00:00This has been our home for millennia.
00:09For almost that entire time, we've lived with and alongside Buffalo, who we call Eni.
00:18But more than a century ago, both of us were the targets of genocide, and Eni were killed
00:27off from more than 30 million down to less than 1,000.
00:33In the span of one generation, they disappeared from our lives.
00:41Without them, our world collapsed.
00:45But there were some of us who refused to give up, who held tight to the hope that with the
00:51return of Eni would come the healing from this trauma for the people.
00:57This is a story of survival, of resilience, hope, adventure, and determination.
01:10This is our story, the story of the Nitsitapi, Siksiketsitapi, the Blackfoot people, who
01:19against enormous odds gave their lives and hearts to return Eni, to bring them home.
