00:15Laura Loomer, a far-right activist known for touting highly controversial opinions, may
00:20be one of Donald Trump's biggest supporters. But it seems he doesn't know what to make
00:24of her. Loomer, who has a large social media presence, spends a lot of time supporting
00:29Trump's campaign by spewing harsh words at his political adversaries. She even launched
00:34a racially-charged attack on ex, formerly Twitter, against former Congresswoman Sheila
00:39Jackson Lee, who died of cancer in July 2024. Loomer, however, doubled down in a follow-up
00:46post despite backlash.
00:48Loomer also managed a response from the White House after lashing out at Vice President
00:52Kamala Harris in comments concerning her racial identity. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre
00:59said during a press conference,
01:00"...it is un-American to say these types of things. Exactly the kind of hateful and divisive
01:05rhetoric that we should denounce and should not be part of the fabric of this country.
01:10No leader should ever associate with someone who spreads this kind of racist poison."
01:14"...it is repugnant, these types of comments."
01:19Now, Trump's future affiliation with Loomer may be up in the air. According to NBC News,
01:25some in Trump's inner circle aren't fans of Loomer and want her far away from his campaign.
01:30He responded with a sincere defense of her. Trump said in a press conference,
01:34"...Laura's been a supporter of mine."
01:38However, the former president also noted that he wasn't in control of her, adding,
01:43"...I don't control Laura. Laura has to say what she wants. She's a free spirit."
01:47Loomer, whose feed on ex is full of pro-Trump tweets, returned that favor on September 15
01:53by supporting Trump's takedown of Taylor Swift, who recently endorsed Harris for president.
01:59Taking to Truth Social, Trump wrote in all caps,
02:01"...I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT."
02:03On ex, Loomer reposted a screenshot of Trump's post, alerting her followers of his dig. In
02:09a post that garnered thousands of views, she wrote,
02:11"...President Trump just posted, I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT."
02:15However, Trump was singing a slightly different tune about Loomer when he logged into his
02:19Truth Social account a couple days earlier, on September 13. In an attempt to gently downplay
02:24Loomer's affiliation with him, he wrote in a post,
02:27"...Laura Loomer doesn't work for the campaign. She's a private citizen and longtime supporter.
02:32I disagree with the statement she made, but, like the many millions of people who support
02:36me, she is tired of watching the radical-left Marxists and Fascists violently attack and
02:41smear me, even to the point of doing anything to stop their political opponent, me."
02:46Unfortunately for Loomer, Trump's pick for Vice President, J.D. Vance, has also spoken
02:51out against her following her comments about Vice President Harris. Vance said on Meet
02:56the Press,
02:57"...I think what Laura said about Kamala Harris is not what we should be focused on. We should
03:01be focused on the policy and on the issues."
03:04Interestingly, Loomer retweeted Vance's commentary with more of her own. She wrote on ex,
03:10"...Senator J.D. Vance has done a fantastic job as an Ohio Senator, and he has given a
03:15voice to the forgotten men and women who want to talk about real issues."
03:19It seems that nothing can shake her loyalty to Trump.
