00:00The residents of West Riverside, Barangay San Antonio, visited Quezon City this morning.
00:23The fire was immediately put out by the second alarm.
00:26According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire spread quickly because most of the houses were made of light materials.
00:3350 houses were put out by the fire and around 200 families lost their homes.
00:39The BFP is investigating the cause of the fire as part of the arson.
00:47Qualified Human Trafficking will be added to the cases faced by Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo.
00:54She will be sued by DOJ, as well as several of her business partners and other personalities.
01:00The aforementioned case is now available.
01:02Watch Salima Refran.
01:08Zuniwan Technology was raided in Bawfu Compound in Bambantarlak in March
01:12due to allegations of humanitarian torture, kidnapping, illegal detention, forced labor, and scamming.
01:19She became the subject of a few months of Senate investigation
01:22and questions about the location and connection of Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
01:30Six months after the raid, the allegations of human trafficking against the former mayor were brought to court.
01:37Alice Guo, or Guo Huaping, of Qualified Human Trafficking, is now being sued by the Department of Justice.
01:44It is clear here that there is prima facie evidence of reasonable certainty of conviction
01:49against Mayor Alice Guo and other respondents.
01:52As long as you show that you are involved in the establishment,
01:56in the organization of a business or a company that is involved in human trafficking,
02:02you can be sued by human trafficking.
02:04Guo admitted to the Senate hearings before the incorporation of Bawfu, where Zuniwan is located.
02:11In 2019, Guo bought the land where the compound is now located.
02:16But Guo sold shares in Bawfu before he became mayor in 2022.
02:22I am not a protector or a cattler of Bawfu.
02:26In her counter-argument, Guo stated that it was wrong and misleading
02:30to say that she knew about illegal Bawfu activities because she was a stockholder of Bawfu.
02:36But that counter-argument was the so-called question asked to the notary on August 14,
02:42when Guo was not in the Philippines.
02:45That is why the panel of prosecutors did not notice the so-called counter-argument.
02:49We cannot deny that there were many delaying tactics used by the lawyers of Mayor Alice Guo.
02:54The most dangerous one was the last thing they did.
02:56When the case was submitted for resolution,
02:58they filed a motion to reopen the case with a motion to admit counter-affidavit.
03:02We all know that this is a fake counter-affidavit.
03:04Guo's foreign business partners in Bawfu Land Development are also being prosecuted.
03:09The Chinese fugitive Wang Ji Yang,
03:11and Jiang Rui Jin and Lin Bao Ying who were involved in money laundering in Singapore.
03:16These are people who are notorious for scamming and money laundering.
03:20Now again, the crimes that are alleged to have been committed by Alice Guo
03:26would not have happened if these people did not enable her through their finances.
03:33Former Technology and Livelihood Resource Center Official Dennis Cunanan
03:37and several other respondents from Bawfu Land, Hongsheng Gaming, and Zunyuan Technology will also face charges.
03:44Next week, non-bailable cases will be filed in Tarlac RTC.
03:49The DOJ asked the Supreme Court to transfer the cases to Metro Manila.
03:54Cunanan's lawyer said that they did not expect the DOJ's decision
03:58because there is no evidence that Cunanan is involved.
04:02We are trying to get a statement from the field of other cases,
04:06but there is no response yet.
04:09You have the right to remain silent.
04:11This is separate from Guo's case,
04:13which was filed under the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act
04:16based on the arrest warrant that he was faced with when he came from Indonesia
04:20and a commitment order, which is why he is now detained at the PNP Custodial Center.
04:25Now, Guo should be given an arraignment or trial in the Tarlac RTC Branch 109.
04:32But they were denied because of the order of President Judge Sara Vedania de los Santos
04:37to transfer the case from them to Valenzuela RTC.
04:41This was followed by Republic Act 10-660 and Office of the Court Administrator Circular No. 10-2024,
04:49which states that a government official's case should not be filed in the judicial region where he works.
04:56According to the Justice Department, the nearest judicial region in Capas is Valenzuela.
05:02On Wednesday, the case will be raffled in Valenzuela RTC.
05:05Guo's lawyer has yet to provide a statement on the so-called text.
05:10Aside from qualified human trafficking and case of graft,
05:13Guo is also facing cancellation of his birth certificate in Tarlac RTC
05:18if this happens in the Manila RTC and deportation case in the Bureau of Immigration.
05:23There are also allegations of money laundering and tax evasion here in the Department of Justice.
05:29In the PNP Custodial Center, Guo is still detained because there is no order to transfer him to jail.
05:35Sen. Rizo Ontiveros also wrote Valenzuela RTC to allow Guo to attend the next Senate hearing on Tuesday.
05:44Guo's body double, Alya Scott, who arrived at the NBI earlier, is also expected to appear in the Senate.
05:51Alya Scott is afraid for her safety.
05:55There was a motorcycle accident. It stopped in front of our house.
05:59When I got out, I was already taking pictures.
06:01But he was wearing a helmet.
06:02We have two more vans.
06:04All of them are men.
06:06One of them hit the terminal.
06:08The other one hit a nearby store.
06:11GMA Integrated News asked Alya Scott about the CCTV video
06:15where it is claimed that she was seen in a Sambales to court those who were chasing the mayor.
06:22Alya Scott did not answer the questions.
06:24For GMA Integrated News, I am Sanima Raffa of Inyong Saksi.
06:31A child was rescued who was being sold online by his own father.
06:35The motive of the suspect is to steal.
06:38Saksi, this is John Consulta.
06:40John Consulta
06:47This man used a human shield on his son during the NBI Special Task Force operation.
06:57But in the end, the 28-year-old was arrested by the suspect.
07:00The allegation against him is that, according to the NBI,
07:03the suspect was following his own 11-month-old son on social media.
07:08We did a verification.
07:10We talked to his report.
07:15We confirmed that he was selling a child for P55,000.
07:21The child was the one who was selling the Sambal.
07:27The motive is to steal from his accomplice who refused to take revenge on him.
07:33The suspect is facing multiple complaints.
07:35We are still trying to get his statement.
07:37We accused him of child trafficking and resistance and disobedience to prisons and authorities.
07:45The Sambal was rescued by the DSWD.
07:48For GMA Integrated News, I am John Consulta of Inyong Saksi.
