00:00Tamara was so unbelievable and I, you know, I never remembered him doing anything like
00:09that frankly ever.
00:12I mean, I always thought he was good, but I never saw him light it up like that yesterday
00:17where he like, I don't know what I was watching.
00:19I was like, I, you know, I always thought he had it all, you know, talent wise, but
00:24I've never seen him mix it up like that.
00:27Well, he scored the four touchdowns.
00:30He did score six touchdowns, ran for six touchdowns against Minnesota on Christmas Day in 2020.
00:34But I mean, the last three seasons, years ago, the last three seasons, his numbers have
00:39dipped and it just hadn't looked like quite the Alvin Kamara we're accustomed to seeing
00:44it.
00:45And he's a guy who's always in phenomenal shape physically.
00:48He's got a great mind for the game.
00:50We just didn't know how we're translating this offense and you see Christian McCaffrey
00:53in this offense and you see other running backs in this offense and you say, man, they're
00:57very productive.
00:58Alvin Kamara saw those same things and he knew that production could be his if he was
01:04in this offense.
01:05And he has exploded, especially against Dallas yesterday, where he looked like the Alvin
01:10Kamara that we're accustomed to seeing from five, six years ago, where he looked fresh.
01:15He's got some of the best balance I've ever seen for a running back.
01:18And he was just a guy who was not going to be denied.
01:21And he ran for the tough yards too.
01:22It wasn't just a flash in the dash.
01:25He muscled up between the tackles when they had to, when they needed some tough yards.
01:30Have you ever seen anyone do that with that much of a gap in their career of when they
01:37were great, when they were young, and then four years later, do it again?
01:43I can't remember anyone losing four years of their life in a football career and having
01:49a game like that.
01:50On that 57-yard screenplay, he was just a monster.
01:55And I'm sitting there watching going, what?
01:58I was in Vegas and I'm going, what is happening here?
02:02What is going on here with this guy?
02:04I go, do you remember this guy?
02:06I'm looking at people in the bar.
02:07I'm going, do you remember this guy?
02:08Think about it, Scott.
02:09This is a running back.
02:13These guys fall off the table at a certain age.
02:17They don't just dip.
02:18They fall off the table.
02:19And you wondered if Alvin Kamara was in that spot where he was literally about to fall
02:24off the table.
02:25So when you're talking about four years gap between running back, that's almost totally
02:30different than any other beast in the NFL because their production drops so sharply
02:35and they generally never get it back.
02:38But he is the guy who apparently, maybe he never lost it and they just needed a new offensive
02:43system.
02:44They needed some new blood.
02:45They needed some new schemes to free him up and get him in space.
