00:01I'm wondering, apart from going on holidays and having a nice home or going out for nice
00:07dinners, how do you treat yourself when you want to treat yourself to something?
00:10What's your weakness?
00:11Watches?
00:12Wine?
00:13Cigars?
00:16Yeah, I'm not very materialistic, to be fair.
00:19I love having my family around.
00:22I like nice holidays.
00:24I like to have a good, comfortable house.
00:27But especially what I like is to have people around me that give me love and stability.
00:33That's my treat.
00:34And my family, especially my wife, my kids, my parents, my sister and my friends, what
00:39they give me is that they treat me the best way, whether I'm first, bottom, whether I
00:44have won nine in a row or lost three in a row.
00:47And that's a joy and a privilege.
00:49And that's my treat.
00:51In terms of injuries, you say you've been very unlucky in recent weeks.
00:54But I was looking at the stats from last season and I think you had six players who started
00:5834 games or more, another four who made more than 30 appearances.
01:03Would you accept that perhaps you were lucky with injuries last season and that's why this
01:08year is going to be such a challenge?
01:12Well, I don't know.
01:13I think it was a lot of work done in the right way.
01:17The staff and the way we have evolved a lot of the things internally to give the players
01:21the best possible and to build that robustness in the squad.
01:25It was great.
01:27I think this season we started very unlikely because of some injuries that you cannot control
01:31and it's very difficult to do that.
01:33So we'll have to wait and see at the end of the season how well we've done.
01:36But certainly we'll put everything that we can to be, availability-wise, at least as
01:42good as last year.
01:44With the injury to Martin, I know we don't know what the extent is at the moment, but
01:48for a player like Leandro Trossard, who at times has had to cope with being a substitute
01:55coming on, as you mentioned the other week, how much of an opportunity is this for him
01:59to shine?
02:00And just talking about the qualities that he brings.
02:05Well, I don't think Leo needs any injury to shine.
02:09I think he has earned the right with performances and the way he has conducted himself in any
02:16scenario to have a very important role in the team.
02:20And he is very important and he's a crucial player for us.
02:25This time last year Kai Havertz struggled to adapt to his new surroundings, but now
02:32he's probably one of the first names on the team.
02:35What does that say about him, particularly if Martin isn't available on Sunday?
02:39How important is Kai going to be in filling that void?
02:45Well, that shows the consistency and performances that he's shown over the last year or so.
02:50And that's what we need from our players.
02:52That's why we brought him here, to be one of the main players and be a very prolific
02:57goal scorer, regardless of the position that he plays in.
03:00He's added that and he's added many other things to the team as well that probably are
03:04not noticeable because you are not there, guys.
03:08And you touched on it earlier, but the game between Spurs and City at the back end of
03:12last season, where you said you were sort of jumping around your front room with your
03:17sons when Spurs missed a few chances.
03:19Is it important to remember the kind of disappointment that both you and your players probably felt
03:24after that game when you came into training the next day?
03:27Can that be used as kind of motivation to ensure you get a big performance in this kind of match?
03:33Well, it certainly was an experience at the end.
03:36You have to reflect on did you try, did you do the best that you possibly could?
03:41And if that answer is yes, then somebody else was able to achieve it because they were superior
03:46or better or they had in the key moments what they needed and we didn't.
03:51You have to accept that.
03:52That's it.
03:53And just lastly, you scored two goals from set pieces at Spurs last season and Declan
03:58was called one of your corner takers.
04:00Has that been part of the challenge this week that you're going to have to potentially mix
04:05things up?
04:06And actually, can it make it, you know, make yourselves more unpredictable in a sense?
04:10Yeah, if there is a very specific phase of play that we are so dependent on one player,
04:14then we have a problem and we haven't built our methodology or our way of attacking or
04:21defending any phase of play in that way.
04:24We're going to adapt to other players and the qualities that they have, but it will
04:27still be very efficient and hopefully we can continue to do that.
04:30Okay, finally, we'll go to Gary.
04:32I have one for a colleague who's been to some kind.
04:35He just wants to know what was the key for his development and improvement this year
04:40in the calendar year?
04:41What was the key for him?
04:44Probably his consistency out there, you know, how much he wants it, what he does to achieve
04:51it.
04:52Because a lot of players want it, but they are not ready and they are not consistent
04:56to be willing to do what it takes to go through that.
04:59And he did 100%.
05:02Okay, well, thanks everyone.
05:13Cheers.
