In 2021, a Pentagon report revealed what the US government had denied for decades -- UFOs are real and may even pose a threat to our planet. Now, ex-military members break their silence about the massive cover-up. Are we prepared for an alien invasion?
Transcript
00:00:00A series of mystery sightings in the sky are raising national security concerns now.
00:00:07Navy pilots say they saw something that defies the limits of known aviation technology.
00:00:13For decades, the U.S. government has ignored reports of unidentified flying objects harassing our military.
00:00:21Lying to the public is part of what we do. You pay us to do it.
00:00:25Finally, a groundbreaking Pentagon disclosure makes one thing clear. UFOs are real.
00:00:33The U.S. Navy has finally acknowledged that videos appearing to show UFOs flying through the air are real.
00:00:38The Navy says it still doesn't know what the objects are and officials aren't speculating.
00:00:43For the first time ever, members of the military are breaking their silence.
00:00:47I never spoke a word about my incident for almost 40 years.
00:00:51With shocking revelations.
00:00:52There was no doubt that an unidentified flying object took our missiles off alert.
00:00:58And horrifying encounters.
00:01:00There's nothing words can even describe.
00:01:03It's like an orb, man. Look at that s**t. It's pulsating.
00:01:06But are we prepared?
00:01:08A single UFO would have the ability to wipe out the Air Force.
00:01:12For a war of the worlds.
00:01:15The real worst case scenario is that we're targeted for total extermination.
00:01:22In June 2021, the Pentagon released an official report detailing 144 UFO encounters by the U.S. military.
00:01:41Intelligence officials claim this is all they know about UFOs.
00:01:45But critics aren't buying it.
00:01:48Including government insider Rich Emberlin.
00:01:50As a 30-year law enforcement veteran who's worked alongside the CIA, FBI and Secret Service.
00:01:58He believes we're in the midst of a massive military cover-up.
00:02:03Aliens are a threat.
00:02:05And our very existence is at risk.
00:02:08Now, Rich is on a mission to expose the government's greatest secret.
00:02:14Why are aliens stalking our military?
00:02:17And is our planet in jeopardy?
00:02:20Today, Rich is meeting with retired Air Force security officer Mario Woods.
00:02:33Who knows first-hand what the military is hiding.
00:02:37My God. I can't believe I'm on this road, man.
00:02:41For the first time in over 40 years, Mario is returning to Ellsworth Air Force Base.
00:02:47The site of his terrifying alien encounter that proves UFOs are a threat to us all.
00:02:55Unbelievable seeing this place.
00:02:57I mean, there's almost a sense of weariness, I guess, or excitement all in the same way.
00:03:04To come back and be on the absolute roads that you were on all these years ago when all this happened.
00:03:12I bet it is strange.
00:03:14It is.
00:03:15And that's the facility. That's November 1.
00:03:19Wow.
00:03:20I cannot believe it's still here.
00:03:22Still the same fence. I can't even believe it.
00:03:2543 years ago.
00:03:27My heart's beating about a thousand RPMs right now.
00:03:30Wow.
00:03:32Rich, I am speechless at this facility, how it is today.
00:03:46As in, it's still here?
00:03:49Yeah, even here and existing.
00:03:51During the Cold War, Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota was home to 150 nuclear missiles.
00:03:59All locked, loaded, and ready for the command to launch at a moment's notice.
00:04:05In 1977, Mario Woods oversaw security at one of the launch control facilities, called November 1, on the day that would change his life forever.
00:04:19I was standing about right here, and directly due east of us, right there, at about a 30 degree angle, I see this object.
00:04:26And it's miles away.
00:04:28And it was extremely bright, brighter than anything else in the sky.
00:04:31And it was flickering.
00:04:33So I just sat there and looked at it for a minute, and I smoked a cigarette.
00:04:35And I said, well, that's awful weird.
00:04:37But if you look around us, there is nothing out here.
00:04:40The brightest thing on the ground here would be this facility.
00:04:43So just for fun, I flipped the facility lights at it.
00:04:48Walked back out here and looked, smoked a cigarette.
00:04:50Didn't do nothing.
00:04:52So I started to go back in.
00:04:53And when I did, I turned and looked back, and it was gone.
00:04:55Instantly.
00:04:57Instantly. It was just gone.
00:04:59I didn't see it go out.
00:05:01It just was gone.
00:05:03But that wasn't the end of Mario's encounter.
00:05:07Just after midnight, the launch facility receives a high-threat alarm.
00:05:13There's been a breach at November 5, a missile silo 15 minutes from the facility.
00:05:19Mario and his partner, Sergeant Michael Johnson, receive the order to investigate.
00:05:25But as they approach November 5, the site of the security breach,
00:05:30they are not prepared for what stands before them.
00:05:40Been a long time since here, Rich.
00:05:42My heart's about to come out of my chest from this.
00:05:46So this is it.
00:05:48So this is it right here.
00:05:50That's it right there.
00:05:53Hovering over the missile silo is a giant, glowing spear of light,
00:05:58approximately 100 feet tall and several hundred feet in diameter.
00:06:06You could feel heat from it, from right here.
00:06:09And I only say that because you could feel it almost through the windshield of that truck.
00:06:14Radiation.
00:06:15Gives me chills seeing it.
00:06:18And feeling it.
00:06:26Oh, it really bothers my heart.
00:06:30I'd say that's normal.
00:06:34This is a...
00:06:46It's alive.
00:06:55This is a drawing.
00:07:00This is where we pulled the vehicle to.
00:07:05And this is the fence line of the facility.
00:07:09Mario vividly remembers his paralyzing confrontation with the ominous glowing spear.
00:07:16But the terrifying events that followed remained buried for many years.
00:07:22Until a hypnotist helped him uncover hidden memories.
00:07:28As you're laying there totally relaxed, your mind starts to wander.
00:07:31As you're laying there totally relaxed, your mind starts to wander.
00:07:37It goes back to that time that you were in the military.
00:07:42Before anything happens, you're sitting in the patrol vehicle.
00:07:46And what happened next?
00:07:54It's okay, you're safe now, Mario.
00:07:56We're just looking at a movie.
00:07:58Okay?
00:07:59Take a deep breath and just pause the picture.
00:08:07The atmosphere was like vacuumed away from us.
00:08:11So it's becoming difficult to breathe?
00:08:13Yeah, there was no oxygen, there was no air.
00:08:16I pulled myself up on the windowsill of that truck.
00:08:18And I flashed my maglite at this thing.
00:08:21Not following any sequence.
00:08:23No more different than what was at the launch control facility where they're launched from.
00:08:29And almost immediately, the pressure stopped.
00:08:33Did you feel like you'd communicated with them?
00:08:36I felt as if I asked for a...
00:08:39Relief?
00:08:40Relief.
00:08:42Seeing and interacting with the UFO over the nuclear missile silo was shocking enough.
00:08:48But there was more in store for Mario and his partner, Sergeant Michael Johnson.
00:08:54A paralyzing encounter with several alien beings.
00:09:00So how many were there?
00:09:03Four.
00:09:05Okay.
00:09:07And a tall one behind them.
00:09:10So how tall is the tall one?
00:09:13Six foot and heavy.
00:09:15Can you describe him?
00:09:17Yes.
00:09:19He had a long head.
00:09:22He had a very long head.
00:09:25And he looked at me and just pulled him back through.
00:09:30And he looked at us and just pulled me right through.
00:09:37We were sitting here.
00:09:40And I just remember whispers.
00:09:42That's all I heard.
00:09:44Well, what's around you now?
00:09:46I think some type of room.
00:09:48Some kind of inspection area.
00:09:51I just checked it.
00:09:53And I asked, where's Michael?
00:09:57And they told me not to worry about him.
00:10:00But I see that big tall monster.
00:10:03And he's looking at me.
00:10:05Looking.
00:10:07I don't like this guy.
00:10:09He has a uniform on.
00:10:11It has creases in it like a ranking officer or something.
00:10:15It's this tall guy.
00:10:17He's really not a good person.
00:10:19I feel a pinch on my lower left side now.
00:10:22It's like somebody's got a hold of me or something.
00:10:25And it's fast.
00:10:27It's not kind.
00:10:29And then everything just went black from that point.
00:10:33Next thing I know, we're five to seven miles off in that direction
00:10:37at a place called Newell Lake, which is a reservoir for this whole area.
00:10:42Military security locates Mario Woods and Sergeant Michael Johnson
00:10:46and takes them to be checked out by medical personnel.
00:10:50Once cleared, they're told to never speak about this experience to anyone ever again.
00:11:01God, I can still smell the air.
00:11:03God, I can still smell the air.
00:11:14There's nothing that words can even describe.
00:11:20Your senses are just...
00:11:23can't even...
00:11:27come to grips with that.
00:11:31Whatever that is.
00:11:34You have to.
00:11:40Mentally and visually, it was so overwhelming that
00:11:45you didn't know whether to fear,
00:11:49mess yourself,
00:11:51shoot at it.
00:11:53And every one of those things is not the right thing.
00:11:59It's not the right thing to do.
00:12:03Yeah.
00:12:09Whatever they had in mind, they did.
00:12:13And they'll continue to do it.
00:12:16And they've always done it.
00:12:19And they're not done yet.
00:12:33Mario Woods' life-changing encounter has haunted him for over 40 years.
00:12:39But the military's attempt to bury the truth is even more frightening.
00:12:45Why was the government suddenly silencing witnesses?
00:12:49Were they trying to hide the alien's interest in our military bases?
00:12:53The classic cover-up implies we may be in more danger than we know.
00:13:00Your story of your encounter with the UFO is incredible.
00:13:04I can't imagine what it was like.
00:13:06So if you think my story was bad and scary,
00:13:09I'd really like you to speak with Captain David Shinley.
00:13:12He was at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota.
00:13:15And you can put us in touch with him?
00:13:17I can put you in touch with him, and he has a very interesting story that was very scary.
00:13:20Like Mario Woods, Captain David Shinley was also silenced by the military
00:13:25when one of the world's greatest nightmares came true.
00:13:29My name is David D. Shinley, Captain, U.S. Air Force, retired.
00:13:36In 1966, I was involved in an incident while stationed at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.
00:13:43In 1966, Captain Shinley had the monumental responsibility
00:13:48of launching nuclear missiles from inside a top-secret control facility.
00:13:53Today, he has gained access to a near-identical facility
00:13:58at the Minuteman Missile Museum in South Dakota
00:14:02and is showing Rich how he performed the most dangerous job on Earth.
00:14:06And what happened when a UFO took control of a full arsenal of nuclear weapons?
00:14:14We're going 60 feet down.
00:14:16Sixty feet?
00:14:18Sixty feet down.
00:14:20Four.
00:14:22You wonder why it's so deep?
00:14:24Yeah.
00:14:26It's so that if we get nuked, they're going to have to really dig us out of the ground.
00:14:30And so the deeper we go, the better it is.
00:14:32Roger that.
00:14:45Well, Rich, this is where I spent a good part of three years of my life.
00:14:49Amazing.
00:14:53So this is your office?
00:14:55Yeah.
00:14:57So this is your office?
00:14:59Yes, Rich.
00:15:01This is where the deputy crew commander sits.
00:15:04And when they receive a message from the primary alerting system to launch their missiles,
00:15:11they all access this lockbox.
00:15:15They determine what missiles they're going to launch.
00:15:18And we have ten switches here, one for each of the ten missiles.
00:15:22At the height of the Cold War, those nuclear missiles are pointed at Russia.
00:15:28Just one mistake down here could trigger World War III.
00:15:33You're a young man in your 20s in charge of missiles that could destroy parts or the entire world.
00:15:42Well, that's exactly right.
00:15:44We had tremendous responsibility, and we felt it.
00:15:53But nothing could have prepared Captain Shinley for what happens during one terrifying night
00:15:59that starts out innocently enough one cold September morning.
00:16:05So take me to the day you wake up, you're having breakfast, and you're watching the news at Minot.
00:16:12And what do you see?
00:16:14I heard the TV news announcer say something to the fact that residents of Mohawk, North Dakota,
00:16:20saw strange lights overnight.
00:16:22And they were attributed to a UFO.
00:16:25And these lights were west of town.
00:16:28And when I heard that, I thought, oh my goodness, I'm scheduled for duty at November flight west of Minot.
00:16:37Once Captain Shinley arrives at the control facility, news about the UFO is quickly making the rounds.
00:16:45The flight security manager, he approached me and said,
00:16:49did you hear what happened overnight?
00:16:52The manager tells Captain Shinley that a mysterious disc-shaped UFO about 100 feet in diameter
00:17:00invaded the skies over the west end of the launch control facility.
00:17:05I could tell in their voices and in their faces that it was a very, very frightening experience.
00:17:12And they didn't want to go outside and approach it.
00:17:15It was that frightening.
00:17:19For a brief moment, the UFO idled undeterred until it suddenly disappeared into the open prairie.
00:17:28But what happened next will forever torment Captain Shinley.
00:17:34So this is the launch control console that the commander sits at and monitors his missiles.
00:17:40You can see that the green lights here indicate the missiles are ready to be launched.
00:17:45Well, the first thing we see was we have no green lights.
00:17:48They're all off, but there are a number of indicator lights that were on, yellow and red lights.
00:17:53But every light that was on meant bad.
00:17:56Yes. And especially without a green light, they're unlaunchable.
00:18:02Just moments earlier, all 10 nuclear missiles are ready for launch.
00:18:07But suddenly, something has disarmed them, leaving not only the United States,
00:18:12but the entire world vulnerable to enemy attack.
00:18:17That was a very serious problem because we had never seen a situation like this ever before.
00:18:22There was no doubt that an unidentified flying object took our missiles off alert.
00:18:34The mind-bending event leaves Captain Shinley wondering
00:18:37if the United States is facing an existential threat from a new enemy.
00:18:43I mean, if they can do that, what kind of threat do you think they bring to us?
00:18:48Well, if they were able to take our nuclear-tipped missiles off alert,
00:18:53I have tended to wonder about that, what else they could do.
00:18:58Could they actually remove our nuclear warheads?
00:19:03And what's their fascination?
00:19:04Are they trying to, like, prep the battlefield, soften it up?
00:19:08That's a good question.
00:19:10You know, the military has long had this problem of these things, harassing them.
00:19:16In fact, my commander and I were told as soon as we came above ground the next morning
00:19:22that we were never to say another word about this incident again.
00:19:25In fact, we were told, as far as you're concerned, it never happened.
00:19:29Don't you ever talk about it again.
00:19:31It never happened.
00:19:33Don't you ever talk about this again to anybody, or even between yourselves.
00:19:44Fifty-five years.
00:19:46That's how long Captain Shinley keeps his secret.
00:19:49A secret that festers inside him until 2013,
00:19:54when he heroically comes forward to six former members of Congress at the National Press Club.
00:20:01I was involved in an incident while stationed at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.
00:20:07I was told to never speak of the incident again.
00:20:11And also told that as far as I was concerned, it never happened.
00:20:17Because of that, I am before you today with a bit of trepidation.
00:20:24I must say, a lot of trepidation.
00:20:27As I have never before shown my face in person on this matter.
00:20:33Was it tough talking during that?
00:20:35It was very tough. I was emotional then too, like I think I sort of am now.
00:20:40I can see where this would eat at you for so many years,
00:20:44when you knew something happened and you can't tell anybody.
00:20:48I couldn't tell my wife at the time. I couldn't tell anybody.
00:20:51Because I did have personal integrity.
00:20:53But that personal integrity now leans toward the truth.
00:20:58And I'm obligated now to tell the truth.
00:21:01You were following orders before. Now you're following the truth.
00:21:05Yes.
00:21:07But what is the truth? And why is the military hiding it?
00:21:12That is exactly what Rich is on a mission to find out.
00:21:23After meeting with Captain David Shinley, Rich Emberlin is convinced
00:21:33UFOs have the power to wage war at any moment.
00:21:42In fact, it almost happened when U.S. armed forces opened fire on a fleet of UFOs
00:21:50in the Battle of Los Angeles.
00:21:53In the frantic weeks that followed the deadly attack on Pearl Harbor,
00:22:03many Americans feared a Japanese invasion of the continental United States was imminent.
00:22:09But according to Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for the British Ministry of Defense,
00:22:15this was not the only enemy the U.S. had to fear.
00:22:20War nerves were in play. Everyone was on edge.
00:22:25There was a lot of panic and hysteria.
00:22:29On February 25, 1942, nightmare becomes reality
00:22:35when military radar picks up what appears to be an enemy airplane
00:22:40120 miles west of Los Angeles.
00:22:43This strange object appeared and basically coastal defenses opened fire.
00:22:52While Los Angeles erupts in panic, a mandatory blackout goes into effect
00:22:58while the military fires over 1,400 rounds of ammunition into the night sky.
00:23:04That night during the Battle of Los Angeles, it was like a Hollywood movie.
00:23:09There was chaos everywhere.
00:23:15The next morning, Angelenos awaken, expecting to see a Japanese invasion force lying offshore.
00:23:23But to their surprise, it's the exact opposite.
00:23:29No Japanese aircraft or weapons were found.
00:23:34There was no evidence that this had been a Japanese attack.
00:23:37But this strange object had been seen.
00:23:41Many believe the mysterious object that caused citywide panic was in fact a UFO.
00:23:48But the military vehemently denies such accusations.
00:23:52The amazing thing to me is, if it was a Japanese attacking us,
00:23:56how did they get those Japanese heroes, those airplanes, to stop midair with a bright light,
00:24:02take 1,400 rounds and never hit one of them, and then they just left?
00:24:07To this day, whatever happened in the Battle of L.A. remains a complete mystery.
00:24:17The Battle of Los Angeles is one of many historical incidents the military has dismissed.
00:24:24But what were they trying to hide?
00:24:26The government reaction to these UFO incidents is the traditional one.
00:24:32Deny, downplay, debunk.
00:24:37I think the reason the CIA or other intelligence communities would cover this stuff up
00:24:44is from a military point of view, you can't protect us, you know it.
00:24:51In the wake of World War II,
00:24:53the military suddenly realized we were facing a new adversary.
00:24:58And as more UFO stories surfaced, the government cover-ups continued.
00:25:04The most notorious took place in 1947,
00:25:08when a UFO crash-landed near Roswell, New Mexico.
00:25:13Roswell is literally the ground zero of the modern UFO phenomenon.
00:25:20The Navy has no saucer-shaped aircraft or missile in any of these programs.
00:25:26The Air Force itself has officially admitted that flying saucers exist.
00:25:30Forty-seven years ago, something crashed into the desert outside of Roswell, New Mexico.
00:25:35It was a flying saucer.
00:25:37The Navy has officially admitted that flying saucers exist.
00:25:40Forty-seven years ago, something crashed into the desert outside of Roswell, New Mexico.
00:25:44And for 47 years, the Pentagon lied about it.
00:25:48This was the incident where something crashed.
00:25:51So this was the day that we went beyond lights in the sky
00:25:56and we faced the reality of something physical.
00:26:01And the U.S. military admitted as much.
00:26:05The startling press release quickly turns into headlines around the world.
00:26:10But just 24 hours later, the government has second thoughts.
00:26:16The next day, literally, they changed their story and said it was a weather balloon.
00:26:23Instead of a flying disc, the government now maintains the unidentified flying object was a mistaken weather balloon.
00:26:33Obviously, at a much higher level, somebody said, hey, you can't say flying disc.
00:26:40You've got to come up with a cover story.
00:26:43In my opinion, the President of the United States found out about it by the next day and said, get rid of it. And they did.
00:26:50U.S. military and government denial of the Roswell crash has confounded the public for nearly 80 years.
00:26:58People say sometimes, oh, you can't keep a secret that big.
00:27:02But you can. I mean, history shows us time and time again that huge secrets can be kept.
00:27:13So what exactly is the government covering up?
00:27:17Someone who knows the answer is Agent X, a former CIA operative who has agreed to speak with Rich,
00:27:25providing he can keep his identity a secret.
00:27:29It's pretty incredible that he's going to talk to me because it's a big risk for him to talk about things like UFOs.
00:27:38When I first came in and worked at headquarters, nobody really owned a desk.
00:27:42You know, you sat at wherever the convenient place to sit was.
00:27:46In the older days, back in the 40s, 50s, all through the 60s, things were piled in boxes and desk drawers.
00:27:53The place was full of stuff and nobody had any idea what it was.
00:27:56When the agency entered modern era, cubicles showed up and certain things went into convenient, old-fashioned, heavy-gauge cardboard boxes.
00:28:08And those boxes all wound up going to a place in the library called the Historical Intelligence Collection.
00:28:16I was in there one day and there was a metal rack with all these boxes.
00:28:20And I was just scanning around and I saw one that said Roswell.
00:28:25And I thought, wow, are you kidding me?
00:28:28I opened it up and what was inside, I cannot, I will not, under any circumstances, tell you what I saw in there specifically.
00:28:37There were materials, there were papers, there were other items.
00:28:41I 100% in my heart and soul guarantee Roswell happened.
00:28:47There was a craft, absolutely cadavers.
00:28:50Beyond that, I have no idea where everything else went.
00:28:54Nobody knows where it is.
00:28:57If a UFO actually crash-landed at Roswell and alien cadavers were recovered, why was it hushed up by the government?
00:29:07Rich wonders if the military knew what the aliens were planning.
00:29:21After learning the truth about Roswell from Agent X, Rich is left with one lingering question.
00:29:30What were UFOs doing there?
00:29:34Perhaps the aliens crash-landed before they reached their final destination.
00:29:40Could they have been headed to the White Sands Missile Range instead?
00:29:44The world's largest military installation and the test site for the first atomic bomb.
00:29:53The proximity of White Sands secret weapons testing site, the fact that that's right next to where Roswell happened, that's not a coincidence either.
00:30:04To help determine why the aliens may have been scoping out White Sands,
00:30:08Rich looks back to the 1940s when the U.S. government first authorized a top-secret nuclear testing program, codenamed the Manhattan Project.
00:30:20Its goal was to develop the world's first atomic bomb.
00:30:25On July 16, 1945, their efforts finally came to fruition.
00:30:32After three years of research, the first-ever nuclear detonation, known as the Trinity Test, exploded in the New Mexico desert.
00:30:47Did the Trinity Test somehow catch the attention of aliens in outer space?
00:30:54Is this when they became aware of our nuclear weapons?
00:30:57Could it mean they have their eyes on our military?
00:31:09The impact of the Trinity Test was tremendous in its scope.
00:31:13The effects were felt 100 miles away.
00:31:16It broke windows 120 miles away.
00:31:19The Trinity Test released an explosive force of 21 kilotons,
00:31:23equivalent to 10,000 tons of TNT,
00:31:27and created a blinding flash of light with a giant mushroom cloud 38,000 feet tall.
00:31:35Put yourself in the mind's eye of an extraterrestrial war planner looking at Earth, and they see the Trinity Test.
00:31:45That's the point where they have to come up with a new plan,
00:31:48That's the point where they have to come up with a new plan,
00:31:52because that's the point that they realize they are facing a nuclear power.
00:31:59Earth now has nuclear weapons, and with the missile technology,
00:32:05they have perhaps the capability to get these things into space.
00:32:09July 9th, 1962.
00:32:12Detonating a nuclear weapon in outer space became a reality
00:32:17when a test known as Starfish Prime was launched from Johnston Island,
00:32:23900 miles southwest of Hawaii.
00:32:30Starfish Prime was a staggering event.
00:32:35I mean, this was a detonation, 250 miles in space,
00:32:40and suddenly, here we are, not just detonating nuclear bombs on the ground, but in space.
00:32:48It's like we've ratcheted things up a notch.
00:32:53So that's the point where any extraterrestrials looking at Earth
00:32:58say, this is a planet that needs watching closely.
00:33:02100 times more powerful than the Trinity Test,
00:33:06Starfish Prime was the largest nuclear weapon ever detonated in outer space.
00:33:14It caused an electromagnetic pulse that knocked out streetlights
00:33:21and led to radio interference.
00:33:24It makes us really wonder, how did this happen?
00:33:27Radio interference.
00:33:30It makes us really wonder what was being seen in the other dimension.
00:33:35It's kind of like ringing the dinner bell and saying, here we are, come and get us.
00:33:42Nuclear blasts may have attracted aliens to our planet,
00:33:46but what was their plan once they arrived?
00:33:50Is this when UFOs started surveilling our military?
00:33:54Rich heads to Franklin, Kentucky, to find out.
00:34:06To most, Franklin, Kentucky appears to be a typical southern town.
00:34:12But beneath this facade lies a dark mystery.
00:34:16In 1948, it was here that 25-year-old fighter pilot,
00:34:21Captain Thomas Mantell, made headlines around the world
00:34:26after he died chasing a UFO in the skies above Franklin, Kentucky.
00:34:33For over 70 years, his tragic plane crash has left the community clamoring for answers,
00:34:40including Mantell's grandsons, Eric and Terry Mantell.
00:34:46Hi, guys.
00:34:47Hey, how you doing?
00:34:48Rich Emberlin.
00:34:49Eric Mantell, nice to meet you.
00:34:50Terry Mantell.
00:34:51It's an honor to meet both of y'all.
00:34:54Rich believes they can help him understand how far the military will go
00:35:00to continually hide the truth about UFOs from the public.
00:35:07Some of the medals here are just absolutely amazing.
00:35:10Wow.
00:35:11For a guy that's, how old was he, 25?
00:35:1325.
00:35:14He already had two presidential unit citations.
00:35:17This is a major award, the Distinguished Flying Cross,
00:35:22for someone that's 25 years old, already has all that.
00:35:27That guy's legit, and he was going places.
00:35:31A competent pilot.
00:35:32Hero.
00:35:34It just solidifies who he was as a pilot, as a person,
00:35:37who had two kids and a wife that he was madly in love with,
00:35:40and he still put his life on the line, whatever happened that day.
00:35:43On January 7th, 1948,
00:35:47control tower operators at Godman Army Airfield in Fort Knox, Kentucky,
00:35:52receive a report of an unidentified flying object hovering over the base.
00:35:59There was a bunch of calls all over the state of Kentucky
00:36:02that was flooding into the police department.
00:36:04We see something, it's huge, it's metallic.
00:36:07What is it?
00:36:08Controllers immediately radio the Kentucky Air National Guard.
00:36:13Captain Thomas Mantell, who was leading a flight of four P-51 aircraft,
00:36:18is sent to investigate.
00:36:20Within minutes, Mantell and his wingman close in on the mysterious object.
00:36:27He reported that it was shiny, metallic, tremendous in size,
00:36:32reported seeing observation windows,
00:36:34But then, Mantell gives an astonishing order to one of the pilots in his formation.
00:36:39Return to base and arm your plane with hot guns,
00:36:44the military term which means prepare to fire.
00:36:48That's what I always thought was really interesting,
00:36:50because for me, it's almost like the smoking gun of this whole case.
00:36:53They knew what was going on, they knew it was a serious matter,
00:36:55and they just wouldn't do hot guns for no reason.
00:36:58The reason he's requesting hot guns is he feels threatened,
00:37:01and he's a seasoned guy.
00:37:03He's not going to ask for that unless he needs it.
00:37:07While the other plane prepares for intergalactic battle,
00:37:10Mantell climbs higher and higher in pursuit of the UFO.
00:37:15So he chased this thing, and around 20,000 feet, they lost contact.
00:37:19That's where the mystery kind of starts.
00:37:21Captain Thomas Mantell, who was leading a flight of four P-51 aircraft,
00:37:25Crash landing in a field in Franklin, Kentucky.
00:37:30The same town where, ironically, he was born just 25 years earlier.
00:37:36One of the last people to see the plane was local resident Doyle Burnett,
00:37:41who was just seven years old when the P-51 aircraft tragically fell from the sky.
00:37:48Doyle Burnett was a young man,
00:37:50seven years old when the P-51 aircraft tragically fell from the sky.
00:37:57I heard an explosion, and we looked up, and we saw a plane coming down,
00:38:02and one wing flew off of the plane and went across the field from us.
00:38:07Doyle's wife, Patsy, also witnessed the crash.
00:38:10This is the house you grew up in?
00:38:12Yes, this is where I grew up.
00:38:14And this is where you were at when the plane came down?
00:38:16Yes.
00:38:17How old were you?
00:38:18I was four years old.
00:38:19Really?
00:38:20But I remember it well.
00:38:21I don't think you could forget that.
00:38:23No, you can't.
00:38:25The noise when it hit the roof, it was worse than a hailstorm.
00:38:32Within hours, the horrific crash attracted onlookers from around the area,
00:38:37while the press blurted out news of a military plane crashing while chasing a UFO.
00:38:43Did the military ever show up?
00:38:45Yes, they came to our house, and they woke us up in the middle of the night,
00:38:49and it was a very cold night.
00:38:51Well, my mother asked the military officers what made the plane crash,
00:38:56and their standard answer was he flew too high and ran out of oxygen.
00:39:06There have been many attempts to explain what caused Captain Mantell's plane to crash.
00:39:12No official reports mention anything about a UFO.
00:39:16And this opens more questions than answers.
00:39:19A report came out afterwards saying that...
00:39:23After this one?
00:39:24Yes, yes.
00:39:25A military one?
00:39:26A military report, yes, sir, that he was perhaps chasing Venus.
00:39:30Then another report came out saying that he was perhaps chasing a weather balloon.
00:39:35So that Venus stuff is ridiculous.
00:39:38He sees weather balloons all the time too.
00:39:40They're always launching them on your bases.
00:39:42They do it in the morning before planes take off.
00:39:50This is a piece of your grandfather's plane that he recovered from the crash scene.
00:39:57This is amazing.
00:40:01This is very emotional for me.
00:40:03It has to be.
00:40:05It's emotional for me, and I didn't know the man.
00:40:13While Captain Mantell will forever be immortalized in Franklin, Kentucky history,
00:40:18now his grandsons finally have the opportunity to pay homage to his great sacrifice.
00:40:27Franklin resident Joe Phillips has offered to take Eric and Terry to the crash site
00:40:32where their grandfather, a true American hero, lost his life chasing a UFO.
00:40:41We're basically right in front of it.
00:40:46But when it hit and shook the ground, people that come around to see something like that,
00:40:51it was a terrible day.
00:40:54There's so many emotions going through my mind really right now.
00:40:58To know we're standing right here on the ground means a lot, not only to Eric and myself,
00:41:03but our whole family.
00:41:05His plane, his PF-51 was sitting right where we're standing, which is amazing.
00:41:10I just wonder what he was thinking if he came to.
00:41:17Here's someone, Thomas Mantell, served at D-Day, lives through that,
00:41:22and then dies years later in peacetime over the continental United States chasing a UFO
00:41:31in a situation where the government says there's no such thing.
00:41:34And yet you've got to live with this.
00:41:36You've got to deal with the fact that this happened in your family, your grandfather.
00:41:42I wish I could assuage your loss, but there's just no words for that.
00:41:47Take your time.
00:41:49I don't know how people deal with that.
00:41:52I don't know how they get that closure, but I hope they do.
00:41:55Let's say a prayer.
00:41:56Dear God, thank you for this day.
00:41:59We do know that Tommy and his mother and his wife are together right now,
00:42:06and that's the faith that we have, and that's what carries us on.
00:42:09And we love you.
00:42:11In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
00:42:19The world may never know what Captain Thomas Mantell encountered 25,000 feet up in the air.
00:42:27Could his death have been a warning that the worst is yet to come?
00:42:32And if so, Rich wants to know, is the military prepared to fight back?
00:42:49While Captain Mantell was the first pilot to die chasing a UFO,
00:42:57none have ever been ordered to fire on one.
00:43:00Until 1957, when Major Milton Torres, Jr. survived the greatest UFO face-off of all time
00:43:12and became the centerpiece of yet another military cover-up.
00:43:19Rich is bringing in Roderick Martin,
00:43:23a field investigator for the highly respected Mutual UFO Network, known as MUFON.
00:43:30After witnessing a UFO chasing an Air Force fighter jet at the age of 12,
00:43:36Roderick has made it his lifelong quest to uncover why aliens are stalking our military.
00:43:48MUFON
00:43:53Today, Roderick is arranged to meet with Major Torres' son, Jeffrey,
00:43:58at the organization's annual conference in Las Vegas.
00:44:07Jeff, thank you for meeting with us today.
00:44:09We have been investigating several different incidents of pilots chasing or engaging with UFOs,
00:44:16but unfortunately, some of those lost their lives.
00:44:19In this case with your father, he survived, to tell you.
00:44:23And that's really what's intriguing us today.
00:44:25So let's start from the beginning.
00:44:27Can you take us back to his career so that we can kind of get a little understanding there?
00:44:31My father served 20 years in the United States Air Force,
00:44:35and he had over 300 combat missions in Vietnam, so he was a well-decorated officer.
00:44:40And he also worked for NASA during the space program.
00:44:43Wow, impressive.
00:44:45You know, I can say I lived in a land of giants, because I did, and he was one of them.
00:44:50At the height of the Cold War, hysteria surrounding enemy invasions were mounting.
00:44:56Any indication of an unidentified aerial craft puts the military on high alert.
00:45:04May 20, 1957.
00:45:07American fighter pilot Major Milton Torres, Jr. is stationed at a U.S. military base in England
00:45:14when suddenly he's given the order to scramble after a mysterious object is detected on ground radar.
00:45:24Tearing across the sky at nearly 700 miles per hour,
00:45:28Torres fearlessly pursues the unidentified enemy.
00:45:33He said the radar signature was as big as an aircraft carrier's seat.
00:45:37It was huge.
00:45:39The strange blip on Torres' radar screen is unlike anything he's ever seen.
00:45:46He was chasing this thing on a radar, and as it was doing,
00:45:51the one thing I do remember is it was doing incredible maneuvers that would defy physics.
00:45:58And that was his words. They defied physics.
00:46:01Armed with an arsenal of 24 missiles, ground control orders Torres to engage.
00:46:09It scared the hell out of him, because, you know, you're thinking you're starting World War III.
00:46:15You know, or what the hell is this thing? What am I firing at?
00:46:18But yet he went with courage. He went right into it.
00:46:22But he's thinking this is the beginning of the end.
00:46:28Torres locks in his target and prepares to fire.
00:46:34Once you lock on and you fire, the computer takes over.
00:46:39And as the computer was taking over this thing,
00:46:42boop, boop, and two sweeps, he said two sweeps of the radar was gone.
00:46:45He said his knees were shaking.
00:46:47He said two sweeps of the radar was gone. He said his knees were shaking.
00:46:51He said, what the hell was that?
00:46:53And, you know, he was totally spooked.
00:46:56And he calls ground radar, and he says, ground radar, I don't know what happened,
00:47:00but this thing just disappeared off my scope.
00:47:03Wow, that is...
00:47:04When my dad tells me it was an alien craft, there was nothing it couldn't have been.
00:47:10It was an alien craft.
00:47:11Wow.
00:47:13Following the incident, Torres heads back to base,
00:47:17where he's immediately intercepted by a superior officer.
00:47:22One of the enlisted men brought an NSA guy with an IBM salesman, you know, black suit and tie.
00:47:27The traditional men in black that we all hear about.
00:47:29Absolutely. Absolutely.
00:47:35And the guy came in, and he basically said, do you like flying?
00:47:40Lieutenant Torres, my dad said, I love flying.
00:47:43He said, well, listen, he says, if you ever reveal what has happened, you'll never fly again.
00:47:49We'll pull your rank, we'll pull your pilot's license, and you'll be dog-shitting.
00:47:55And my dad says, yes, sir.
00:47:56He says, you will not talk about this ever again.
00:47:59This didn't happen.
00:48:01Don't tell your wife, don't tell anybody.
00:48:03Fifty years.
00:48:05Yeah.
00:48:06How did he hold it together all of this time without just breaking?
00:48:12It ate him up. He locked it in his head.
00:48:14He just had a lockbox there, and you couldn't get it out of him.
00:48:18And how was life after that for your father?
00:48:21I think the most profound thing was not telling his father.
00:48:24You know, because my dad was close with my grandfather.
00:48:27You know, they were close.
00:48:29And for him to not even tell his father just bewilders the mind.
00:48:35And, you know, I think he took that to his grave that he never was able to tell his dad.
00:48:42I think he really took that to his grave.
00:48:48Although Torres is prohibited from speaking about his UFO encounter,
00:48:52it doesn't stop him from secretly writing about it.
00:48:56He knew from day one it's a cover-up.
00:48:59And he knew, possibly, that this could die with him.
00:49:03He had the foresight to say, you know what?
00:49:06We're going to get an affidavit in place so it doesn't disappear.
00:49:10In 2003, Torres' account resurfaces after the British Ministry of Defense
00:49:16declassifies thousands of pages of UFO documents and releases them to the public.
00:49:23I had been asked to help with the promotion of the declassification
00:49:31and release of the Ministry of Defense's UFO files.
00:49:34So what I was able to do was to act as a sort of intermediary
00:49:39and forewarn Milton Torres that this was going to come out
00:49:45and then do some media work with him.
00:49:52In April 2009, Nick Pope invited Major Torres to speak
00:49:57at a UFO conference in Gaithersburg, Maryland,
00:50:00where he was finally able to share his story with the world.
00:50:08So without any further ado from myself,
00:50:12I would like now to hand over to Major Milton Torres.
00:50:18If ever you want an unimpeachable witness,
00:50:21I mean, Milton Torres was it, a decorated hero.
00:50:24He really was the best of the best.
00:50:27I have been convinced since then that was an alien
00:50:31and nobody's going to talk me into that one.
00:50:33I did it myself.
00:50:35And I thank you for your...
00:50:43He could not tell this story without breaking down.
00:50:47I mean, just the emotion of it was too much for him.
00:50:51I was pleased that I was able to bring him some closure
00:50:56before he died.
00:50:57Thank you very much, Nick,
00:50:59for being instrumental in bringing this about
00:51:02because if you weren't there to bring this out,
00:51:06he would have carried it to his grave.
00:51:08At the end of his life, you know,
00:51:10he was able to finally get some relief
00:51:13and he was unburdened by it, you know.
00:51:15I mean, obviously, for you,
00:51:16this is a deeply personal family thing,
00:51:19but let's not forget,
00:51:21and I don't want to kind of reduce your father
00:51:24to being just a case,
00:51:26but there's no getting away from the fact
00:51:28that this is one of the biggest
00:51:30and most spectacular UFO incidents of all time.
00:51:33Yeah.
00:51:34People talk about Roswell and the other big cases,
00:51:37but this is right up there.
00:51:38What could be bigger and more impactful
00:51:40than getting ordered to shoot down a UFO?
00:51:46After the MUFON conference,
00:51:48Roderick concludes that if the military
00:51:50ordered Major Torres to open fire,
00:51:54they must have known UFOs are a threat.
00:51:59But how will we know if it's an alien invasion?
00:52:16To find out if UFOs threaten our airspace,
00:52:22Rich and Roderick meet with investigative journalist
00:52:25Melissa Tittle at a central location.
00:52:30As the daughter of an Air Force veteran
00:52:33and with over two decades of experience
00:52:35reporting on UFOs,
00:52:37Melissa brings a wealth of contacts,
00:52:41including Ted Rowe,
00:52:43executive director of NARCAT,
00:52:46the National Aviation Reporting Center
00:52:48on Anomalous Phenomena.
00:52:51Together, they will examine
00:52:53his nearly 20 years of research
00:52:56on pilot-related incidents
00:52:58with unidentified aerial phenomena,
00:53:02more commonly known as UAPs.
00:53:09Ted Rowe, we are so honored to have you here today.
00:53:12So I have to say, how did you get involved in this,
00:53:14specifically researching the safety incidents with aircraft?
00:53:20I got involved with this type of research
00:53:23because UAP experiences were something that happened to me,
00:53:26and I wanted to understand it better.
00:53:28Can you tell us about one of your particular experiences?
00:53:34It involved an observation over Oakland, California,
00:53:37in January of 1999.
00:53:39We were southbound on 880.
00:53:41My friend Susan was driving,
00:53:43and about a mile away, this thing stopped
00:53:45right next to the Oakland Federal Buildings.
00:53:48And at that point, it jumped.
00:53:51It moved faster than I could blink.
00:53:54What I saw was a cylinder, about 45 feet long, I'm guessing.
00:53:58It had two big white lights underneath it.
00:54:07As we moved along this way,
00:54:08eventually it turned and paralleled the car.
00:54:14And then, for some reason, it got very dark really fast.
00:54:19And we gained about three hours in time.
00:54:22We drove for maybe a minute and 15 seconds, linear time,
00:54:25and three hours and some passed.
00:54:28Oof.
00:54:29Wow, that's amazing.
00:54:31Did your life completely change after this moment?
00:54:33Absolutely. I felt very unwell.
00:54:36And that literally has become your life now?
00:54:38Yeah, and it's been my life arc since.
00:54:40It's the only thing I do.
00:54:41We've been collecting data.
00:54:42I have over 100 years of pilot reports
00:54:45of unidentified aerial phenomena.
00:54:47And what are some of the patterns that you've noticed
00:54:49in some of your research specifically?
00:54:51Pilots commonly report four basic varieties of UAP.
00:54:56They report balls of light.
00:54:57They report spheres, cylinders, and disks,
00:55:00common geometric forms.
00:55:02There are others, but those are the primary ones
00:55:04that we see in the data.
00:55:05Balls of light made up nearly 50% of the cases
00:55:08that we are aware of at this point.
00:55:10And what are the interactions with the pilots
00:55:12in the balls of light?
00:55:13We've had accounts of them coming
00:55:15and barrel rolling around aircraft.
00:55:17Other types of observations include just having them
00:55:20come at you from a distance and pass you.
00:55:22But there seems to be a personal aspect
00:55:24to the pacing of the aircraft.
00:55:26Hmm, a personal aspect.
00:55:28Coming up next to the aircraft and staying with it.
00:55:30Okay, so there's an interactive quality
00:55:32between it and the aircraft
00:55:33versus something that's just going by and you saw it.
00:55:35Why are they pacing these aircraft?
00:55:37Why are they trying to interact with them?
00:55:39My guess is that they're information gathering.
00:55:41What do you think the message is?
00:55:43Look what we can do.
00:55:45Hmm, that's kind of scary.
00:55:47Yeah, it's very sobering.
00:55:48We should be paying very close attention to this.
00:55:50This is not a joke.
00:55:51Right now, it doesn't look good.
00:55:54We've been talking a lot about military incidents,
00:55:56but do you find that commercial pilots are coming forward?
00:56:00Yeah, in fact, we have Mr. Eric Delgado,
00:56:04who was a pilot who had a UAP encounter in the air
00:56:07that I investigated.
00:56:08He's got most of 30 years in the cockpit.
00:56:11He's got a military career behind him,
00:56:13and he's actually willing to come forward
00:56:14and talk about this a little bit with us.
00:56:16Why don't we get him on a video call?
00:56:18Let's do it.
00:56:19Let's do it.
00:56:20Hello.
00:56:22Hi, Eric.
00:56:23Can you share with us a little bit about what happened?
00:56:26My name's Eric Delgado.
00:56:27I'm a captain on the Boeing 767
00:56:29for a cargo outfit here in the southern United States.
00:56:32Our destination was Memphis.
00:56:34First officer and I were just talking about, you know,
00:56:36the trip, and I look over my left shoulder,
00:56:39and I see this massive white light.
00:56:42Turn on the tail light.
00:56:43Oh, it is on.
00:56:44OK, cool.
00:56:45That's why I thought it was an airplane,
00:56:46because this thing's rotating into us,
00:56:47and I'm like, oh, my God, he's descending into us.
00:56:49And it really scared me.
00:56:51Got my hands on the flight controls and on the throttles
00:56:54and was expecting the TCAS, the traffic collision
00:56:56and avoidance system on our aircraft,
00:56:57to start screaming at us to descend, descend now.
00:56:59So I was, like, really scared and heart's racing.
00:57:03It's like an orb, man.
00:57:04Look at that.
00:57:05It's pulsating.
00:57:06And he's not on TCAS, man.
00:57:08Flip the TCAS switch up and see if you
00:57:10see anything on the display.
00:57:11This system that warns of traffic around or near
00:57:14our aircraft was not going off either orally
00:57:17and was not depicting anything visually.
00:57:20That is a unidentified flying object, bro.
00:57:23Jeez, man.
00:57:24That is freaky, man.
00:57:25And it was then that I realized, oh, my God,
00:57:27this is an unidentified flying object.
00:57:30And I'm like, I've been flying for nearly 30 years of my life,
00:57:33and I've never seen anything like this.
00:57:35That is phenomenal, man.
00:57:36Look at that.
00:57:37There's our airplane, and there's no TCAS.
00:57:39There's weather about 40 miles off our left wing tip.
00:57:43It was out of this world.
00:57:45Wow.
00:57:46There's no way we can compete with that type
00:57:49of speed and maneuverability.
00:57:50What if you had, like, some type of a weapon on there,
00:57:53plasma energy of some sort?
00:57:54Because a missile would seem so outdated.
00:57:57I mean, the threat is real.
00:57:59We're in trouble.
00:58:00If these guys wanted to, man, they
00:58:01would run circles around us.
00:58:03If we were to associate them with a hostile takeover,
00:58:07a coup, if you will, on a scale of 1 to 10,
00:58:09you know, 1, least, 10, the worst, a 9.
00:58:15The intent as to what they're doing here, hey,
00:58:17your guess is as good as mine.
00:58:19Well, we appreciate your service and your time.
00:58:21Thank you for your service.
00:58:22My pleasure.
00:58:23It was nice to meet all of you.
00:58:25When somebody like Eric steps up, he's a straight arrow.
00:58:28He's here to tell you what he saw.
00:58:30Stories of UAP balls of light go back decades.
00:58:34In fact, I brought some photographs.
00:58:36This is a photograph of a ball of light over Catalina Island
00:58:41taken in 1947.
00:58:42And this is a still from Mr. Delgado's encounter last year.
00:58:47Wow.
00:58:48How similar they look.
00:58:49So these two pictures were taken over 70 years apart,
00:58:53and they virtually look the same.
00:58:55Yes.
00:58:56What do you think that they're monitoring?
00:58:58Is it our progress as humans?
00:59:00Is it our technology?
00:59:01I think strategically, they're here to occupy,
00:59:04and they're doing it as part of their overall pattern
00:59:07of colonization or expansion.
00:59:09Are they a threat?
00:59:11I would think so.
00:59:13They outmatch us on every level.
00:59:15They don't respect boundaries.
00:59:17We could find ourselves dealing with an extinction-level event.
00:59:20It could be very bad.
00:59:22Wow.
00:59:26If aliens decide to wage war and take over our planet,
00:59:31does humanity stand a fighting chance?
00:59:35Or will an invasion be the end of the world as we know it?
00:59:48After meeting with Ted Rowe and Eric Delgado,
00:59:52Rich believes we're at a critical point,
00:59:55and it's more pressing than ever for him to determine
00:59:59how aliens may carry out an attack.
01:00:10To further investigate the aliens' war plan,
01:00:13Rich has traveled to Texas to meet with Lieutenant Colonel Kent Johnson,
01:00:18a highly-decorated retired Air Force pilot
01:00:21who may be able to help Rich understand the aliens' capabilities.
01:00:27Again, thank you for coming forward.
01:00:29I know it's not easy for former military or current military people
01:00:32to come forward, but I do appreciate it.
01:00:35It's more of a sense of obligation than anything else
01:00:38because of the most recent war,
01:00:40more of a sense of obligation than anything else
01:00:42because of the most recent report that came out from Congress.
01:00:45And I figured, well, someone needs to know that this is not unusual,
01:00:49and it is happening.
01:00:53In January 1991,
01:00:56Lieutenant Colonel Kent Johnson is on what he thinks
01:00:59is a routine training mission in Saudi Arabia during Gulf War I.
01:01:05I was working with the U.S. Army.
01:01:08I'm in an OH-58 Kiowa helicopter.
01:01:11It's an unarmed observation two-place helicopter.
01:01:14Now, to give you a better idea of what that environment looked like,
01:01:17that's the type of desert environment.
01:01:20And you can see it's rather flat and featureless.
01:01:23That would be me, and there was the other pilot
01:01:25that was on with me during that mission.
01:01:28This picture right here was taken pretty much just before the incident occurred.
01:01:33Lieutenant Johnson and his co-pilot are hovering 50 feet above the desert sand
01:01:39when suddenly something from over a mile away demands their attention.
01:01:46An ominous shadow the size of a football field
01:01:51snaps towards them at over 1,000 miles per hour
01:01:58and disappears into the desert.
01:02:03We were searching around, looking up and down.
01:02:05I couldn't see what was casting the shadow.
01:02:09But then the shadow returns, only this time with a vengeance
01:02:15as it heads straight for Lieutenant Colonel Johnson's helicopter.
01:02:22Suddenly, the shadow mysteriously stops directly in front of them.
01:02:32When it stopped, it was reacting to us, obviously,
01:02:34because we were getting in its flight path.
01:02:36And it slams on the brakes?
01:02:38It does zero.
01:02:39That thing violated what we understand the laws of physics to be.
01:02:42It'd be like running into a concrete wall
01:02:46or a granite mountainside at 20,000 miles an hour.
01:02:49It'll just splatter everything and everybody all around it.
01:02:52Wow.
01:02:53Let me show you something here that I think you'll really appreciate.
01:02:56To better describe what we were seeing as far as the shadow was concerned,
01:02:59the sharp edge, is if you envision something that's flying at altitude,
01:03:03the shadow becomes very blurred.
01:03:06But as it gets closer to the surface,
01:03:08the shadow becomes more sharp, more well-defined.
01:03:12And in this particular case, it was very well-defined,
01:03:15so it indicates it's very close to the ground.
01:03:19Is it a threat?
01:03:21That's a good question.
01:03:23A very good question, because we don't know.
01:03:26All I can say is if they have hostile intent,
01:03:28what chance do we have, realistically speaking?
01:03:33What do you think it was?
01:03:35It could have been a cloaked UFO.
01:03:38The thing is, because we don't know exactly what it is
01:03:41and what makes it operate, who controls it,
01:03:44what kind of technology is involved,
01:03:47it could be a threat if it chooses to.
01:03:50Because how do you defend against something you can't see
01:03:53and you don't know how it operates?
01:03:55And we don't know what their intents are.
01:03:58That scares the hell out of me.
01:04:00Me too.
01:04:04If UFOs can cloak and defy the laws of physics,
01:04:08our military is defenseless.
01:04:12But is this something the government already knows?
01:04:16And are we just sitting targets for when aliens decide to attack?
01:04:26After meeting with Lieutenant Colonel Kent Johnson,
01:04:30Rich realizes that the aliens' offensive capabilities
01:04:34outmatch any of our current technologies.
01:04:39If aliens decide to attack, we don't stand a chance.
01:04:45Not only can they take out the military,
01:04:48but our entire population.
01:04:51Not only can they take out the military,
01:04:54but our entire planet.
01:04:58Is this fateful outcome something the government already knows?
01:05:03If so, why are they trying to hide it?
01:05:10Someone who may know the answer
01:05:12is retired Air Force Staff Sergeant Jeremy McGowan.
01:05:17As the inventor of the world's first citizen-owned UAP tracker,
01:05:22named the OSIRIS,
01:05:24he's currently on his own pursuit to uncover answers
01:05:29the military is not telling us.
01:05:40Rich has sent Roderick Martin to meet with him
01:05:43in his hometown of Las Vegas.
01:05:47Man, this is a cool vehicle, dude.
01:05:49I appreciate it.
01:05:50You're like this mad scientist.
01:05:52I'm going to say this is like Ghostbusters to me, right?
01:05:55This car has definitely been compared to Ecto-1 a few times.
01:05:58It's kind of the real-life version,
01:06:00except instead of hunting ghosts and goblins,
01:06:02I'm out looking for potential UAP.
01:06:07Jeremy has traveled throughout North America with the OSIRIS,
01:06:11which is equipped with specialized radar,
01:06:14a magnetometer to detect any magnetic fields emitted by UFOs,
01:06:19and an accelerometer to identify movement in the sky.
01:06:25The purpose of this vehicle is simply to uncover the truth
01:06:29that I think we will never get from the U.S. government.
01:06:36I was serving in the Air Force for about 12 years.
01:06:39We would normally get calls to pack our bag and get on an airplane
01:06:42and get deployed at no notice because we were a very high mobility base.
01:06:46In March of 1995, Staff Sergeant McGowan is deployed to the Middle East
01:06:52to carry out a covert operation.
01:06:55I got transported out into the middle of the desert,
01:06:58and the only things that were there was a tent
01:07:01and this big, giant, wooden crate.
01:07:04At this moment, you're thinking what?
01:07:06I didn't really know what to think.
01:07:08This was just straight-up strange.
01:07:11I had participated in Desert Storm.
01:07:14I had seen combat over there,
01:07:16and this was nothing like what I had been accustomed to.
01:07:20But you're not supposed to ask questions.
01:07:22You're just supposed to do what you're told.
01:07:24Is it common practice that you are briefed prior to going to a situation like that?
01:07:28We didn't have anything.
01:07:30There was no paperwork, no nothing.
01:07:32My orders were don't get near the crate,
01:07:34and don't let anybody else get near the crate.
01:07:36If they come near it, shoot them.
01:07:38This was a serious order.
01:07:40I was armed with 240 rounds of ammunition for my rifle,
01:07:45and I had 18 rounds of high-explosive grenades with me as well.
01:07:49Now how long did this go on?
01:07:51I was there for three days and nights.
01:07:53Around the clock?
01:07:54Around the clock.
01:07:55There was no supervision.
01:07:56There was no military officers walking around.
01:07:58There was nobody there, so I climbed on the crate.
01:08:01I sat on the crate.
01:08:02I laid down on the crate.
01:08:05One evening, while guarding the mysterious crate,
01:08:08Jeremy has a life-changing experience he will never forget.
01:08:16It is a crystal clear sky.
01:08:18You can look up and just see the entire Milky Way galaxy passing in front of you.
01:08:24I was just sitting there watching the stars with my night vision goggles,
01:08:28and as I was leaning back and looking up,
01:08:31I saw this bright point of light that came from my rear position,
01:08:37shot straight up directly over top of me,
01:08:41made a 90-degree turn to the left,
01:08:43and shot off to my 9 o'clock in under two seconds.
01:08:47When it made the turn, there was no curve to the turn.
01:08:51It didn't slow down.
01:08:53Then it started repeating, and it went over and over and over again.
01:08:58Wow.
01:08:59So what are you thinking now?
01:09:00I don't know what to think at this point.
01:09:02I mean, I just saw something that defies my understanding of the laws of flight physics.
01:09:10It could have been a falling star.
01:09:12Falling stars do not make right-hand turns.
01:09:14Okay.
01:09:15Not at right angles.
01:09:17There was no aircraft, because we're in a restricted no-fly zone.
01:09:21It was a dead zone for air travel.
01:09:23So now that you saw this, this needs to be reported, right?
01:09:26I couldn't.
01:09:27I couldn't tell anybody.
01:09:30For years, Jeremy wonders what exactly was in that crate.
01:09:35Was the mysterious UFO sighting in the Jordanian desert somehow connected to its contents?
01:09:43In 2019, Jeremy finally gets an answer, which also points to a government cover-up.
01:09:51I end up uncovering a guy who was attached to SEAL Team 4.
01:09:56He told me details about that crate, that he was on the receiving end of that crate,
01:10:01and that the contents of that crate were actually a recovered nuclear weapon
01:10:07that had been stolen from the Soviet Empire during the collapse at the end of the Cold War.
01:10:13To be specific, it was an SS-24, which is capable of holding 10 warheads.
01:10:19He stated eight of them were in place.
01:10:23About nine years ago, I was diagnosed with a very specific and rare form of skin cancer
01:10:30that is only caused by exposure to radiation.
01:10:34Wow.
01:10:38Since his cancer diagnosis, Jeremy no longer trusts the government, especially the military.
01:10:46To this day, he wonders, what else are they hiding?
01:10:54The Government's Attempt to Cover Up the Threat in Our Skies
01:10:58The government's attempt to cover up the threat in our skies has been documented throughout history.
01:11:04But now, recently leaked footage reveals a new alien craft stalking our military,
01:11:11making the truth harder to hide.
01:11:14Unidentified Submerged Objects, or USOs, is the official name given to these strange anomalies
01:11:22lurking deep within our oceans.
01:11:25And with our nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers at sea,
01:11:30where there's water, there could be alien firepower.
01:11:37If anyone knows about deadly threats hiding underwater,
01:11:41it's retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer Carson Shoemake.
01:11:46He's served on nuclear submarines, including the USS Tennessee and the USS Pennsylvania,
01:11:53and has agreed to meet with Rich to help him uncover the secret.
01:11:58Carson, in the course of our investigation, we found a lot of occasions where ICBM sites up north
01:12:05and in other parts of the world have been completely shut down,
01:12:09and there were UFOs and stuff like that.
01:12:12And we found a lot of those.
01:12:14And we found a lot of those.
01:12:16And we found a lot of those.
01:12:18And we found a lot of those.
01:12:20And we found a lot of those.
01:12:22ICBM sites up north and in other parts of the world have been completely shut down,
01:12:27and there were UFOs in the area at the time.
01:12:30So in December of 1966, up at Minot, 10 ICBM missiles were disabled all at the same time.
01:12:39How is that possible?
01:12:41I don't know that anybody, any nation-level government is even capable of that.
01:12:47If you thought it was another nation, that's an act of war.
01:12:51When we see things like UAPs coming over the United States, why don't we shoot it down?
01:12:57You would never, from a military aspect, want to go pick a fight with something that you didn't even know what it was.
01:13:02You don't know what their capabilities are.
01:13:04If we just look at this from a logical standpoint, they're capable of intergalactic travel.
01:13:11What exactly are you going to shoot them down with?
01:13:14It's a pretty narcissistic black view to think that we're the only ones that are capable of intelligent thought
01:13:20and research and development and accelerated technology.
01:13:24We don't even know how big the actual universe is.
01:13:29You served on submarines that were nuclear weapons-capable platforms.
01:13:36Yes.
01:13:37Has there ever been anything out of the ordinary that you've seen?
01:13:40Yeah, I've seen a few high-speed anomalies myself.
01:13:44Underwater?
01:13:45Underwater.
01:13:48Wow.
01:13:49So when you look at Sarn, you have these waterfall displays,
01:13:53and so the way that you know that that thing passed so rapidly by you
01:13:58is it will have whipped from one side of the screen to the other.
01:14:02Want to give me a baseline on an incredibly high speed?
01:14:05It did not match even the capabilities of our system.
01:14:09It was faster than our system.
01:14:10Right.
01:14:11Which told me that there's something out there that's not what we would normally see.
01:14:15You've got to remember, you know, everybody's talking about, you know, looking up UFOs.
01:14:20Nobody's talking about looking down into the water.
01:14:23I mean, if I was an intergalactic traveler trying to hide, I'd probably pick the water.
01:14:28And we don't even have the entire ocean mapped.
01:14:31There are large chunks of the ocean that we haven't even verified the contour of the bottom.
01:14:37I've always thought that they were completely charted.
01:14:39Nope.
01:14:40You guys hear noises all the time.
01:14:42Yes.
01:14:43Take me underwater and let me hear what sounds sound like on the sonar.
01:14:48I've got a few on my phone now.
01:14:50Every sound I can't share with you because some of them are going to be controlled and classified.
01:14:54Like this one right here is a whale.
01:15:00Wow, that's louder than I expected.
01:15:04And then we have another one that is actually a ship's propeller noise.
01:15:11You can tell.
01:15:12It's pretty obvious.
01:15:14And here's one that was actually not specifically identified.
01:15:19Canadian military is actually the ones that uncovered it.
01:15:23And they called it a USO.
01:15:34Does that sound like anything you've ever heard?
01:15:36No.
01:15:37That just doesn't match up.
01:15:39Does that give you some sort of pause?
01:15:41Yeah, it definitely makes me curious.
01:15:43I would definitely want to know more information about it.
01:15:46You should always be concerned.
01:15:48You should always collect all data that's available and be prepared to analyze anything that your troops run across.
01:15:56To learn more about USOs and their capabilities, Rich is sending Melissa Tittle to meet with someone who actually came face-to-face with one during his time in the U.S. Navy.
01:16:14In 2010, Airman Apprentice John Bauman is serving on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson as it heads for Haiti on a humanitarian mission.
01:16:26But little does he realize this deployment will be one he will never forget.
01:16:41So tell me about that day.
01:16:43So on that day, it was a pretty calm day. Not a lot going on on the flight deck.
01:16:47And I just took a break. I was on the starboard side of the boat.
01:16:51And then I noticed below me there was an object that resembled the shape of a tic-tac.
01:17:01This isn't a submarine you've seen before. This is something completely different.
01:17:05It didn't have a lot of features that could help distinguish it from like an actual submarine.
01:17:11Typically you have the mast of a submarine that sticks out of the water.
01:17:15In this particular situation, it looked like a solid object.
01:17:22Can you show me what it looks like?
01:17:23Yeah, absolutely.
01:17:24It was about 20 feet long and it went from my left to right.
01:17:31And as it did it, the direction that it was moving, the front end of it, collapsed on itself and it disappeared.
01:17:39In real time, the tic-tac shaped U.S.O. morphs into a horseshoe shape.
01:17:44Within seconds, it bolts away and disappears into the depths of the ocean.
01:17:52Did you panic a little bit? How did you feel?
01:17:55What I did next was I tried to forget what I had seen.
01:18:01The strange encounter stays with Officer Bauman,
01:18:04because he believes that our enemies, worldly or otherwise,
01:18:09are someone or something that we ignore at our own peril.
01:18:15And if it was something not from this planet and they were checking out your aircraft carrier,
01:18:21wouldn't that also be a little suspicious as well, that they were doing it for nefarious reasons?
01:18:27Well, I think you look at it the same way that we should be looking at our foreign adversaries.
01:18:31Obviously, if they got here from another planet, they're way more advanced than we are.
01:18:36However, the objective is the same. How do we defend ourselves against that kind of threat?
01:18:47Is total annihilation of the human race imminent?
01:18:51Or is this something we can prevent?
01:18:54This is launched.
01:19:03Until recently, alien superintelligence has been largely off-limits to serious scientific study.
01:19:10And while the government has silenced and ridiculed those who spoke openly about UFOs,
01:19:17this didn't stop famed theoretical physicist Michio Kaku.
01:19:23Who believes aliens may be humanity's greatest threat.
01:19:36Dubbed the modern-day Einstein, Professor Kaku is considered one of the smartest people in the world
01:19:43and has agreed to meet with Melissa on this urgent matter
01:19:47to share some of his most shocking scientific findings.
01:19:51I think we're reaching a tipping point.
01:19:53That is, traditionally, the burden of proof has been on the believers
01:19:56to prove that these objects were extraterrestrial.
01:19:59Now, it's reversed.
01:20:01And now we have the smoking gun.
01:20:04Where hearsay is now being replaced by military-grade videotapes,
01:20:09radar sighting, infrared sensor reports
01:20:12that we physicists can analyze frame by frame.
01:20:15This is a game-changer.
01:20:17Some of these encounters are off the charts.
01:20:19Things that we understand currently in physics.
01:20:22If they can reach us from the stars, they are thousands of years more advanced than us.
01:20:28We could be dealing with something that has a new law of physics involved.
01:20:33First, we know they can travel between Mach 3 and Mach 20.
01:20:38We know they can travel between Mach 3 and Mach 20.
01:20:41Three times to 20 times the speed of sound.
01:20:45They can zigzag, creating g-forces several hundred times the force of Earth's gravity.
01:20:53That seems to violate most laws of physics, okay?
01:20:57And these objects can go underwater.
01:21:00And so we realize that we're dealing with a technology
01:21:04that pushes the very boundary of what we know about the laws of physics.
01:21:08You mentioned the USOs, which are the crafts that go into the water.
01:21:13What are your thoughts on that?
01:21:15Well, what does water have that they may want?
01:21:18And that is, first of all, hydrogen.
01:21:20Hydrogen as fuel.
01:21:22And so, in other words, they're filling up their gas tanks.
01:21:25Oceans and oceans of fuel that could be used to fuel a starship.
01:21:31Could there be another reason, possibly, that they're hiding?
01:21:34They could do whatever they do, like maintain their equipment,
01:21:37without being harassed by the United States military.
01:21:41The oceans would be an ideal place for them.
01:21:44We've come across a couple stories where we've heard of cloaking.
01:21:48That these UFOs, USOs, have the ability to cloak.
01:21:53Any fan of Star Trek knows that these starships can cloak themselves and become invisible.
01:21:59And alien technology, they probably already mastered it.
01:22:03But why are they here?
01:22:06What do they want?
01:22:10Look at the film War of the Worlds.
01:22:12Did the Martians hate us? No.
01:22:15What did the Martians want?
01:22:17They wanted our planet.
01:22:19That's all. We were just in the way.
01:22:23Professor Kaku's sobering message could be a wake-up call to humanity.
01:22:28That UFOs and USOs are something to fear.
01:22:35And that we need to prepare for the day when they decide to strike.
01:22:41The movie Independence Day, what did the aliens want?
01:22:45They wanted everything.
01:22:48Every scrap of energy or resource, they were locusts.
01:22:53Locusts that come in like bugs and just take everything in sight.
01:22:59If push comes to shove, and we have to fight them.
01:23:03And in the worst case scenario, we're simply outgunned, outmanned, and we become a footnote.
01:23:09A footnote in the history of the Milky Way galaxy.
01:23:12When there is a potential adversary in our skies,
01:23:17with technology that goes way beyond anything we have,
01:23:23how could there not be some fear?
01:23:25What if this suddenly accelerates from being a war of nerves to a real shooting war?
01:23:35If they don't have our best interests at heart,
01:23:38we're in trouble.
01:23:39We have seen their deeds, we've seen the things that they've done.
01:23:42If we ignore this, we're doing that at our own peril.
01:23:45The UFO phenomenon, it affects all of us.
01:23:48My only hope and prayer is that we are prepared.
01:23:51The next step is not going to be, we come in peace.
01:23:55This feels like war.
