00:00Dustin Long, NBC Sports. Tyler, obviously when you signed with 2311, the original
00:06plan was this would have been your first season. You got the opportunity to run
00:10all last year. How did that help create the foundation or impact the foundation
00:17for this season? I definitely played a huge factor in it. I have all the
00:22faith in the world that the cars would have been as fast, but seeing just, you
00:26know, we got great people, smart people at Joe Gibbs Racing as well that play a
00:31big role in where our cars are at coming to the racetrack too. So I feel
00:36like they would have had the speed and potential with or without me,
00:40but certainly, you know, some of the things that me and Billy have been able to
00:43work on, some of the things that, you know, I got to work on a year and some back at
00:49the coded tire test, you know, trying to just make the road course program a
00:54little better. I feel like those things were very, very beneficial. Certainly, I
00:58think for just the team chemistry side of it, that extra year has really
01:03allowed us to really hit our stride this year. So what did you and Billy have to
01:09go through? Because we always hear that, you know, every driver-crew chief
01:12relationship has to build that chemistry and it comes at different rates for
01:16different combinations. What did you guys have to go through or what did you go
01:21through last year that has helped you moving forward? I mean, just, I will, it's
01:27works. I guess I wouldn't say live, but just we just had to go through races,
01:30right? The more time that we had together, we got to experience the highs
01:33together, the lows, understand how to navigate them as a team. I think just
01:40experience can be invaluable in those situations, right? The more that we know
01:43each other, the more just kind of instinctually we know what's gonna
01:47happen next without having to really talk about it or play it out. So I think
01:51that experience for both of us has helped a lot. Just, you know, having
01:56consistency, right? Brought in Nick Payne, who was, you know, kind of new to the
02:01sport, was doing Xfinity trucks, some tests, no full-time cup gig, and starting
02:06fresh with him. And just having the consistency across board with the team, I
02:10think, has really helped us.
