00:00Meanwhile, another fine for them along the same lines in New Jersey.
00:07What happened here?
00:08Yeah.
00:09And we just reported on this yesterday, Craig.
00:11Bet365 has now twice in the last two months, it was in July and then again in August, that
00:18they were fined for doing just this in New Jersey, for changing bets after the fact without
00:25New Jersey's permission.
00:29And they're not happy about that.
00:31New Jersey is not happy about that, that this is a consistent issue for Bet365 because we're
00:38not talking about a small sportsbook here that doesn't have the money or the capacity
00:43to make sure that all of their markets are correct.
00:46Bet365 is potentially the biggest regulated sportsbook in the world.
00:53They make money hand over fist.
00:55It's owned privately by Diane Coates in the UK.
01:00They're not hurting for money.
01:01They're not hurting for resources.
01:04And yet now they've been fined, I think it's about $550,000 over these two different fines
01:12from New Jersey for changing bets after they have been placed and after they should have
01:19settled without New Jersey Gaming and the Attorney General's office oversees that.
01:23We reached out to them as well.
01:24And they did not comment on whether Bet365 would be facing some kind of backlash or some
01:30kind of fine that they have to pay for doing this with Mason.
01:36Because remember, it's not that they said, well, we might, no, they sent out the email
01:41saying we are going to settle these bets this way.
01:46And so we can't say, you know, they came to their senses and decided not to do it.
01:51Well, no, they did do it.
01:53And maybe somebody said, hey, wait a minute, remember how Jersey said that we can't do
01:57this again?
01:58And, you know, you would love to know what those conversations with the Slack channel
02:02looked like when in those those waning hours of Tuesday morning.
02:07I don't know if I'm New Jersey and I have specifically said now, don't do this again.
02:14And they do it again.
02:15I'm coming back with a fine, even though they decided against it.
02:21It's, you know, it's a black eye enough, like you said, Craig, with the Jordan with
02:25the Mason issue.
02:26But now we're looking at this being a repeated issue and not just a repeated issue, but something
02:34that they did after being clearly told by one of the best regulators in the U.S., don't
02:41do it again.
02:42We will take further action against you.
02:45So we're clearly going to be watching this.
02:49It takes some time for these issues to work their way through the DG.
02:53So I don't know when we would get an answer on it if we ever do it all, you know, right.
02:58I guess if we go two years without hearing about them getting fined, then they didn't
03:01get fined.
03:02But I can't see the DG being too happy about this.
