00:00And another Cypress truck.
00:07How do you think it looks?
00:11Nine mil hollow points and then nine mil FMJ.
00:13We're going to see which one cracks it first.
00:34What is going on, you guys?
00:47Welcome back to the channel.
00:48Today we are in the Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series.
00:51Another vehicle for my friends over at Monza Exotics.
00:53I'll link them in the description of this video.
00:56If you're in Southern California looking to rent any luxury or exotic car, go hit them
00:59up.
01:00They'll take care of you.
01:01They've got a beautiful fleet of exotics.
01:02There's a lot of cool things adding to, including this Cybertruck that you can rent today.
01:06Now jumping right into the video, the Cybertrucks powered by Tesla's dual motor system producing
01:10600 horsepower and putting that power to all four wheels will get you from zero to 60 in
01:14about 3.9 seconds with a range of 340 miles, a curb weight of 6,900 pounds and 11,000 pound
01:21towing capacity and a starting price right over $82,000.
01:25This being the Foundation Series, it was the initial Cybertruck offered by Tesla.
01:29You can now opt for the upgraded Cyberbeast model, which will get you the tri-motor system
01:32putting out 845 horsepower and a zero to 60 time of 2.6 seconds for the starting price
01:37of $102,000.
01:39Now with that said, the $82,000 MSRP of the Foundation Series and the $102,000 MSRP of
01:45the Cyberbeast were the numbers associated with the purchase price at the time of launch
01:48a few months ago.
01:49Now, if you take a look on Tesla's website, you'll see the Foundation Series with a starting
01:53price of just a hair under $100,000 and the Cyberbeast at right under $120,000, which
01:58is a big jump from a few months back.
02:01And to add on to that, it's rumored that we'll see a cheaper single-motor rear-wheel
02:04drive version of the Cybertruck sometime next year for around $62,000, but I won't be surprised
02:09if that number follows suit and increases just as the others have.
02:12Now back to the Foundation Series, which we are in today.
02:14Again, you're looking at the dual-motor all-wheel drive system with an output of 600 horsepower
02:19and as stated by Tesla, 7,435 pound-feet of torque.
02:23Yes, you heard that right, 7,435 pound-feet of torque, although the caveat is that the
02:29insane number is because of gearing it uses to transfer torque to the wheels, also known
02:33as reduction gearing.
02:34In simple terms, that means that big gears mesh with the smaller gear that has less teeth
02:38and that has a multiplying effect on the torque.
02:41Now this is definitely very gimmicky of Tesla to present it in this fashion, because if
02:44you were to calculate the torque of the Cybertruck the way any other manufacturer would, the Foundation
02:48Series has around 525 pound-feet of torque when listed like everyone else does.
02:53For comparison, it's a bit like saying the horsepower number at the crank versus at the
02:56wheels.
02:57Moving on to the design of the Cybertruck, as you can see here, this one is wrapped in
03:00a gloss black, although many of you probably know that underneath it, the only factory
03:06finish available on these is stainless steel, so the whole body is actually stainless steel
03:10on this.
03:11And another cool thing to note is that they're actually bulletproof panels.
03:15While it's not rated by the NIJ and it's not an armored vehicle, they can stop up to 9mm
03:20rounds and these are extremely tough, so you do not have to worry about denting it, getting
03:24any dings in it in a parking lot, which is pretty cool.
03:27The only other thing to note is that while these are shatter-resistant, very, very strong
03:31pieces of glass, they are not bulletproof, so while you could stop up to a 9mm round
03:35on the doors, not so much with the window.
03:38So it's not an armored car, I wouldn't want to test that with my life, but just another
03:43neat thing to note about those stainless steel panels that are very, very durable.
03:48And it seems we're seeing more and more Cybertruck owners actually wrap their vehicles.
03:52A number of reasons.
03:53One, to kind of just maintain the nice finish of the stainless steel, because as you can
03:56imagine, like any appliance or stainless steel refrigerator, they do mark up pretty easily
04:01with fingerprints, scratches, and all that.
04:03So putting a wrap on it gives it a little extra layer of protection and prolongs the
04:07life of it.
04:08Now the side profile of this thing is just crazy.
04:10It's like a monolithic triangle or pyramid.
04:13There's literally no curves on this truck anywhere other than the wheels.
04:17I mean, even down to the arches here.
04:20Everything is very rigid.
04:21You've got the mirrors, which kind of mimic the triangular design of the truck on the
04:25side there.
04:26There's really not a single rounded curve area on this truck.
04:31And some spots are actually so sharp that you could really cut yourself if you tried
04:36or you snipped the edge there.
04:38Yeah, so that's one thing to watch out for with a lot of these pointy edges on this truck.
04:42Definitely wouldn't want to get hit by this thing, even slow moving as you can see here.
04:46It'd probably pop through you without too much effort.
04:50And taking a closer look at those rigid arches here, we'll see on either side of the front
04:55arches, you've got that built-in blind spot monitoring camera, which will display on the
04:59infotainment when you're changing lanes, just to give you a little extra visual on cars
05:04next to you that you might not catch in the mirror.
05:06And then on the back here, we've got the charge port, pop open, and reveals kind of cool little
05:12Cybertruck side profile logo in there, and that's your charge port location on the back.
05:18Taking a closer look at those 20-inch wheels, if you saw the pre-production vehicle, you
05:22may be wondering why the covers are missing from all the Cybertrucks on the road, and
05:25that's due to the fact that they were recalled because they were impacting the sidewall of
05:28the tires.
05:29So Tesla will be shipping them out to the owners at a later date once that's worked
05:32out on the engineering side.
05:34Another cool thing to note about the Cybertruck is the adjustable air suspension that can
05:38be raised or lowered on the fly up to 25 miles an hour and provides up to 17 inches of ground
05:43clearance, which is pretty impressive, along with 35-degree approach and 28-degree departure
05:47angles, making it pretty capable off-road.
05:50Another thing that you probably picked up on is the lack of badging on the Cybertrucks.
05:54You don't have any Tesla logos, anything like that, other than on the foundation series
05:57here.
05:58Obviously, we can't see it because this one's wrapped.
06:00You've got a very, very subtle badging on the back that says Foundation Series right
06:05there, along with on the sides of the front by the wheel arches.
06:10Very minimal, subtle, but other than that, there's no kind of logos, Tesla badging, anything
06:14like that on the truck.
06:16Something else to make note of, the size of the Cybertruck.
06:18It looks really big, although it's not crazy given the size of modern pickups.
06:23It is smaller than an F-150.
06:24This is 19 feet long, so it is a large vehicle, but in terms of pickup trucks, which this
06:29is, it's not that bad.
06:31Coming to the front of the vehicle, we see that absolutely massive front windscreen,
06:36which goes up the entire front angle of the car to the back there, along with that huge
06:41mono wiper.
06:43Side mounted for a few reasons.
06:44One, it increases range.
06:45Two, it really keeps up the aesthetic without breaking up the sleek design of the truck,
06:49as well as stays out of the driver's line of sight.
06:53All around, pretty good use of the space and location for that massive wiper, which is,
06:59I don't think I've ever seen a wiper this size on a car, maybe a semi-truck or something,
07:03but you do have to consider how big it needs to be for this massive front windshield.
07:08We've also got that huge front light bar, which runs the entire length of the front
07:12of the vehicle.
07:13Below it, your real headlights here, beneath, right above the bumper and those tow hooks
07:19right there.
07:21That top one serves more as the daytime running lights and keeps up the cool aesthetic of
07:25the truck, but your real headlights that are going to help you see at night are the ones
07:30tucked beneath here very discreetly, which I think is cool.
07:35You hardly even notice them.
07:38Now we've got that front trunk here.
07:40Not too much space.
07:42It's actually a little bit of an awkward angle, but you can fit a suitcase up there, some
07:46groceries, anything like that.
07:48The one thing to note, you may have seen in a few other videos, is that, and I don't know
07:52if the update's been done yet, but as far as I'm concerned, this does not have a sensor,
07:58so this will close on your fingers, and as you can see, very sharp angle.
08:03Not something you want to get your hands caught in.
08:04And the closing mechanism here, tap that or you can do it from the inside of the car and
08:09see what happens here.
08:11Just kidding.
08:12Not actually doing that, but yeah, as far as I'm concerned, it will close on your fingers
08:16and does not have the sensor, but that will be available in an over-the-air update because
08:21I'm assuming Tesla's had a few incidents where people have, I don't know if they've cut their
08:26fingers off, but definitely gotten them trapped in there, which does not look fun.
08:29Moving ahead and moving to the back of the truck here, we will open up this six-by-four-foot
08:35bed with 121 cubic feet of space and a capacity of up to 2,500 pounds, which we carry in the
08:42back here, along with that two-noil cover that we just opened up there, which, when
08:45it's closed, actually adds 10% range to the vehicle.
08:50Pretty cool feature.
08:52Most people drive with it closed just for that increased range, but one thing to note
08:54is that when it is shut, you can't see out that rear window, so you just have to rely
08:58on the rear cam here, which is displayed on the infotainment when you're driving, since
09:05the actual rear-view mirror is not going to do anything since that's closed, but if you
09:09want, you can drive with it open if you don't mind that reduction of the 10% range.
09:14And opening that tailgate here with that button, which you could also do from the inside of
09:17the car, nice amount of room in the back there, and then obviously even more extended if you
09:24have longer items to keep in the back, and it is pretty low, it's reasonable, easily
09:28hop up on that, step right up into it, pretty capable bed, and then in the side here, we've
09:35also got this panel with lots of different outlets, which is neat, as well as your cargo
09:41tie-down area here on the sides, and then another cool feature, kind of hard to tell
09:45right now, but this line that runs along there is all lighting for the bed, which is a neat
09:52addition.
09:53And then going ahead and hopping down from the bed here, another cool thing, one of my
09:56favorite things actually in the back of this truck, is this additional space you have.
10:00Pop that, which you can also open when the tonneau clovers close there, just extra space,
10:05and the cool thing to note is that there's actually a drainage plug in here, so if you
10:09want to toss in some ice, something like that, put drinks or some food in there, you can
10:15keep it cool and have it underneath the other cargo in the truck.
10:19Now your only real downside to this bed is due to the crazy angles on this truck.
10:25Unlike a traditional truck bed, you're not going to be able to really just reach in as
10:29you would, as you can see, the space is not there to do so, so for any items you need
10:34further back there, you're going to have to jump up in it.
10:37And the funny thing is that there is no electronic close for the tailgate.
10:40It is super light, and it does have soft close, but you've got to manually shut it there,
10:43as you can see there, let it soft close, just like that, and then to shut the tonneau cover,
10:48you just hit the button here, or you can do it on the inside on the infotainment panel,
10:54and that will close that up.
10:56Now concealed beneath this here, you've also got the tow hitch, and remember that 11,000
11:05pound towing capacity, although given Whistling Diesel's latest durability test video, I don't
11:11know how much confidence I would put in that, given that the hitch snapped the whole frame
11:16off, so I think that's a big recall that these trucks will be going back for again.
11:20I know they initially had the issue with the accelerator pedal getting stuck, which that's
11:25been fixed now, but given that this is a new truck, and Teslas don't have the best build
11:30quality, I would say that they're probably going to have to be recalled, because I think
11:36that's even more serious than the accelerator pedal getting stuck due to the whole frame's
11:42integrity being compromised like that so easily, so that's one thing to watch out for
11:47if you plan on towing anything with this truck, which I don't think many people will be.
11:52And that just about covers the exterior of the Cybertruck, now to head inside.
11:55As you can see here, the key, you could say, I got on my phone here, which I'm not a big
12:00fan of, unlocks it there, and then the door handles, you just tap that button, pops the
12:06door, open that up, and you've got the inside.
12:09You don't have to use the app to access it as any other Tesla, I don't have the key card
12:15with me right now, which I think is kind of corny that they stuck with that, it's literally
12:20like a credit card is the key for this, kind of a missed opportunity, especially when you're
12:24spending between 80 and 120 grand on one of these, kind of cheesy that you don't have
12:30a cool key, I mean, they could have made some kind of sweet stainless steel triangle key
12:35that mimics the design of the truck, similar to the Koenigsegg keys, which are really cool.
12:40I don't know, just something that I think they miss the opportunity on when making a
12:44unique vehicle like this.
12:46Stepping into the driver's seat, on the door sill here, we have this really cool Cybertruck
12:50logo in that weld font that looks awesome there.
12:55In behind the wheel, first thing you'll notice is just how minimalistic this truck is, much
13:00like all the other Teslas, although this, they kind of take it up a notch.
13:03And shutting that door, nothing on the left over here apart from your window controls,
13:09which are kind of in an awkward spot, they're pretty far back, but it still works, and then
13:13you have your door release button to open the door, along with this, which is your emergency
13:20manual release for whatever reason, if there's no power to the car or that button breaks,
13:24you can pull that up and release the door in a traditional manner.
13:29And to the left of the seat, like most other vehicles, you've got your seat controls there.
13:33Onto the steering wheel, very cool wheel, reminiscent of the yoke that was in the Model
13:39S Plaid, a little bit more practical though, as it does have that top portion there.
13:45And yeah, just very neat, sleek steering wheel, also mimics the rigid design of the rest of
13:51the truck.
13:52And as you can see there, we've got the Cybertruck logo in the center of the steering wheel,
13:55which is a nice little touch as well.
13:57And while we're on this very angular steering wheel, something important to note, very cool
14:01thing about this truck is the steer-by-wire system with variable steering ratio and four-wheel
14:06steering, which is pretty neat how it works by making low-speed turning more responsive
14:09while softening the ratio at highway speeds, and as a result of the drive-by-wire system,
14:14there's no hand-over-hand turning at all in tighter low-speed environments like you would
14:17traditionally encounter, and we'll demonstrate that, just how minimal the input is right
14:21now.
14:22Super tight, you can really see the rear wheels turning, and half a turn is full lock in this
14:26car, which is pretty wild.
14:28See low-speed here, how tight that turn is, and your full lock is half a turn there, which
14:35is pretty cool.
14:37This 19-foot truck, not a big space here to be able to pull these circular turns in here.
14:46Great turning radius given the size of it, and the fact that this drive-by-wire system
14:51allows you to do so with turning the wheel 90 degrees.
14:56Something else to make note of on the steering wheel here is that there is no stocks on the
15:00column whatsoever.
15:01All your controls are on the wheel itself for your turn signals and your wipers, cruise
15:07control, everything like that.
15:09And moving on, the angles of this truck, you know, everything from the aggressive panels
15:14to even the cup holders here, you can see you follow that real angular, rigid design
15:19of the truck.
15:20Kind of reminds me, it's reminiscent of the way the Huracan has that hexagonal theme,
15:26where everything in that car is a hexagon.
15:28Kind of similar to that.
15:29If you haven't seen that in the last video, I'll link that here to go check out, but very
15:33similar design elements that have those little nods.
15:36And another thing you might have noticed on the dash up here, there is no vents at all.
15:40They're hidden behind here.
15:42They work very well.
15:43AC is great in this car, but nice sleek design, so no visible AC climate vents there.
15:50And if we go to the right side passenger here, you can see that little foundation series
15:55badging there.
15:56I'm not sure if the camera's really picking it up, but yeah, just that real subtle, subtle
16:00nods.
16:01Now, above us here, we've got these sun visors.
16:03I honestly like driving with them deployed out like this, unless the sun's in your face
16:08because it really opens up that windscreen and they're not in the way on the sides here.
16:12So it's got that, feels like you're in a helicopter or an aircraft with that ridiculous front
16:17windshield size and not having those in the way.
16:20Although if the sun is in your face, very nice to have those there.
16:24And then to the right, we've got our rear view mirror, which is only functional when
16:27you have the tonneau cover open, as we could do right here actually.
16:31But once you open that up, you can see through the back, otherwise you're relying on the
16:35rear view cam that is on your infotainment.
16:38And then above that, we've got the emergency drive gear selection here, which I don't know,
16:44the camera's not really picking it up, but that will illuminate if for whatever reason
16:47the infotainment fails and you're not able to select your gears from there, you could
16:52do so up here on this column.
16:54Above it, we've got this little light here that you can tap to activate on or off.
16:58And then the only real standalone button in this car is your hazards.
17:02That's regulatory for that to be its own separate button.
17:05So they decided to put it up there instead of anywhere down here, definitely more streamlined
17:09and not as noticeable.
17:10Now onto the control center of the car, we've got this 18.5 inch infotainment touchscreen,
17:15which controls literally every single function from your drive mode selection, gear selection,
17:22climate control, glove box, front trunk, rear tonneau, mirror controls, everything as you
17:26can imagine.
17:27Since there's no buttons, it's all done through the infotainment here.
17:31As long as this long list, which I think's honestly a little bit of a cluttered design,
17:34but I guess it's all you have to work with and there's no other buttons in the car.
17:38All your controls here, mode selection, all that.
17:43Another cool little feature is the Easter egg they have in here where you can tap the
17:48side here and it'll crack the glass as it did in the reveal of the Cybertruck a few
17:54years back.
17:55And for your glove box access, in order to open that up, you're going to tap that, open
17:59it, and it's more of a little drawer than a traditional glove box, but it is cool.
18:03There's a little bit of room in there, you can fit some stuff.
18:05Not too much, and then you can either slide that back shut or use the button to close
18:10it again.
18:11And then in the middle of the center console here, there's a pretty nice spacious compartment.
18:19And there are still some things that are not available that will be in the future with
18:22over-the-air updates, which is kind of unfortunate if you bought one of these and paid all that
18:25money.
18:26Certain things you want to have access to, it looks like there's still no full autopilot.
18:31Pretty good timing though, it looks like they just released the feature for the locking
18:34differentials, which that wasn't available for the longest time, that was another over-the-air
18:39update.
18:40And they're slowly rolling out more and more things in terms of that autopilot, self-drive,
18:44the differential locks, and then there will also be some additional air suspension adjustments
18:50that'll become available in the future with their over-the-air updates.
18:54And then for your controls, here we also have the ride height adjustment, which it's on
18:58low right now.
18:59Go ahead and raise that to high, which it does very quickly actually.
19:04Can't see too much from the inside, but we'll insert some exterior clips here for a better
19:07view of it.
19:08Yeah, but there's that very quick on-the-fly adjustment for your ride heights between low
19:12and high, which can be done up to 25 miles an hour, which is very nice too for the different
19:17modes, off-road drive modes for the car.
19:19And once you put the vehicle into the off-road drive mode, there's actually additional height
19:23options where you can go from high to very high, which is that 17 inches of clearance.
19:28And then there's also the extract mode if you were to get stuck in some sand or hairy
19:32terrain.
19:33Another thing to note is that all your mirror controls as well as steering wheel are done
19:37from the infotainment where you can unfold the mirrors and then adjust both the side
19:41mirrors and the wheel from the infotainment here, and you'll do so with the wheel if you
19:45need to change the settings for the mirrors or the distance of the steering wheel.
19:49And lastly, all the entertainment options from music to different apps and stuff.
19:54You can even pull up a browser here, which is pretty neat.
19:57So whatever you want to pull up on there.
20:00And now that pretty much covers the front of the car, so we'll go ahead, hop out, check
20:02out the back.
20:03And as you can see, this front window here has this wild cut to it, really matches the
20:10whole design of the truck.
20:11And then opening the back here, something pretty sweet to note is that this rear door
20:16pivots to 90 degrees, so very, very easy entering and exit into the backseat there, in which
20:22you have a good amount of room for the sloped roof, which in other cars you'd think you'd
20:28have to sacrifice a decent amount of headroom, but this is pretty comfortable.
20:32I mean, your head is close to it, the top of the bill of my hat is touching right now,
20:36but for the aggressive design of this, there's a very, very fair amount of headroom.
20:41And in the back here, we also have that 9.4 inch display, which is cool for all your climate
20:47and entertainment controls from Netflix to YouTube.
20:51Very easy to use.
20:53The software is pretty nice, there's a little tiny bit of a lag, but I mean, that's expected
20:56for the most part.
20:57Pretty nice touch in the back.
20:58It would be kind of cool if this were removable, but here's what it is.
21:02And due to how minimalistic this truck is, there's not much to cover in the backseat,
21:05so that is just about it.
21:07One more thing, though, hopping out here, nice touch just for some extra cargo space
21:14and room.
21:15These seats do fully lift up there, so there's plenty of space to throw some extra stuff
21:20in the back.
21:21And I really think there's an impressive amount of room in this truck between the front, the
21:25bed, and the back here.
21:27There's not much that you couldn't fit in this and really utilize all the space and
21:31make it a practical pickup truck.
21:33I mean, this truck just looks like some kind of Promethean artifact left by an alien race.
21:41Love it, hate it.
21:42As ugly as it is, it is pretty cool and it is hard to ignore.
21:45One more thing to note is the drive selection in the Cybertruck.
21:48It's actually this little slider here, which to go forward, you slide it forward, reverse,
21:53slide it back, and then you hold that P there to put the car in park.
21:56Alright, now that we've gone over the Cybertruck, both inside and out, let's do the fun part.
21:59Let's go for a drive.
22:08And this thing is quite the head-turner.
22:09People just stare at this truck.
22:11As you can see on here, that side blind spot monitoring camera comes into play when you
22:27use the signals there.
22:28And then also, we've got the rear view on the screen because with the tonneau cover
22:32closed, you can't see out the back at all.
22:41And this thing really does not feel like a three-and-a-half-ton vehicle.
23:02So smooth, so quick, as expected with any electric car.
23:07And again, that drive-by-wire system is pretty cool because it dampens it like crazy at higher
23:13speeds, so it's not nearly as sensitive versus low-speed maneuvering, as you saw back there
23:20when we were doing the little 360 turns in that small cul-de-sac versus when you're on
23:25a highway, not nearly as responsive, which is very nice.
23:31And it takes a little bit getting used to, but it's not a big learning curve.
23:36After 10 minutes, you're pretty acquainted with how the car drives.
23:43And we got, let's see, 46% charge, so 146 miles.
23:56Also makes much more sense having this kind of yoke-style steering wheel with the drive-by-wire
24:01system given that...
24:02Oh, and another Cyprus truck.
24:04Already seeing more and more of them.
24:07As I was saying, makes more sense with this yoke-style wheel because unlike the Model
24:14S, for example, that didn't have the drive-by-wire, you'd be hand-over-hand turning with a yoke,
24:19which is a pain.
24:20But with this, your full lock is 90 degrees, so you do not have to worry about that.
24:26You literally...
24:27There's no time where you ever have to take your hands off the wheel in this truck, which
24:30is pretty neat.
24:34Yeah, this thing gets lots of attention.
24:39People either love it or they hate it.
24:42Something else that's super nice about this truck is that there's very little pitch or
24:46roll unlike most pickups.
24:48When you go into a corner, a lot of body roll as well as when you step on it and take off.
24:52Although this, very tight, very stiff, so you don't have any of that as you would normally
24:57get with a traditional truck.
24:59And I don't really...
25:01I'm not in trucks very often, mostly supercars and luxury cars.
25:07But I will say a couple of my favorites, definitely.
25:10Favorite being the Raptor R and obviously the Raptor platform and TRX.
25:15Two favorite trucks.
25:16It's really hard to compare this to them because this doesn't really feel like a truck, but
25:21it does still have those truck characteristics and qualities and it can do truck things,
25:26which is pretty cool.
25:28And then another very neat truck that I just reviewed was the Velocity F100.
25:35Their restoration of a 1974 F100.
25:38And that thing was just incredible.
25:40But again, you can't really compare a EV futuristic cyber truck to a Restomod 1970s Ford.
25:49They're both very cool in their own unique ways.
25:52Not sure how well it's picking up on camera, but crazy fire over in Tribuco Canyon, kind
25:57of like Santiago too.
25:58Unfortunately, I wanted to shoot the 4x4 squared up there today, but that's definitely not
26:04happening.
26:05Anytime soon, probably.
26:11The ride quality of this thing is pretty awesome.
26:16It's smooth, but it's not too smooth.
26:18It's not on the level of a luxury car where you still kind of feel like it's a truck,
26:22but it rides like a very nice truck.
26:26Not much wind noise at all, which is kind of surprising for the drastic aggressive shape
26:31of the car.
26:32You get a little bit of wind noise, but mainly tire noise and that's about it.
26:38And we'll go ahead and open up that Tanu there so you can get a little example on the road.
26:45It's open now.
26:46Now, it would be very cool if that rear window divider went down, kind of like a 4Runner
26:52or in my last video, the way the Huracan's window goes down on the Spyder, that'd be
26:57kind of cool, get more of an open air experience in the cabin.
27:07And then the only thing you're really sacrificing with having that open is the 10% range increase
27:13you would normally have, but not the end of the world.
27:23And yet another Cybertruck that's two and about 10 minutes, maybe less.
27:34Catch up to him.
27:40And we're going to start seeing tons of these on the road.
27:46There's still kind of a novelty because of how new they are, but these will be mass produced
27:51and that kind of hype around them is going to wear off as well as the insane resale prices
27:56we're seeing now.
27:57Kind of have to be a little bit of a sucker to buy one of them right now when you're paying.
28:00I mean, even for the foundation, I've seen them going for up to 150, which is insane.
28:06So I feel like you'll be able to buy this exact truck in three years for 50 grand.
28:12And at that price, I think it's worth it.
28:14It's a cool truck.
28:15I'm not into EVs at all.
28:16I don't like EVs.
28:17I don't like Tesla, but it is a cool truck.
28:20It looks like nothing else on the road.
28:22It's a polarizing design.
28:25And with that said, I think at that price point, it's worth it.
28:28What they're going for now, insane.
28:31Would never want to pay anything near that, although it is cool.
28:34But people seem to forget that these are going to be mass produced.
28:38There's millions on order.
28:39So right now you're kind of at the forefront of it.
28:42Not too many of them on the road, but that's going to change here in the next year, two
28:45years.
28:46We're going to start seeing them everywhere and I'm already seeing tons of them in Orange
28:49County.
28:50I mean, that's two in less than 10 minutes, but yeah, these are going to be on the road
28:55everywhere.
28:56And that cool factor is definitely going to wear off.
28:59But right now they're pretty striking.
29:00I mean, I can't think of another production vehicle that looks anything like this and
29:05you kind of got to give it to Elon for building something like that as much as you could hate
29:10on it.
29:11I mean, I think the truck's hideous, but it's cool.
29:14I mean, there's nothing else like it.
29:18Only real visibility gripe I have is that that huge A-pillar is blocked a little bit.
29:23You do have that window to the side, but that kind of frontal portion is still blocked.
29:27You can see around it, but it's just kind of an awkward sight.
29:30All righty, let's do a little coffee run here now.
29:36Hopefully we'll get some parking up front.
29:57Mm-hmm.
30:25Now at 19 inches, parallel parking, this is not the easiest task, but still get the
30:32job done.
30:33As you can see, that was pretty tight, but still doable.
30:46Oh, that's so cool, even the camera, oh my gosh, the camera's so cool, wow, that is so
31:15cool.
31:16It's a little map situation.
31:18OMG.
31:19I'm actually pretty impressed with the handling of this.
31:20It drives much better than I thought it would given the size and weight of it, and the fact
31:25that it's a Tesla, because if I'm being honest, all the past Teslas I've been behind the wheel
31:29of just drove like trash, but this actually feels decent behind the wheel.
31:35So don't mind that rear view mirror on here, it's nice because it's kind of at eye level
31:41for a quick, easy glance.
31:59As much as I doggone Teslas and EVs, this is still pretty cool.
32:04Still never buy one, but it's a cool car, you got to appreciate it for what it is.
32:08I believe the numbers are on the superchargers, you'll regain 130 miles of range I believe
32:19in 15 minutes, I want to say.
32:25All right, so now we're going to go ahead and test those stainless steel door panels.
32:28We got here 9mm hollow points and then 9mm FMJ, going to see which one cracks it first.
32:35Just kidding, not actually going to do that, but it is rated up to 9mm according to Tesla.
32:40That's not verified or anything, but I have seen people shoot this car and the bullets
32:45do not penetrate the door panels, which is pretty neat.
32:48Whistle and Diesel even put, I don't know if it was C4 or what, but puts on the panels
32:52in the back, blew it up, dented it like crazy, but it did not compromise the structural integrity
32:58of the door whatsoever.
33:00Blew the panel off inside, but outside was still intact, so yeah, that is pretty neat.
33:06Maybe someday it would be fun to take one of these to the range and empty a few mags
33:10into it, but for now, not actually going to do that since this is not my car, but yeah,
33:15another fun thing to note about this Cybertruck.
33:25Not too bad for a nearly 7,000 pound pickup.
33:31And even this being the just 600 horsepower version, it's still plenty fast for a truck.
33:38I'm sure the Cyberbeast version with 845 horses is an absolute blast, but this certainly gets
33:48the job done, no question.
33:55Again, the only real nuisance is that A-pillar blocks a good portion of your view, but you
34:06still see through a little bit of it.
34:14So many cops out today.
34:21Yeah, I'm overall pretty impressed with the handling and the stiffness of this car.
34:32Feels really good, especially on these all-terrain tires.
34:36Not bad at all, and there's no doubt it's ugly, but it's unique.
34:41You know, it's quick, maneuverable, audacious, for sure the most striking thing on the road
34:48right now.
34:51And at the moment, I know they're only available in North America.
34:53I don't know if it's going to stay that way.
34:55I wouldn't be surprised if it does, but for the time being, you can only get these Cybertrucks
34:59in North America.
35:10This drive-by-wire system is pretty cool once you adapt to it.
35:22Oh, what do we have there?
35:23Old Diablo?
35:24Wow.
35:25That's sick.
35:26See, how could you take an EV over that?
35:30I don't care how quick electric cars are.
35:33That's fantastic.
35:35Just never replaces the soul and the analog driving experience.
35:40Because, I mean, after a certain amount of time, you can only launch it and have so much
35:47fun.
35:48Like, it gets...
35:49Honestly, after a day, it kind of gets old.
35:51It's much better when you have a screaming V12 behind you in a manual gearbox.
35:59Although, like I said before, taking it for what it is, the Cybertruck is cool.
36:05Very innovative.
36:06Very ground-breaking.
36:07And that is 60.
36:17I mean, can't complain for a truck of this size and weight.
36:20It moves.
36:21No other pickup moves like this, even the Raptor R, TRX, just...
36:25Can't compare the two, because it's just not fair with the EV.
36:31And even with that said, I'd still take the Raptor R all day.
36:35Electric cars are a cool addition, but not an alternative.
36:39I wouldn't mind having one in a garage of 10 other cars, but I could never, ever live
36:43with an EV as my sole vehicle.
36:56It's fun, but like, at what point does that get boring?
36:59Alright, we're going to come to a stop here and launch it.
37:12And she moves pretty fast.
37:14You get to that 112 mile an hour top speed pretty quick, so not a crazy top end on this
37:21car or any EV really, but that acceleration speaks for itself.
37:51No slouch at all.
38:16I would love to feel the difference with the Cyberbeast package with that 845 horsepower
38:22output instead of the 600 horsepower in the Foundation series like this one.
38:36Also saw two more Cybertrucks when I wasn't recording.
38:41So that is four in about an hour.
38:46Coming down here, we'll show you just how tight that U-turn capability is.
38:51Watch this.
38:52No hands off the wheel.
38:54Turn it to full lock and boom.
38:58Pretty cool.
39:16And you really see that range drop once you're driving it a little harder, launching it more
39:30often.
39:31In about 10 minutes of driving like that, we've gone probably four or five miles, but
39:37it's shown we've knocked off 20 miles of range.
39:40Well, ladies and gentlemen, that brings us to the end of our Cybertruck POV review and
39:44drive.
39:45Hope you enjoyed the video.
39:46Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe.
39:47And again, I want to give a big shout out to Mom's Exotics.
