At least six major operators suffered extensive damage, while smaller structures were completely washed away after high tide hit beachfront eateries in Pantai Bersih, Butterworth, on Tuesday (Sept 17).

00:45said his restaurant, once filled with 60 tables, had been reduced to rubble, with no tables
00:51in sight. The tide reached a peak of 2.4 metres on Tuesday, and is expected to rise
00:57to 2.7 metres on Thursday and Friday.
