00:00The Malaysian Medical Association has expressed concern
00:06regarding the latest report on the case of negligence in the removal of a social security fund
00:14that involves the establishment of a medical institution in Penang Island.
00:17President of the MMA, Dr. Karl Winder Singh, said the association fully supports
00:23all relevant authorities, including the Malaysian Corruption Prevention Agency
00:28to carry out a fair and comprehensive investigation into the matter.
00:33On September 4, three experts were reported among the 33 individuals who were interviewed
00:39to assist in the investigation of the SPRM against the Perkeso case of negligence
00:45involving RM2.1 million.
00:48It involves 30 people, consisting of 19 defendants, 8 agents and 3 inmates.
00:54Two bone specialists aged 43 and 50 served in a government hospital across Jaya
01:00while another was a doctor from a private hospital.
01:04The next day, two more doctors were arrested for their activities in the cartel
01:09which has been claimed to be active since 2017.
