00:00Eddy, I'm with you to the end.
00:08This is your captain speaking. If you look out to your left, you'll see a beautiful view of the Grand Canyon.
00:15Told you we could fly!
00:16Found us some clues, didn't we?
00:27You piece of trash!
00:28You piece of trash!
00:41You're not going to like this.
00:42No, I can absolutely guarantee you I'm not going to.
00:45My home has found us.
00:48Who sent that thing?
00:52My creator.
00:53Of course.
00:58The symbiotes didn't come here by accident.
01:02They were running.
01:03From what?
01:04What's his name, then?
01:05Eeyore.
01:06No!
01:14We have something he needs.
01:18As long as there are lives,
01:22everything will end.
01:29We've come a long way, you and me.
01:33What are we doing?
01:34We need a disguise.
01:35Hey, man.
01:41Why do you keep knocking people out?
01:43What is wrong with you?
01:44I'm sorry!
01:48This world can't survive if you stay together.
01:51But I need him.
01:58I need him.
02:03Be honest with me.
02:04How fast do you think you can get that thing to go without killing it?
02:11We are bad people.
02:12Yeah, we are!
02:15This is all the money that we have.
02:16What is this feeling?
02:17It's like...
02:18This feeling?
02:19It's like all of my problems have gone away!
02:23There comes a time in every man's life
02:26where you have to make a sacrifice.
02:32I'm with you to the end.
02:43No!
02:46I think you broke my foot.
02:47Better.
02:48I need more money.
02:50Welcome back, everyone.
02:51It's Charlie.
02:52Recently, Sony and Marvel dropped a brand new Venom The Last Dance trailer and they confirm Null.
02:57All our theories we had, we thought this was building up to Null.
03:00I wasn't expecting more than like a tease.
03:02But it seems like he's actually critical in the main villain of the actual plot.
03:07They made us think the Xenophage was going to be the main villain.
03:10But now they're saying that Null controls the Xenophage and he needs the Venom character.
03:15That probably has something to do with the All Black from the comics.
03:19Basically, the primal symbiote.
03:21So we'll explain it because it sounds like they're going full King in Black during this movie.
03:26If you're brand new to the channel, be sure to subscribe to get all the videos.
03:29This is actually a pretty big deal.
03:31If you've been reading the Venom comics recently, it's blown up around the Null character.
03:35Like Venom has become a really big deal the past several years.
03:38Kind of around the time the first Venom movie started to happen when that became a thing.
03:42But I think we'd always assume that Null was going to be their Thanos-level villain of this Sony Venomverse.
03:48Like all the Spider-Man spinoff movies outside of the MCU.
03:51They didn't have actual Spider-Man in them.
03:53But I guess they're trying to go out in the Venom movies with a bang.
03:56So this is what Null looks like.
03:58Here's the thing though, in the trailer it says he needs something that the Venom symbiote says that they have.
04:04The early theory is that Eddie has the primal symbiote.
04:07Like the Venom symbiote is the primal symbiote, the All Black.
04:11So that he can regain his status as King in Black and control all symbiotes.
04:15Because during the trailer they also imply that the symbiotes didn't come to planet Earth during the first Venom movie.
04:21They actually purposefully were running away from the symbiote's home planet and from Null.
04:26We even see what looks like the symbiote hive mind here.
04:29Like all the different connections that I talked about in the previous trailer.
04:32Where they're using the transition titles.
04:33Like them all forming these tendrils into different forms in the background.
04:37Forming into a ball.
04:38But then this depiction here with the ghostly figures seems like the way they're visualizing the hive mind in a more cosmic sense.
04:46Like across the multiverse binding all the different symbiotes to each other.
04:50It's part of the whole reason why the Venom symbiote was able to remember Spider-Man as that guy.
04:56Even though it didn't know Tom Holland had never seen him before.
04:59It remembered Spider-Man from the Topher Grace version of Venom across the multiverse.
05:04Because of the hive mind.
05:05They haven't announced who's playing the Null character and what's going to happen to him after this movie.
05:10Because it feels like it would be weird if Venom killed him in this film.
05:15Like he's such a huge character in the comics.
05:17It just feels like there's something bigger headed down the road for him.
05:20And even though they keep pitching this movie as the last Venom movie for Tom Hardy's Venom character.
05:26Like they're gonna have to break up in the movie.
05:28That's why it's called The Last Dance.
05:29Making more Chicago Bulls documentary references.
05:32The last time that they're together.
05:34Tom Hardy is supposed to continue as the Venom character just outside of Venom solo movies.
05:39I don't know if this means that Null is going to show up during Secret Wars.
05:43It just feels like such a huge character.
05:45The symbiotes in general.
05:46I think that we'll only get some light references.
05:49Just because Kevin Feige has so much of a mess in the MCU that they're trying to clean up with Secret Wars.
05:55Like they have their own problems they're dealing with.
05:57Everybody let me know in the comments.
05:59Do you think the thing that Venom has that Null wants is the all black?
06:03What else could he possibly have that Null wants?
06:06If you haven't read the more recent comics, Donny Cates sort of gets into this deeper Venom lore.
06:11It's actually pretty cool stuff.
06:12And a lot of it connects with a lot of the other Marvel lore.
06:15Like Guardians of the Galaxy, The Eternals with the Celestials, even the Thor comics and their lore.
06:20Part of the idea is that Null is a cosmic character.
06:23Incredibly powerful that comes from the chaos that existed before the Big Bang.
06:28So he comes from this black chaos of nothingness.
06:30And he seeks to return the multiverse to that black nothingness.
06:35So his whole master plan is to conquer the multiverse eventually.
06:39If you remember the dead head of the Celestial nowhere during the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
06:44The comics actually canonized that Null is the person who beheaded that Celestial.
06:49He did so with the all black, which was a sword that he created from a piece of himself.
06:54Which was the very first primal symbiote.
06:58During a very long comics run, he seeks to regain the all black.
07:02Regain his power and control over all symbiotes around the universe.
07:06When he's creating the symbiotes, like the symbiotes are all based on pieces of him essentially.
07:11That's why Venom says this is my creator.
07:13He's literally created from a piece of Null's body.
07:16When Null started to do that, he also created the symbiote hive mind connecting them all.
07:22It also serves as sort of like an afterlife alternate dimension.
07:25Which the symbiotes host can also get trapped in and then reemerge from.
07:29So for instance, Eddie could theoretically die and then be brought back from the symbiote hive mind.
07:35It's a little bit like the Moon Knight series where you see him die, go to the Duat, the Egyptian afterlife.
07:40And then come back to the realm of the living.
07:42I don't know if they're gonna get that trippy during the movie.
07:45Like we'll see Eddie die and then resurface from the symbiote hive mind.
07:48But there's a reason why they're showing that during the movie.
07:51Most of the trailer footage implies that they're just gonna show the symbiote hive mind to show you Null controlling or communicating with the symbiote and the xenophage from across the universe from the symbiote's home planet.
08:02There was an early plan for Spider-Man No Way Home in case they didn't get Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
08:07Where Venom was gonna be a bigger character during that final fight and Tom Holland would have gotten the symbiote during that.
08:13But they did wind up getting Tobey and Andrew.
08:15So they pushed a lot of the Venom crossover for like further on.
08:18Like we'll deal with this in the future movie.
08:20We can do this whenever we feel like it.
08:22My assumption before seeing all this Null stuff, like seeing how big and cosmic they're getting in this third Venom movie, is that they would push a lot of the Spider-Man crossover stuff to Secret Wars.
08:31Just because that's where he got the symbiote was during Secret Wars.
08:34But it was the alien costume during that.
08:36They retconned it later to be the Venom symbiote.
08:39For those of you asking, Toxin is in this movie.
08:42He's even more powerful than Venom, more powerful than Carnage.
08:45When Patrick Mulligan is speaking to them from behind the glass, that's the symbiote's voice you're hearing, Toxin's voice.
08:51One of the bigger changes it seems like they're making to the comics lore is that they're making it seem like Null is controlling the Xenophage and sends them to planet Earth to bring Venom back to him, to his planet.
09:04So I think part of the threat in the movie, when you hear Patricia Robertson and the other characters say that the Earth is threatened while you two are together, while Venom is still bonded to Eddie, is the idea that Null threatens to destroy the Earth to get Venom back, to get the symbiote back.
09:19So it sounds like they're trying to separate Eddie and the Venom symbiote so that Null can get what he wants and hopefully will leave.
09:26Probably the real question though, if Null is so powerful, will he actually physically come to planet Earth?
09:32Or is this just a teaser for some huge, bigger team-up that Sony is trying to do in the future?
09:37Sort of like Guardians of the Galaxy or like the Avengers post-credits scene where you see Thanos on his throne, then sort of turn around and start yelling like very menacingly.
09:46But he doesn't actually come to planet Earth until Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
09:51Is it going to be a similar situation with a character like Null?
09:54Just because there is so much new footage in this trailer, starting at the beginning, you see him attached to the side of the plane here.
10:00I talked about this earlier, he makes the Tom Cruise joke, like how does Tom Cruise do this?
10:04A joke on all the crazy Mission Impossible stunts that he does.
10:07I also explained in my last video how Tom Cruise and Marvel go way, way back.
10:12He almost played a couple really big characters.
10:14When it says they're flying over the Grand Canyon, this is probably on his way to Vegas, because it does seem like their big fights happen in and around Vegas.
10:22When the symbiote says, told you we could fly, that's also a joke on symbiote wings.
10:26You also see him form the symbiote parachute.
10:28That might be a prelude to actual symbiote wings.
10:31When the symbiote starts to explain his creator, Null, where he came from, why they ran away from his creator,
10:38and you see the symbiote hive mind with all those dead-seeming cosmic-looking symbiotes, like that's the symbiote hive mind.
10:44Just because this one looks white, I don't know necessarily that that's meant to be an anti-Venom teaser or anything like that.
10:51I think this is just meant to be the way they're visualizing the cosmic connection of the hive mind.
10:55There's a very brief shot of Null on his throne, which is meant to be based on this comic book shot.
11:00Very iconic Null shot.
11:02Usually when you see pictures of Null, this is amongst them.
11:05We get a wider shot of a bunch more symbiotes than we saw before.
11:09During the earlier trailers, when they were panning across the different symbiotes here,
11:12we only saw two of them, but now it seems like they have four, maybe more.
11:16Orwell Taylor seems like he learns about Null from the toxin symbiote inside Patrick Mulligan.
11:22We see the Xenophage walking around the symbiote's home planet.
11:26Notice when Eddie asks what Null's name is, the symbiote says no, like he's about to say Null,
11:31but says no instead, don't speak it out loud.
11:34Sort of like a Voldemort, Harry Potter situation, like don't speak his name out loud because his name carries some power with it.
11:40There's that line again, we have something he needs.
11:43Like I said, I think that has something to do with the all-black, the primal symbiote.
11:47So maybe, maybe early theory, we will see Venom become the king in black during this movie,
11:52or depends on what they're going to do with Null in the future if they plan to use him more.
11:56It would be a huge bummer if they got rid of him after this movie,
11:59like he's just too big of a character to do him as a one-and-done kind of thing.
12:03Please don't gore the god butcher Null, god of symbiotes, during this movie.
12:07This dude in Vegas seems like he pisses himself as the symbiote knocks him out
12:11and they turn themselves into a symbiote tuxedo.
12:14There's a quick montage of the symbiote saying they've been through a lot together,
12:17showing clips from the previous Venom movies.
12:19Then when he's running from Orwell Taylor and the jury who are trying to capture him,
12:24you see the symbiote bond with a fish here, so you get symbiote fish.
12:28There were a couple other symbiote animals that we saw promos for, like this is a symbiote frog.
12:32Somebody call Frog Thor to come deal with this.
12:36Maybe someday Marvel will do an animated crossover for some of these crazier animal-themed characters,
12:41like Alligator Loki, Frog Thor, the Venom Fish, the Frog Venom.
12:45There's a longer scene with Reece Ippon's character,
12:48and this young character that might be a version of Peter Parker,
12:51we actually hear him speak in the trailer now too.
12:53Reece Ippon's character says sometimes you have to make a sacrifice,
12:57like it sounds like he gives him some sort of wisdom in the movie that helps him deal with the Null problem.
13:02I think the idea is that Eddie is going to try and sacrifice himself,
13:05like he'll go with them, they'll try to deal with Null.
13:08But he's so powerful, I hope they find some way for the Null character to survive into a future bigger movie.
13:14Save him for like a really big Spider-Man crossover down the road.
13:18Hopefully Sony has like much bigger plans for this.
13:20In the trailer, when they literally call it the epic conclusion,
13:23that's just the Venom solo movie trilogy.
13:26That doesn't mean it's the end of the Venom character.
13:28The other interesting thing here too is that Reece Ippon's does not sound like he's using the same accent
13:33that his lizard character used in the Amazing Spider-Man movies or during Spider-Man No Way Home,
13:38which is probably why he'll wind up being a completely separate character
13:41or like a variant of Dr. Connors that's completely different than the Amazing Spider-Man version of Dr. Connors.
13:48Then there's just in the trailer on that funny moment of Venom inside the casino
13:51trying to win money and smashing Eddie's foot, like I think you broke my foot.
13:55Sometimes the jokes in the Venom movies can be hit or miss,
13:58but I'm just really interested to see what's happening with this Null character.
14:02Like it almost raises more questions than it answers.
14:05Everybody post all your reactions in the comments below and what you want them to do with Null after this movie,
14:11assuming that he does survive the movie.
14:13Three cheers for Venom, the king in black.
14:16There's a bunch of big stuff coming up. The movie's coming out next month, so we will get more clips.
14:20Hopefully they will offer some more details about what's actually going on with the characters.
