00:00What's going on everybody this is HackerGlenn here alright so in today's
00:03video we are pretty much going to be talking about fake websites. How do you
00:07know that a website is fake? Now what do I mean by a fake website? Websites as
00:13gear to implant viruses on your computer, steal your information, get your IP
00:18address so you can DOS it or just run network scans on that IP address to see
00:23if I can exploit it and get inside your computer. I mean there's a number of ways
00:28that these websites operate. Now these websites are created by scammers they're
00:34created also by hackers. So in saying this there are some telltale signs with
00:40these websites to be able to differentiate between a real one and a
00:45fake one. Here's an example. Alright so right now I actually have my
00:50patch server running and I'm going to actually put up an IP address that's
00:55going to lead us to the fake website. So check this out. Now right now you see I'm
01:00typing in an IP address to this particular website. Now this is just a
01:04random website got off of the internet. Now you see it looks just like the
01:09original website but let's say if you click on a link it'll redirect it to the
01:15original website because when you click on something it looks for a source. Now
01:20when it finds the source of the original website it'll take you there. So you know
01:25that from the fake website you can get to the real website. That's what makes
01:29this so dangerous. You won't be able to tell the difference by looking at a face
01:34value. Look up top there. You don't see the actual domain name. This is the
01:38actual domain name of the website. You see it has an IP address. This one is
01:44real. Looks the same though right? I mean it looks dead-ass the same. That's what
01:49I'm saying these fake websites can trick you. We're hackers. It took me like three
01:52seconds to create this. I can use a tool or can get the HTML code. Now you see it
01:57has an IP address and by the way this is a local IP address meaning that it's
02:01192 or 10 dot something. That's not your actual IP address. That's just one of the
02:06IP addresses on your computers using network address translation goes to your
02:11main IP address and gets out to the internet. So I just want to let people
02:14let people know about this. So that's what I'm saying right here. You see it
02:18looks the exact same but a major difference. It's not secured. You can
02:22click on that little button. It'll say not secured. You know it'll give you that.
02:25So those are the indicators. Now on these websites I can have a link on there for
02:31you to download a virus. I'm into your computer. I could put ransomware on there.
02:35I could tell you give me $2,000 otherwise you'll never see your data
02:39again. I know what you're gonna say. I can't pay. This is about making money. If
02:43you're not gonna pay me to save yourself I'm just gonna destroy it. That's what a
02:47black hat hacker thinks like. That's exactly how black hat hackers thinks. So
02:52these fake websites once again you know it'll have HTTP which is hypertext
02:59transfer protocol. You want HTTPS. HTTPS means that your information is encrypted.
03:06Not just that it shows more of an identity of the website because in order
03:11for you to actually get an identity like for you to prove your identity for these
03:16websites like Google how Google Yahoo Crunch or how they did that you have to
03:20send in documentation paperwork wait for it to get processed and approved. You
03:25can't just do that online. You have to actually send that out with like I'm
03:29through a paper copy. Once you do that then you can prove hey I am who I
03:34actually say I am and that's because of all the fraud that's out there this has
03:38been required. You know there is a way to where I can get an SSL certificate and
03:43throw it on my website to where it looks legitimate. There is a way I can do
03:47that definitely. I could also just buy a domain that looks similar to it throw it
03:52up there and then you know you'll definitely not be able to tell like
03:57remember a long time ago you know instead of YouTube people accidentally
04:02put in a YouTube going on Google it went to a website right because it was close
04:08enough and that's the reason why these practices exist for you to verify
04:13yourself because once you're verified then they can say hey this is a
04:17legitimate person. You know that's why they go through the verifications but
04:21overall fake websites can definitely pop up out of nowhere. You get links to your
04:27email you get them on your phone anywhere. Hackers are always looking for
04:31a way to destroy you. JokerHackers for life.
