00:00Hi there, this is the SH sound as in the words she, short and should.
00:15The SH sound is a sound from the Consonant Pairs group and it is called the Voiceless Palato-Alveolar Sibilant.
00:26This means that you create friction through clenched teeth by directing airflow through a narrow channel formed along the middle of the tongue.
00:36The SH sound is made through the mouth and it is unvoiced which means that you don't use your vocal cords to make the sound.
00:45It is defined by the shape of your tongue and the position of your teeth.
00:51It is a sibilant sound which is a sound made by directing a string of air along the tongue towards the sharp edge of the teeth.
01:00To produce the sound, clench your teeth together lightly, pull your tongue away from them and push air through them.
