00:00I'm Hannah, this is Gavin, the ranger. We've just opened our new venue, Bottling Town.
00:07We had our venue across the road at 15 Knysford Gate and we've just expanded to a new bigger
00:13premises on Elderway. We got to the point in our old premises where we were just too
00:18small to be able to grow and to take in the extra customer base that we wanted to be able
00:23to serve. So we've taken the opportunity to expand, moved into one of the bigger units
00:28on Elderway and it's meant that we've been able to offer more seats to customers but
00:34also add to the business. So we've got an extra bar area, private hire area, which has
00:41meant that we can offer a lot more that we wanted to be able to in our old premises but
00:45we just didn't have the space to be able to offer it. So we're really excited to see what
00:51else we can do here. So you've taken on more staff now? Yes, we've expanded I'd say by
00:5830% so far but we're already recruiting at the moment for an events coordinator and some
01:05extra chefs just because we've been so much busier. We thought we'd be busy but it has
01:14been unexpectedly busy. We're already expanding our workforce which is really exciting. The
01:21team have been working very hard to get the business ready and then to be working with
01:29the bigger numbers in a bigger venue. So everybody's needed a well-deserved rest at the minute
01:34but we are taking more staff on and we're excited to do that. We've served the same
01:39as what we used to serve before in terms of breakfast and brunch offering. We've still
01:43got the small plates offering but we do double the numbers now so you don't have to be able
01:50to get in on a Saturday night anymore. The private hire areas have been a real plus for
01:56us because we've now got event space so people can have a 30th birthday with us, a wedding.
02:02We've got a few wedding reception inquiries through, baby showers etc. and you've all
02:08got their own little private space, their own bar, a little courtyard on the side so
02:12I feel like that's a massive plus. Also the weekend it's really good to have a bar area
02:17so I've seen quite a lot of people that used to come in for drinks more but then couldn't
02:22really get a seat at the bar and now started coming in here so we get a lot more drinkers
02:26in here like just having a nice date night cocktail or a glass of wine. I feel like we've
02:32got three different revenue streams now which is quite great for us. We just want to mention
02:37how grateful we are for the support that we've had so far since opening. We've had lots of
02:42our regular customers in so lots of old friendly faces but also lots of new people trying us
02:48and it's been so lovely to meet everybody. Obviously I haven't been here as much. No,
02:52I haven't been living and breathing it. But yeah, everybody's been so supportive and the
02:57feedback we've had so far has been brilliant and as a town it just feels like everybody's
03:04been behind us. There's a lot of comments saying it's like having a city venue in a
03:08town which I think Chesterfield have been crying out for something new and exciting
03:13so hopefully this will be the start of maybe more development in this area. I really hope
03:18so. More people we speak to but people just want there to be more to go to in the town
03:24centre and to see that town centre come back to life really so hopefully more people will
03:29come in and really build this up here.
