00:00So folks, what you can see now, the crew has arrived on the scene, the OIC will do a scene
00:29safety scan of the incident to make sure that the crews are going to be safe during

00:55Now the OIC, he's telling the crews what he wants done to rescue the casualty, so he's
01:08conveyed out a plan, so he's got an A plan and a B plan.
01:12The B plan is an emergency, so in this incident, he's just opened the driver's door, and if
01:19there's an emergency, so the casualty can move rapidly.
01:25The A plan will be the golden standard, so in this case, it's going to be full roof removal,
01:30which will give full space creation.
01:33Now you can see the crews, as it goes on the passenger side, they're stabilizing the vehicle,
01:49so they're not going to transfer any more injury into the peasantry.
01:55At the same time, they've made all the glass safe, they've covered that in a material called
02:01pack-axe, so there's no injury to the personnel working on scene.
02:15Now you can see at the rear of the vehicle here, the crews are working, they're setting
02:19up an equipment dump.
02:20This is where anything that they're going to use to effect the rescue will be laid out.
02:25You can see hydraulic equipment, and they're also going to set up a casualty handling area
02:31as well, so once the casualty goes out, that'll be their focus on removing the casualty safely.
02:55So now the crews have removed the back door, they're starting to make inroads,
03:12to make contact with the casualty.
03:25At this stage here, you'll see the crews are working on both sides of the shower.
05:55So folks, what you can see here, one of the crew has brought over the OIC here, a print-off
06:20from our appliance.
06:22And on this print-off, it's got all the details of each vehicle.
06:26It's going to put in the details of this car, what it's going to tell them is where the
06:30safety restraint systems are placed in this vehicle, so when we're cutting, we avoid the
06:36safety restraints, and providing our crews more protection.

08:34Folks, what you can see here, it's really important that the OIC, the cab, takes control
08:42of the whole incident, keeping the crews safe, and also the casualties.
09:05And I think what you've witnessed here is a real professional RTC work by the crew,
09:16but as you can appreciate, we do have the best class hydraulic tools and cordless equipment,
09:22but it's still really noisy, so traumatic for the casualty and their own crews.
09:35So, now at this stage, they've made their space creation, and the OIC is going to convey
09:42to the crews the plan to remove the casualty.
09:47And once it's ready, the crews will execute the casualty to a safe area.

10:24What you can see also is that this is a luminous cover over the edges of the cab.
10:29That's been created by the sharps.
10:32When we cut the glass through the metal, it exposes a lot of sharp edges, so the crews
10:38have to make it safe for both themselves and the casualty.

11:18And what you can see here, the crews are preparing to bring the casualty out on the longboard,
11:23and once it's secure and in a safe manner, they will execute the casualty to safety.
