00:00The blue mind is a science that states being near, in, or on the water can make you happier,
00:13healthier.
00:14It will reinvigorate your spirit, perhaps help you to break free from the pressures
00:18of life, maybe become a little fanatical to do something you have never done before.
00:25We're going to break out and have some fun, we're going to do what we've never done.
00:29Let me get into the water!
00:31Are you ready to accelerate?
00:33Since we show you 15 ways to experience the waters of Florida's west coast, on one of
00:39America's top rated beaches.
00:42It's a good vibe, good vibe, good vibe, good vibe, good vibe, good vibe, good vibe.
00:51Welcome to Clearwater Beach!
00:54There's a reason why Clearwater Beach always ranks among TripAdvisor's best beaches in
01:05the U.S.
01:08There is so much to do here, especially on the water.
01:11In this video, we hope to save you a lot of time and some money as we help you to plan
01:16your Clearwater Beach getaway.
01:18We'll show all the boat tours, from the dinner ships, to the tiki boats, to Captain Mimo's
01:22pirate ship.
01:25We take you on a speed boat, the Calypso Queen with a tropical buffet, and sail aboard an
01:32authentic 52-foot steel schooner.
01:35For the adrenaline junkie, we'll explore the Intracoastal by jet ski, show you parasailing,
01:40tubing, and water skiing.
01:44Every night at Pier 60, weather permitting, is a nightly family-friendly sunset celebration
01:50with vendors and street performers.
01:54It is here you'll find yearly events like the Sugar Sand Festival that we'll bring you
01:58in to.
02:00Clearwater is also the spring home of the Philadelphia Phillies, who will take you inside
02:05a Bay Care ballpark, while give info for beach lounging rentals from North Beach to the Main
02:11Beach to Sand Key Park.
02:16We'll show the many options for food, from counter-serve eateries to sit-down restaurants
02:20with a waterside view.
02:22We'll give you all the info for parking and transportation, including the ferry, to save
02:27you some money.
02:28For lodging, we'll show 10 resorts and their elevated pool decks, as well as three vacation
02:34rentals, and update you on what's new in Clearwater.
02:39Come with us as we explore Clearwater Beach by boat, by jet ski, by parasail, by bike,
02:48by ATV, and by foot.
02:53Clearwater Beach, one of the best places to stimulate that blue mind.
03:10It's sunrise over Clearwater Bay.
03:12On the other side of the bay is downtown Clearwater, that we'll show shortly.
03:16Clearwater Beach is currently ranked 3rd best beach in the US by TripAdvisor, only eclipsed
03:21by Siesta Key Beach, that we did a video of last year, and La Jolla Cove in San Diego.
03:27The island of Clearwater Beach is two and a half miles long, bordered by Kaladesi Island
03:32on the north end, which we showed in our Dunedin Honeymoon Island video, and the Clearwater
03:38Pass on the south end, with Sand Key Park on the other side of the pass, that we'll
03:42show later in the video.
03:45Clearwater Beach was not long ago mostly a residential community, but being surrounded
03:49by water, has led to its popularity, and therefore development with condos and resorts,
03:55especially on the south half of the island.
03:57But one lady, Mary Ackert, refused to sell her house to the developers, and so her grey
04:02house built in 1963, still sits here today, surrounded by condos, it's known as the
04:08Holdout House.
04:09You can actually buy this house today, as it is on the market, if you have $6,000,000
04:14to spare.
04:16You'll see it from most of the boat tours who will pass by it.
04:19On the beach side are the resorts, but on the bay side are many vacation rentals.
04:23I found this great place on Airbnb, it is actually the old stay and play motel, located
04:29just a couple of blocks from the Hyatt Regency, that pink coral colored building, while on
04:34the outside it looks like an older motel.
04:36The rooms are nicely renovated, and really worked out great.
04:40It was one of the cheaper places on Clearwater Beach, on a very busy weekend.
04:45Both the north and south side had nice little waterways to enjoy.
04:49You'll find it on Airbnb, titled Coastal Sunkissed Vibe.
04:54If you are looking for near north Clearwater Beach, there is Beach Time Rentals, which
04:58we showed in our previous video of Clearwater Beach.
05:01This property a mile north of Pier 60, and a half mile from the Palm Pavilion and Frenchies
05:06Rockaway Grill, and just about a half mile from Pier 60 on the north side of Clearwater
05:11Beach.
05:12At the Frenchies Vacation Cottages, you can also book with Beach Time Rentals.
05:17There are two bridges to Clearwater Beach, the Sankey Bridge from the south, or the Memorial
05:22Bridge that connects downtown Clearwater with the beach.
05:26Be aware, in the spring, in the afternoon, traffic can get backed up all along the mile
05:30and a half causeway from downtown Clearwater, so give yourself plenty of time.
05:38For transportation, there is the Clearwater Jolly Trolley, which runs every day, year
05:43round.
05:44It goes all the way from Tarpon Springs in Dunedin, and travels through downtown Clearwater,
05:48into multiple stops along Clearwater Beach.
05:51It is $5 for an all day pass, or even better yet, because you aren't slowed down by the
05:56traffic.
05:57There is also the Clearwater Ferry.
05:59This is great if you are staying in Dunedin, or on the mainland of Clearwater, and want
06:03to go to Clearwater Beach, as the parking is free in downtown Dunedin, and downtown Clearwater.
06:08It's $5 each way between Clearwater and Clearwater Beach, or $8 to Dunedin, and you get a pretty
06:31cheap boat tour.
06:33It's an inexpensive way to enjoy the water.
06:36While downtown Clearwater is not as exciting as Tampa or St. Pete, there are a couple of
06:41things that should be considered in your Clearwater Beach getaway.
06:45First is the brand new $84 million renovation of Coachman Park and the waterfront area.
06:52It gives a view of Clearwater Harbor, and walk and pass around shaded gathering areas,
06:58a two acre green space for lounging, a modern playground for little kids, and big kids too.
07:06Here's a splash pad.
07:08The biggest part of Coachman Park is the Baycare Sound, a 4,000 seat amphitheater for top tier
07:14concert and events.
07:16You can see a schedule at rutheckardhall.com.
07:19Also for more entertainment across the street is the Capitol Theater.
07:23Here you also have restaurants with street side dining, like Tequila's Mexican Grill
07:28and Cantina, or the downtown pizza sports bar and grill.
07:32All right, let's go along the causeway towards the beach.
07:43About three quarters of the way down on the north side is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
07:48This aquarium does a lot of work in rescuing animals and mammals, in fact, made famous
07:52by Winter, a rescued dolphin, the star of the Dolphin Tale, who sadly passed away the
07:58week of our previous Clearwater Beach video.
08:01As well as dolphins, you can see sea turtles, otters, pelicans, sharks, rays, and other
08:06mammals and reptiles with regular shows.
08:12It is $38 for adults and $29 for children 3 to 12.
08:17They also have a Sea Life Safari Boat Tour that is $28 or a Sunset Tour for $36 per passenger
08:24ages 3 and up.
08:39There's a nice paved bike path along the length of the causeway for a mile and a half.
08:45Crossing over the little Clearwater Bridge that leads to the marina, now entering Clearwater
08:50Beach.
08:52At the far end of the marina is the Bait House, a dockside, old Florida style fish
08:58shack and tackle shop with a menu of fresh local seafood, beer, and wine on a deck right
09:04on the water.
09:05Between the Bait House and the little Clearwater Bridge is a nice fishing platform.
09:10At the parking lot at the marina, you can only purchase parking for 30 minutes at a
09:15time.
09:16When you book a boat tour or other activity, they will give you a code to input into the
09:20meter that allows you to park for longer periods, and will be a reasonable $1 an hour.
09:27Across the street is the Pier 60 parking lot, which is $3 per hour, no time limit, but with
09:33only 139 spaces, this lot fills up very early.
09:37In fact, while filming this, in March, I found it already full at 9.30am.
09:43Most of your other garages are going to be about $30 a day.
09:47There's a garage that is next to the Pier House 60 at Devon and Coronado Drive, just
09:51two tenths of a mile from the marina.
09:54Also next to the Hyatt Regency, the Surf Style Store has parking above the store that is
09:59right across from the beach.
10:02Also there's the North Beach Parking Plaza about one third of a mile north of the roundabout
10:06that is $30 a day.
10:08You can pay through the ParkWiz app.
10:14Alright let's show you around the marina.
10:16Most of your boat tours are at the west end of the marina, and you have fishing charters
10:20along the north side.
10:22There's big angler fishing charters, they are pet friendly, with 4 hour charters up
10:26to 6 people for $800.
10:29Bailey says I'd love to have me some of them fish.
10:32There's the Double Eagle with half and full day fishing charters.
10:35This vessel has a galley with breakfast and lunch items.
10:38There's lots of wildlife around the marina.
10:44Sea Glass Kayaking offers a 2 and a half hour tour on a clear kayak.
10:49It is $65 for adults and $49 for children under 12.
10:53Alright we have about 12 boat tours to show you, so I'll spread them out throughout the
10:57video, showing about 4 or 5 at a time.
11:01First is Little Toot, with 90 minute tours throughout the day.
11:06It's $27 for adults, $20 for children 3 to 12.
11:10There be hungry sharks in these waters just waiting for the next tourist to fall overboard.
11:14If any of you happen to fall overboard, a life ring is located in the crew area, we'll
11:19toss it out to you and pull you back aboard the boat before the sharks start nipping at
11:22you.
11:23The Megabyte with a creative narration, where you ride inside the belly of the beast.
11:28There's encounters with dolphins, they have a shady awning that covers the entire length
11:32of the boat.
11:34It is $28 for adults, $20 for children 3 to 11.
11:39There's Fins Up Clearwater, with either a dolphin and donut tour, an afternoon tour
11:44to a sandbar, or a sunset tour.
11:48And there's the Clearwater Fun Boat, this boat has table seating, while indulging in
11:52an ice cream sundae, yummy.
11:54$29 for adults, $20 for children 4 to 12.
12:03We are going on the tour where I think you're going to see the most amount of dolphins.
12:07That's the Sea Screamer Speed Boat.
12:13A tip, you want to sit in the back of the boat if you want a great view of the dolphins,
12:17as they play in the wake from the boat.
12:20This is similar to the Dolphin Racer we showed in our St. Pete Beach video, although that
12:24was a 2 hour tour, this is just an hour tour.
12:28Like almost all the boat tours here, it takes you under the Sand Key Bridge, and out into
12:33the Gulf, giving you views of the beach from the Gulf.
12:44As well as dolphins, you'll see birds.
12:46It is $27 for adults, and $20 for children 5 to 12, ages 4 and under are free.
12:53Alright now that we are getting used to a little speed, let's kick it up a notch and
12:57drive a watercraft with Beach Jet Ski Rentals.
13:12It's such a thrill to glide low to the water, and you see things that you just don't see
13:16on a boat tour.
13:25I'm doing the 1 hour freestyle ride that is $110.
13:29You can also do a 90 minute Honeymoon Island Tour for $150, or a 2 hour Dolphin Tour for
13:35$200.
13:36Rates include up to 2 people, but the combined weight has to be under 350 lbs.
13:41The guide helps you to navigate the waters of the Intracoastal Waterway.
13:45And with any of the tours, they are pretty flexible to go where you want to go.
13:49I chose to go around the Mangrove Islands on the west side of Clearwater Beach towards
13:54Kaladesi Island.
13:59Even if you have no experience, it's pretty easy and they will teach you quickly.
14:03Really there's nothing to it, I'd highly recommend.
14:14Let's take a break and grab some food.
14:15You have several eateries around the marina.
14:18There's the Marina Cantina at the top of this mini mall with a nice lounge area.
14:23They are not dog friendly though.
14:24I finally decided to try the Salt Cracker Fish Camp on the ground level, and they were
14:29fabulous, both the service and the food.
14:32And they are dog friendly.
14:33I had grouper cakes and pan seared veggies with a key lime pie, delicious.
14:39Just a great spot to dine for before or after your boat tour, being right next to the marina.
14:47Also on the corner of the parking lot near the roundabout is Krabby's Dockside Grill.
14:52They have a nice outdoor patio on the ground level and elevated seating on the second and
14:57third floor with a bar that overlooks the marina and the pier.
15:01Also a pretty good menu of seafood with pasta and salads.
15:05I had Mahi Mahi Beach Tacos, was very good.
15:09And Chicken Fingers for daily.
15:15And if you want an even better view of Pier 60, try Jimmy's Crow's Nest at the top of
15:20the Pier House 60 Hotel, a rooftop bar with American fare.
15:24By the way, the Pier House 60 is a pet friendly hotel with a $75 per stay pet fee.
15:30This is the view from Jimmy's Crow's Nest.
15:41Now some more water fun for the adrenaline junkie at the west end of the marina is Shooter
15:46Mutt Parasail and Totally Tubular Water Sports.
15:50When you book Shooter Mutt, as well as parasailing, you get a scenic boat ride out to the gulf.
15:58It's about a 45 minute total trip with about 8 minutes up in the air.
16:03They can fly 2 or 3 people at the same time and you fly up to 1,000 feet, overlooking
16:09Pier 60 and Clearwater Beach.
16:12It is $89 per person or if you just want to ride as an observer without parasailing, it
16:20is $35.
16:21There's a $10 discount if you book online at least the day before or do the first trip
16:26out in the morning.
16:28With Totally Tubular Water Sports, you can do water skiing or a tubing boat trip for
16:33up to 6 people.
16:34That is $235 for 1 hour or $470 for 2 hours.
16:44And as a bonus, you might see dolphins as well.
16:50You can also rent a jet boat or a pontoon.
17:02Alright let's show you some of the resorts.
17:04While some of these places might be above your budget, many of them will have a day
17:08pass to enjoy their amenities as well as good eateries and coffee shops.
17:13The Wyndham Grand is located just across the street from the marina, has a day pass
17:17for $75 for adults, $50 for children.
17:21Includes their pool deck on the ground floor, with a hot tub, loungers.
17:25Here you have docks, pool bar and grill.
17:27Also includes free valet parking.
17:29On the beach walk, there's bad fins, with brews on tap, tacos, pub fare and live music.
17:36Next to the Wyndham Grand is the Hyatt Regency.
17:39They also have a day pass that is $75 for adults, $50 for children.
17:43This includes the hot tub on the 16th floor Sky Terrace, as well as the 8th floor pool
17:48deck with loungers and towel service.
17:51With this you also have options to add in food like a brunch at the Shore American Seafood
17:55Grill for $25, which I had, was absolutely great, with a nice terrace overlooking the
18:01beach.
18:03At the bottom floor on the beach walk is the Good Stuff Eatery, with handcrafted burgers,
18:08fries and shakes.
18:09Parking is not free at the Hyatt Regency, but it is discounted with the day pass.
18:19The beach walk, although not very long, is a nice promenade, provides a nice atmosphere
18:24to walk, ride, mingle and enjoy the beach.
18:27It just has a good vibe.
18:51Next to the Hyatt Regency is the Surf Style.
18:53This is a huge, massive two-story store, not only with souvenirs and clothing, but
18:57also sporting goods, and they also have groceries, which comes in handy if you want some quick
19:02food.
19:21On the beach you can rent an umbrella with two chairs for $35, or a deluxe cabana for
19:26$10 more.
19:30Great to run into some of our subscribers, Russ and Katrina from Russia, who live in
19:34Largo, so I asked them what they thought of Clearwater Beach.
19:46Mike from St. Pete, Vijay and Tindal from India, and Jerry and Princess visiting from
20:05Queens, New York.
20:16To walk the pier, it's mostly free, but if you want to go out to the very end, it's
20:20$1.
20:21We'll come back to the pier for sunset, but for now, we head towards the Opal Sands.
20:26On the right is the Barefoot Beach House, a little counter-serve cafe with coffee, ice
20:30cream and snacks.
20:37Across the street are three good eateries.
20:39First is Beachcraft Local Pints and Bites, a sports bar with pizza, tacos and seafood.
20:45Next to that is Krabby's Beachwalk Bar and Grill, with seafood and steak, and some outdoor
20:49games.
20:50And there's Frenchie's South Beach Cafe, known for great grouper sandwiches.
20:57The beach walk ends at the Opal Sands.
21:00The rooms here probably give you the best view in Clearwater Beach, a pool deck right
21:04on the gulf.
21:05And coming in 2025 is the Opal Sol, across the street, where we connect via a skyway
21:10bridge to the Opal Sands.
21:13While there is not a day pass here, you can enjoy the Sand Bar on the lower level, a tiki
21:18bar that overlooks the gulf, with live music, fresh Florida burgers, sandwiches and cocktails.
21:39We now move to the resorts on the south part of the island, along the Clearwater Pass.
21:43Here many of these resorts have little or no beach at all.
21:47Starting with the newest resort at the JW Marriott, the closest resort to the Sand Key
21:52Bridge.
21:53There is a day pass option here, $75 for adults, $50 for children, 3 to 17.
21:59It includes the 11th floor pool deck, with a hot tub.
22:02Also the deep end rooftop bar here, overlooking Sand Key.
22:07Beach chairs are available for a fee, and there's discounted valet parking.
22:11Next to the JW Marriott is the Continental Towers, with vacation rentals you can book
22:16on Vrbo.
22:18Next is the Hampton Inn, which is the only pet friendly resort among these 5 south side
22:22beach resorts.
22:23It's a $75 per stay pet fee.
22:26They have a 6th floor, Evie's Terrace Bar & Bistro, a full service bar with light fare.
22:32Next to the Hampton Inn is the Shepherds Beach Resort, probably the number one resort for
22:37entertainment and nightlife, with the Wave Night Club, with DJs, laser light shows, Fridays,
22:43Saturdays and Sundays.
22:44Also there's the Tiki Beach Bar & Grill, with daily live music on a concert stage.
22:49And they have Yamaha Wave Runners, kayaks, paddle boards, scooters, and bikes available
22:54for rentals.
22:59Next to Shepherds is the Holiday Inn.
23:01There's no beach here, but they have a nice tropical pool deck, and Jimmy's Fish House
23:06and Iguana Bar, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
23:10A highly reviewed eatery, a good casual place to hang out.
23:14And there's the Edge Hotel, which you can probably find a good deal on Booking.com.
23:19They have the largest rooftop bar in Clearwater Beach, on the 10th floor, Jimmy's on the edge.
23:24And on the bottom floor is the Taco Bus, a really good counter serve eatery, with chicken,
23:30beef, pork, seafood, or vegetarian tacos.
23:33Pretty reasonably priced.
23:35I had the taco salad, with this Mexican corn, was really good.
23:40And finally, between the Edge Hotel and the Opal Sands, is 440 West, another vacation
23:45rental you can book on Expedia.
23:50And also, if you want to stay in St. Pete Beach, check out Calm Ocean, that we showed
23:54in the St. Pete Beach video.
24:03Now if you want to enjoy the beach without the high rises, and want a little break from
24:07the more crowded Clearwater Beach, on the other side of the Clearwater Pass, is the
24:12more calmer Sankey Park and Beach.
24:16Here the parking is very reasonable, $5 a day.
24:20While dogs are not allowed on the beach or the boardwalks, they are allowed in the park
24:24areas.
24:25And there's an off-leash dog park.
24:27This beach has good facilities, with restrooms, outdoor showers.
24:31There's an ADA crossover, at least for halfway down the beach.
24:35And also there's a food truck selling burgers, dogs, fish, and ice cream.
24:39You can rent an umbrella and two chairs for $35.
24:44You'll find more wildlife here than on Clearwater Beach.
24:47From mid-May through October, loggerhead sea turtles nest and hatch at the park.
24:55There's shaded areas along the Clearwater Pass to fish or watch the boats coming in
24:59and out of the pass.
25:02Also on the bayside is a little beach area.
25:05You can park your car right on the beach.
25:07It tends not to be too crowded because many people do not know about this area.
25:11You enter through the Clearwater Sailing Center.
25:18Alright now, going back over the bridge back to Clearwater Beach.
25:21Back on South Golf View Boulevard, on the street side of all those Southside Resorts
25:25we just showed.
25:26Here there's Coconut Cove, a pet-friendly place you can find on Vrbo.
25:31Also in this shopping center is Magic Carpet Glide Segway Tours.
25:35It's $65 for a two-hour tour and goes 7.5 miles.
25:41They take you along the beach and the causeway.
25:44And there's Captain Bly's Landing, mini-golf featuring waterfalls, caves, and a wooden
25:48pirate ship.
25:50Now if you would like to ride in a pirate ship, we take you back to the marina to Captain
25:54Mimo's Pirate Cruise.
25:56Of all the pirate ships we've shown in our videos, this is one of the better ones.
26:01It is $45 for adults and $38 for children 3 to 20.
26:05That includes taxes.
26:10The crew is pretty interactive with the kids, they make it fun.
26:16They also have a Sunset Champagne Cruise that's about $3 more.
26:26And did you know, there's a pirate, or at least a deserted island castaway, who plays
26:31on the Philadelphia Phillies, that you can see at Baycare Ballpark, as Clearwater is
26:35the spring home of the Phillies.
26:40You also get to see one of the most famous mascots in sports, the Philly Phanatic.
26:46While spring training lasts from the end of February to the end of March, you can also
26:49see the Clearwater Threshers, the single-A affiliate of the Phillies, who play here as
26:54well from April to September.
26:56It provides an additional entertainment to the beach that you might want to consider.
27:01Ran into subscribers Ava, Laura, and Jeff visiting from Maryland.
27:14You can sit in what's called the Bern, a grassy area beyond the outfield.
27:18You are allowed to bring blankets if sitting in the Bern, but no folding or camp chairs.
27:24On the left field, there's Frenchies Tiki Bar, with picnic tables also in the outfield.
27:30On this day, the home team would lose to the Tampa Bay Rays, devastating the Philly Phanatic.
27:41All right, we head back to Pier 60 Park.
27:43This is a nice green space area near the roundabout, at the center of Clearwater Beach, with a
27:48playground.
27:49During the Sugar Sand Festival, there's free concerts in this park, Fridays, Saturdays,
27:54and Sundays.
27:55The Sugar Sand Festival happens for 17 days in early April.
27:59It's an exhibit of amazing sand sculptures, where artists from around the world have come
28:03into Clearwater to create.
28:06It is $14 for admission.
28:07Children 3 and under are free.
28:09Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., or 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
28:14During the festival, there are extra food vendors around the tent.
28:20This coconut shrimp is pretty good.
28:24There's also amusements, bounce houses, bungee jumps, and a ferris wheel for kids.
28:30And year-round, on the side of the pier, is a little fun zone, by Big Event Slides, with
28:35a bungee trampoline and inflatables.
28:37It operates like a carnival, where you buy tickets.
28:40They also have these slides on Treasure Island, as well.
28:47Every evening, weather permitting, is the Sunset Celebration, which starts two hours
28:52before sunset to two hours after sunset.
28:55You'll find lots of vendors on the pier, as well as street performers doing some talented
29:00tricks with lots of humor.
29:14I bring my own professional photographers.
29:36We showed you some of the smaller boat tours.
29:50Now it's time to show the larger dinner cruises.
29:53First, there's Yacht Starship.
29:55A sunset buffet dinner cruise is $80 for adults, $50 for children 2 through 12.
30:01In addition, there's about $9 in taxes and fees.
30:04It includes an open bar and complimentary tea and coffee.
30:08They also have an afternoon cruise that's about $20 cheaper.
30:13Next is the Starlight Majesty.
30:15With them, the cruise without the dinner is $30 for adults, $20 for children 3 to 12.
30:21Taxes and fees about $5.
30:23For the dinner, you order on board from a menu, like you would in a restaurant.
30:28Dinner ranges from $20 to $35.
30:31I chose the Calypso Queen, which is also operated by Starlight Cruises.
30:35For the evening tropical buffet cruise, it is $53 for adults and $33 for children 3 to
30:4112.
30:42You can also do the cruise without the buffet, which is about half that price.
30:47With the buffet, you get complimentary beer, wine, and rum punch, as well as soft drinks.
30:54They also have an afternoon buffet cruise that is slightly cheaper.
30:57The nice thing about the Calypso Queen, being three stories, has a nice elevated deck, gives
31:02you a good view.
31:04All three of these cruises will take you out through the Clearwater Pass, by Sand Key,
31:08out into the Gulf.
31:13And there's the Tropics Boat Tours, a double-decker catamaran, with both an enclosed area on the
31:19bottom and a sun deck on top.
31:21A day or sunset cruise is $32 for adults, $20 for children 4 to 12.
31:28While this is not a dinner cruise, it does include a complimentary champagne toast, and
31:32they do have a bar with snacks and cocktails.
31:34This is the Paradise Express Boat Tour out of Dunedin that we showed in the Dunedin video.
31:40You also have a couple of Tiki Tour options.
31:43There's Go Tiki Tours, with a two-hour private tour, $59 per adult, $49 for children 12 and
31:50under.
31:51The boat can hold up to 13 passengers.
31:53There's also Cruising Tiki's Clearwater, with a public 90-minute cruise, $50 per person,
31:59or a private cruise, $299 for up to 6 people.
32:07We still have the sailboat cruises to show, but first we want to do a quick tour around
32:11North Clearwater Beach.
32:13From the marina, you can easily walk under the causeway, on this wrap-around fishing
32:16pier, under the bridge.
32:19Or if driving at the roundabout, you bear to the right on Mandalay Boulevard.
32:24On the corner here, the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop.
32:27Above that, the Hooters Sports Bar.
32:29And above that, on the third floor, is the Three Daughters Brewery, giving a 220-degree
32:33view overlooking Pier 60 and the marina, with beach bites, craft brews, and hard ciders.
32:39Further down Mandalay are Dunkin Donuts, and the Surfside Tap House, with burgers, seafood,
32:44and sandwiches.
32:46On the bay side is the Courtyard by Marriott.
32:49A newer hotel, just opened a couple of years ago, with lounge decks on both the bay and
32:54the beach side.
32:56On the south side of the hotel is the Papaya Street Plaza, with a modern fishing deck.
33:03As well as a boardwalk on the bay side of the hotel.
33:07For a more budget-friendly hotel, there's this Frenchie's Oasis, but it's not pet-friendly.
33:12In this area is also Frenchie's Saltwater Cafe, and Coco's Crush Bar and Grill, where
33:18I ordered a shrimp dinner.
33:20They also had these fried Brussels sprouts, that were similar to Guy Fieri's Downtown
33:24Flavortown and Pigeon Forge, that I always order.
33:28Now heading towards North Beach, on Mandalay is the Pelican Walk Shop and Mall, with several
33:34eateries, and most notably, Hogan's Hangout, by former pro wrestler and beloved resident
33:40of Clearwater, Hulk Hogan.
33:46At the North Beach is the Rockaway Parking Lot, it is the normal $3 per hour.
33:51Here there are two of Clearwater's best restaurants, with sand volleyball courts in between.
33:58On one side of the lot is the Palm Pavilion, and on the other side of the lot is Frenchie's
34:03Rockaway Grill, both restaurants with seating overlooking the beach.
34:08At the beach you can rent an umbrella and two chairs for $25, with North Beach Water
34:12Sports.
34:13Additional chairs, $10.
34:16They also have kayak and paddle board rentals, $35 per hour, a banana boat for $25, and jet
34:22skis $150 for an hour rental, or $180 for a 90 minute tour, or $350 for a complete Clearwater
34:29Beach 3 hour tour.
34:32Also at North Beach is the Sand Pearl Resort.
34:36Now heading back towards Pier 60, on Mandalay, is the Salty Crab, and we end at the closest
34:45resort to Pier 60, the Hilton Clearwater Beach, with a pool deck right on the beach.
34:55They also have the famous Tommy's Tiki Bar, with a nice area to lounge in, with anti-ironic
35:00chairs and tables.
35:02Alright now it's time to head back to the marina, we saved the best for last, as we
35:06hop on the Clearwater schooner for a 2 hour sunset sail.
35:11There is also Kailani you might like, with that one the music is louder though, and it's
35:16really a catamaran worth a sail, whereas the Clearwater schooner is more of a natural experience,
35:22on a true sailboat.
35:24It's $75 for adults, $50 for children 5 to 12, really well worth it, maybe budget an
35:31additional 20% for tips.
35:39As the sails go up, the engine is turned off, you feel like you go back in time to
35:44a simpler world, where you are at one with the nature.
35:52They take limited passengers to make sure it's not too crowded, while they do have
35:56some seating in the boat, they also have cushions along the side of the boat, which is what
36:00I prefer, to feel the wind on the face, hear the sounds of the waves, truly one of the
36:05best ways to experience the Gulf.
36:12Oh, and did I mention the sunset?
36:32So if you are feeling stressed out, and want to break free from the daily routine, maybe
36:36all you need is a little stimulation for that blue mind.
36:40Enjoy God's nature, whether it's a boat tour, water sports, the beach, or just hanging
36:52out on the water, Clearwater Beach gives you so many ways to enjoy the waters of Florida's
36:58Gulf Coast.
