00:00More than 10,000 tons of ash fell on Vulcan Canlaon in the past 24 hours.

00:06According to PIVOX, the volcano is covered by thick clouds so the smoke is not visible.

00:1217 volcanic earthquakes were also recorded yesterday.

00:16Residents are advised to be alert for sudden explosions of steam or phreatic explosions of the volcano.

00:23As of now, Vulcan Canlaon is still at Alert Level 2.

00:26Entry to the 4-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone and flying an airplane near the volcano is prohibited.

00:36Because of the ongoing activity of Vulcan Canlaon and the bad weather,

00:40residents living near the volcano have been evacuated.

00:52Despite the bad weather, several barangays in La Casillana, Negros Occidental,

00:58have started evacuating their residents.

01:19Just like in Barangay Biak na Bato,

01:21evacuations are being carried out to the residents living near the volcano.

01:27It is better to carry out the evacuation earlier

01:30for the safety of the residents due to the possible eruption of Mount Canlaon.

01:36The barangay is preparing to evacuate at least 30 families

01:40to be brought to the evacuation center in the town.

01:43La Casillana LGU is also advising the residents,

01:47particularly senior citizens and volunteers, to evacuate first.

01:51Food and non-food items are prepared for those who will be evacuated.

01:55Until now, classes are still suspended in all areas of the town.
