00:00Yeah, Merideaux, about 20 miles northwest of Dallas, just an absolute beast.
00:08I mean, maybe this is the longest course we've ever seen on the PGA Tour, live circuit, what
00:13have you.
00:14It tips out at over 7,800 yards.
00:18And if you're familiar with slope and rating, the slope is a measurement of how difficult
00:24the golf course is.
00:25The slope from the tips is 155.
00:28That is a lot to bite off.
00:31And the rating is 80.
00:33The rating, you see course ratings like 69.6 or 72.1 or whatever.
00:39That's like if you took a robot and all they do is shoot par.
00:43At Merideaux, from the tips, that same robot would shoot 80.
00:47Now, PGA Tour pros are better than that robot.
00:51But boy, this course, it's got small greens.
00:54They're firm.
00:55They're fast.
00:56The fairways are relatively narrow.
00:58I think it's more positional off the tee.
01:01But if you get into the rough, they're into some of these native grasses that can get
01:05pretty...
01:06And that's maybe why the slope is so high, because if you miss the fairway here, you
01:11could be in some real trouble.
01:13And the course really surprised me last week.
01:16I think it's kind of similar in style, where, you know, a lynx's type feel, design, some
01:22of the native grasses off of the fairways and what have you.
01:26I was surprised last week's golf course played as tough as it did on these guys.
01:30I think this week will play tougher.
