Ministers in the new Northern Territory government have been officially sworn this morning, following the Country Liberal Party's landslide election win last month. There are two first-time members of parliament in Lia Finocchiaro's new cabinet, which she says will be focussed fully on addressing crime and growing the economy.

00:07under the former Labor government now scrapped or restructured.
00:10Chief Minister Leah Finocchiaro flagged further announcements later today about how her government
00:15will operate, including with the appointment of a Territory Coordinator.
00:20We will certainly be having a system where we go back to a specialised public service,
00:25build capacity in our own people.
00:27And I've been very clear to CEOs that this is about growing our own.
00:31The housing portfolio has seen a restructure following the Federal announcement of a 10-year,
00:36$4 billion agreement with Bill Yan, now Treasurer, also the dedicated Housing Construction Minister.
00:43Josh Burgoyne, the former Shadow Agriculture Minister, has been sworn in as the Minister
00:47for Lands, Planning and Environment, and the Minister for the Separate Portfolio of Water
00:52Resources.
00:54Under the Lawler government, those portfolios sat together, along with climate change, which
00:58has now been scrapped.
