00:24worse.

00:26Soon, his fortune changes again when he crosses paths with Stephanie, a crypto millionaire,

00:30during a poker game.

00:32With rejuvenated confidence, Youssef attempts to target Stephanie for her wealth and wipe

00:36away all his debts once and for all.

00:39But what if the scammer becomes the one who gets scammed?

00:41Here's everything you need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will

00:44contain spoilers.

00:46Youssef had lied to his girlfriend, Yael, about his race, occupation, his wig, and even

00:51the rent.

00:53He desperately wanted to impress her parents, and that is why he promised to get a Birkin

00:56as a gift for her mother's birthday.

00:59Youssef used to trade in fake handbags, so he knew how to get a real one through a scam,

01:03except that the guy he put up with ended up being a fool who lost a lot of money.

01:07Youssef tried to save things by gambling, but he had terrible luck since the girl at

01:10the table, Stephanie, kept winning consecutively.

01:14Youssef was furious, and he even tried to pawn his watch for some money, but he lost

01:17that as well.

01:19It is hard to say whether he actually lost his temper or was putting on a show to get

01:22out of that place, but Youssef got into a fight with everyone and escaped with multiple

01:26bruises on his face.

01:28The next day, he told his girlfriend that the bag would take some more time to come.

01:32Yael tries to manage the situation at home, but Youssef is simply gross, and everyone

01:37except her can see that.

01:38Yael's father, in particular, doesn't like Youssef one bit, and he wants the man

01:43out of the house.

01:44Perhaps it was funny that he got injured in a rather delicate area while trying to do

01:48that.

01:49Back at home, Yael confronts Youssef and wants him to tell her everything, and when he does,

01:53the relationship is certifiably over.

01:56Yael was horrified at all the lies she had been told this entire time, and she couldn't

02:00get out of the house fast enough.

02:01Therefore, Yael is now broke and scrambling for money since his primary source of sustenance

02:06is out the door.

02:07Also, the casino that he managed to create that ruckus has people thirsting for his blood.

02:13Youssef promises to give them money within 10 days at the risk of death, and he gets

02:17that time.

02:18How did Youssef come to know about Stephanie?

02:21Youssef meets Stephanie at a club the day after the casino disaster, and they spend

02:24the night together.

02:26The next morning, Stephanie tells him that she has a lot of cryptocurrency stashed away

02:30that would make her a millionaire if she cashed it.

02:33That immediately changes Youssef's attitude towards her, and while it is clear that it

02:36is the money that is keeping him around, Stephanie doesn't object.

02:40She seems to want love and attention, and the audience is yet to know why.

02:44Stephanie comes to live with Youssef when she is trying to escape Butterfly's men since

02:48they know that she cheated on cards.

02:50Stephanie builds on the story of the cryptocurrency and says that she is scared that she will

02:54be ambushed for her money.

02:56While Youssef agrees to let her stay, it becomes necessary to earn her trust and love when

03:00Butterfly threatens him for the money.

03:02Youssef wines and dines with Stephanie and acts very lovingly towards her.

03:07His plan is to earn her trust so that she can support him financially, and then he can

03:10break up with her.

03:12Sadly, Youssef has the worst filter, and he continuously makes jokes about Stephanie's

03:16looks.

03:17However, all that comes to an end when Butterfly and his cousin inquire with Youssef's friend,

03:22Zach, about his source of money, and they learn about Stephanie's cryptocurrency.

03:26They also tell him about Stephanie cheating, which Zach ends up telling Youssef.

03:33The fact that Stephanie had to cheat must mean that she never had any money to begin

03:37Honestly, Stephanie had been very cheap from the beginning.

03:41She picked up fights at grocery stores, she had no trouble freeloading off strangers,

03:45and mostly, she was just floating through life.

03:48On the other hand, if Stephanie hadn't cheated that day, Youssef would have won the money

03:51to buy Yoel's mother a Birkin, and he would also not have broken up with her.

03:56Youssef is extremely angry when he gets home, and he orders Stephanie to leave after saying

04:00some very hurtful things to her.

04:02But later, when he sees Stephanie's friend running on the streets, he rushes to protect

04:06her as she is being ambushed by Butterfly and his men.

04:09The following sequence of events is very hard to explain, but when Stephanie and Youssef

04:13escape, he confesses his love to her while continuing to insult her looks.

04:18Even the audience is confused about whether he has any respect for her or not, but Stephanie

04:21obviously melts.

04:23These two are kidnapped by Butterfly and his cousin, and Stephanie even gives them the

04:27password to the stocks, but the drive runs out of charge, and they are unable to operate

04:31it.

04:32Another chase sequence later, Stephanie and the cousin are severely injured, and Youssef

04:36and Butterfly are taking care of them, respectively.

04:40Youssef gives the pen drive to Butterfly and asks him to leave them alone.

04:44During All Time High's ending, Stephanie plays a prank on Youssef in the hospital,

04:48where she pretends to be dead, but that just proves to the man that she is the love of

04:51his life.
