00:27And Ray, this may be a point that I inadvertently glaze over during the opening segment,
00:31but Iliade did have a fight where he has stepped up before.
00:34This is certainly not the first time.
00:36The only loss on his record is against 8-1-1 Anthony Castellanos.
00:40So perhaps Lee, or rather Iliade, is a guy that just likes to take that challenge when it's there.
00:45And this is an opportunity to come in here against a 10-0 fighter.
00:48And you know the risk-reward here, right?
00:50Obviously another loss works against you,
00:52but a victory over a 10-0 fighter who is considered one of the prospects in that division
00:56could really spring him forward to the next level.

01:46But he's continued throwing that jab.
01:48If I believe that was a straight right, right to the body.
01:50He got him right there to the body.

01:53And Ricky Gonzalez administering the count.
01:57Looks like he's just taking that eight seconds as he should.

02:17A lot of fighters sometimes, Ray, as you know, have trouble with shorter fighters.

02:23But Eamon Lee is having no trouble adjusting.

02:33It's a Mayweather style, but a lot different than the Mayweather style.

02:41And he's walking right into his right hand.
02:43A lot of fighters try to emulate it, but few can really duplicate that style.

03:37Certainly a much better start to this fight for Lee,
03:40who took a few rounds last time against Luis Prosler to get going.

03:45He came out, you know, like I said, Anthony Iliade is a lefty.
03:49A lot of times orthodox fighters don't continue using their jab.
03:53With Eamon, he's continuing using his jab, popping it,
03:56and making Anthony walk into his straight right hand,
03:59which he's landing to the body and to the head.
04:01You may recognize some of the faces in Eamon Lee's corner.
04:05His father, one of his coaches,
04:08and, of course, Coach Dave McDonough from Champs Boxing Gym in Danbury, Connecticut.
04:12That's the gym that's run by A.J. Galante,
04:14and where many tough, tough fighters out of Connecticut have trained.
04:18It's where Giuseppe Cusimano, the big Italian heavyweight, relocated.

04:34I love how Eamon Lee, changing levels earlier on in this fight,
04:37certainly making Eliade think.
04:39And he's a taller guy.
04:40Absolutely.
04:41You would think he would go to the body, but he is.

05:14But still, he's very confident and calm.

05:34He's putting it on Anthony's right shoulder.
05:36And as soon as he opens it up,

05:42that sometimes it's not as easy for the taller fighters
05:44to go to the body against the shorter fighter.

05:52Every time Ian jabs, he's jumping in.
05:56He's open for that right hand down the middle.

06:10Rarely has he faced somebody of the caliber of Eamon Lee.

08:58It was a 10-8 round.
08:59You know, he's being very patient,
09:01as Connor was yelling to his father.
09:03Be patient.
09:04He's walking into the punches.

09:06Set him right up.
09:07When he's getting him on the ropes,
09:08he's letting the combinations down to that body,
09:10which is weird for a tall fighter like Anthony.
09:13He started the body first, then working his way up.
09:16Oh, a nice body shot there, just as you mentioned it, Ray.
09:19Eamon Lee continues.
09:21Yeah, continues to work the body.
09:25And to go back to a point you made in round number two,
09:27he's not just walking him down without purpose.
09:30He's throwing punches as he walks Eliade down.
09:35Just spin him, Eamon.
09:36Spin him and keep working.
09:37And as you put it, Ray, make him earn that space.
09:40Yeah, the body shots are definitely working.

09:45Every time Elliot comes in,
09:48he's looking to hold instead of punch.

09:54It seems like Eliade's trying to find his way on the inside,
09:56but the minute he gets in there,
09:57he bails kind of quickly on that plan
09:59and he'll try to wrap up Eamon Lee.
10:01And there Lee again, yeah.
10:03That wasn't a body shot there,
10:04but that's what he's scared of.
10:06There he goes.
10:07He goes inside and right away grab.
10:09Eliade using the ropes for some support there
10:11after that combination.
10:12And I think Ricky Gonzalez now deducting a point

10:19maybe for the holding?
10:21It definitely is.
10:22Every time he gets inside,
10:24he's looking to hold instead of punch.
10:26He's just looking to hold.
10:28That's what he wants to be,
10:29but he's looking right away to hold.
10:31Now Eliade's in the soup here, Ray.
10:33He lost the first round 10-8
10:35and most likely lost the second round 10-9.
10:37And now on the verge of potentially another 10-8 round
10:40to work against him halfway through the fight.
10:43At some point, whether it's now or going into round four,
10:46Eliade's going to have to be a little more aggressive
10:48and he's going to win the fight.
10:49Yeah, he's definitely going to need a knockout
10:51to get a win here.
10:52It almost becomes mathematically impossible
10:54when you get to that point halfway through
10:56and you have Eman Lee who just continues to dictate the pace.
10:59I believe he gave him a point for that.

11:04He purposely spit out that mouthpiece right there.
11:07It didn't come out.
11:08I noticed him spitting that right out.
11:10So again, Eliade lost the point for holding
11:13and now Eman Lee trying to pour it on here
11:15in the final minute of round three.
11:18We have another timeout.
11:20And there's that mouthpiece you mentioned, Ray.
11:23Ricky Gonzalez walks Eliade over to the corner,
11:26get it cleaned up, and then we'll finish round three.
11:28But again, so far, Eman Lee just doing what he wants to do in there
11:32I guess would be the best way to put it.
11:36Mouthpiece hit the ground again.
11:37He spit it out again.
11:40So much for cleaning it up.
11:41But anyway, round three continues.
11:43Final 30 seconds.
11:47He's looking for a way to get out of here, I think,
11:49instead of, you know, finding a way out,
11:50he's looking for a way to get a way out.

11:52Jab, jab.
11:54You got to jab first.
11:55That's what happens.

12:13And now here comes Lee trying to close out the final few seconds here

12:16Eliade continues to hold as these two drive into the ropes again.
12:19And that is the end of round three.
12:21So by all accounts, looks like Eman Lee up by five points on the cards
12:27with two 10-8 rounds going into the fourth round.
12:29This is the point where Eliade is going to have to get things going,
12:31if at all.
12:32Yeah, definitely.
12:33That was a 10-8 round.
12:34What happens is the score is scored as usual, 10-9 for Eman.
12:41At the end of the fight, then you take that one point off,
12:44which comes to a 10-8.
12:45But he's looking to get to you.
12:47I believe he's looking for a way to get out of here, you know.
12:49And Eman's frustrated.
12:51He gets in there.
12:52He's holding him.
12:53So you can see his corner right now calming him down.
12:55So, you know, just continue with doing these.
12:57Either you're going to quit or you're going to knock him out.
12:59But this isn't going to the scorecards.
13:01Well, that's where that jab comes in, as you heard Eman Lee's corner say.
13:04Continue to jab first and not let Eliade try to leap his way in.
13:08That's what he tries to do.
13:09He's very elusive and quick.
13:11And at a moment's notice, all of a sudden, Eliade's right there in your face.
13:14And if you don't start with that jab, that's what happens.
13:17But so far, Eman Lee's worked that game plan perfectly, right?
13:20I think he has done a great job with the jab.
13:22And I think, as you said, Eliade's frustrated, in a sense,
13:25where he's just trying to wrap up and hold as he can't get anything going on the inside.
13:30See, the first thing Eman did, he came out with three jabs.

14:58They must have left a pretty good puddle over there in the corner because Zeemon Lee went down pretty hard.
15:02That can be dangerous, Ray. I mean, you could twist an ankle doing that.
15:05Oh, definitely. That corner's wet there.
15:08The ankle just goes.
15:10Especially when you're fighting lefty, your foot's off balance.
15:13Your front foot's on top of his toe.
15:15Luckily, everything seems to be okay.
15:17And down goes Iliadi again.
15:19Another straight right to that body.
15:21Once again, Zeemon Lee dangerous to the body.
15:30Iliadi takes a full eight seconds.
15:32Here comes Lee now with a minute to go.
15:34Should've came out with that jab like Papa Tom.
15:37That jab would've gave him the range he needed.
15:40Lee definitely smelling blood on the water here in these final few seconds of round four.
15:45Trying to end this one with a bang.
15:48So far, he's dropped Iliadi twice.
15:50That's three 10-8 rounds if you're scoring along with us at home.
15:56There he goes back to the holding.
15:58And probably the wiser strategy for Iliadi at this point.

16:03When you're hurt, the best thing to do is hold. Let the referee do his job.
16:06Something a lot of fighters don't seem to embrace.
16:09Again, it's easier said than done when you're here.
16:11Of course, once you're in there.
16:13Here comes Zeemon Lee again.
16:15Working his way into the body now back upstairs.
16:17And Iliadi in some trouble here in these final 15 seconds.

16:24Iliadi taking some punishment, and there he goes holding on again for dear life.

16:36And you wonder at this point if the corner or Ricky Gonzalez himself may stop this.
16:41I know Iliadi doesn't appear to the naked eye to be in danger of being hurt,
16:44but he's slumped over in his corner.
16:46He's been knocked down twice.
16:47And we take a look at some of the replays here.
16:49And you're really not putting up much of a fight here.
16:51Straight right to that body.
16:52A jab with the first thing that blinds him.
16:54Blind him, and then let it go.
16:56Again, down to that body.
16:58And he keeps bending down at his waist instead of his knees, Anthony.
17:01So you're going to be easy to hit that straight body to not take a right hook.

17:23Anthony Iliadi will need to channel some inner Muhammad Ali to get this one.

19:01A much sharper performance than what we saw with his CES debut back in May.
19:06And it looks like he shook off any rust he might have.
19:08And he's got a big future ahead of him.

19:18But the jab is setting everything on there.

19:33And the one thing I like, too, Ray, is that Iman Lee took a challenge tonight

19:37I think it's a good test for somebody who is taller to try to get in there
19:40and face different kinds of fights and different kinds of styles.
