00:00We start with Ole Miss. Fifth-ranked and on the road for their first true road test of
00:08the year in Winston-Salem. Joe, an intriguing game. Power competition on both sides. Slightly
00:14less than a three-touchdown spread. Twenty and a hook in favor of the Run-Rebs who, listen,
00:20I know the competition hasn't been great. FCS, Foe and Furman. Middle Tennessee State
00:24without their longtime head coach in Rick Stock still this year. But they're 2-0 against
00:30the spread. They won 52-3 last week, covering as a 42-and-a-half point favorite. And as
00:35we shared during the Heisman Trophy talk, Jackson Dart has been the most efficient passer
00:40in college football. Can Ole Miss cover as a three-touchdown favorite today in Wake?
00:45They can, and I saw this line up around 22-and-a-half, 23 in regards to this matchup. You're talking
00:51about Jackson Dart, 87% completion percentage, 795 yards, six touchdowns. He's added another
00:58two on the ground, and they're averaging 64 points per game. And they're going up against
01:02a defense in Wake Forest that allowed Virginia to steal that game in the last seven minutes
01:08of that matchup at home with a 13-point lead. They put up some points as well. Again, when
01:13you look at this matchup, and Wake cost me last week as a one-and-a-half point favorite.
01:18Terrible coaching decision by Dave Klaassen, up 13 on a third-and-nine, could've ran it,
01:25and went for it on fourth-and-nine, totally gave the game away. But that being said, the
01:29fact that it's right around three touchdowns, a little bit more, I'd be inclined to take
01:34the points. You have Hank Bachmeier, the former Boise State quarterback that's playing very
01:39well, 666 passing yards, four tutties, no interceptions. They're averaging, Ben, 361
01:46passing yards per game. Keep an eye out for Donovan Green, a playmaker as well that leads
01:51his team in receptions. I don't know if they win it, but I don't think they win it. But
01:55they cover this number today, and the overdose flies through the 64-and-a-half.
01:59I am interested to see what the Jackson-Dart stat line looks like, because Jackson-Dart
02:04came out and said, I'm not worried about the Heisman Trophy. Well, then I guess your coach
02:09is, because last week, in the fourth quarter, 45-3, ball at their own six-yard line. Jackson-Dart
02:16is in throwing touchdown passes. And that is what we call the Jaden Daniels playbook.
02:21So his passing yards prop today is 323-and-a-half. Why so high? They're 21-point favorites. Why
02:26would he need to throw the ball that much? Well, because Ole Miss is clearly chasing
02:33a Heisman for Jackson-Dart. It's clear as day. That's why his numbers look so good.
02:37I mean, he has to be able to convert on the opportunities. The numbers are absolutely
02:41gorgeous and glorious. 87-percent passes completed. Eight total touchdowns. I mean,
02:45again, as we went through the statistics, statistically, he's the guy. And that is by
02:50design. So I would just look for Jackson-Dart to smash every single number on the table,
02:55because that is clearly what Ole Miss is valuing.
02:57Nearly 450 yards of total offense for Dart in the opening half in the season opener against
03:03Furman. Six total touchdowns, five through the air. Only that single touchdown last week.
03:08Just seven incompletions for Jackson-Dart.
03:11Listen, can I just say something? Does anyone think that if at the end of the year this
03:16team's 10-2, people are going to go back and be like, oh, come on, but all his statistics
03:20were against Furman and Middle Tennessee and Wake Forest? Does anybody think that? Because
03:24nobody did it last year. So I'm just curious, because, listen, I am trying not to derail
03:29this show, but I still really can't get over you saying that Jackson-Dart hasn't done it
03:33against anybody and then think back to everything we talked about last year.
03:36It's the second game of the year.
03:38I understand that.
03:39He's played nobody. I have to look at it. Look, if we, Jackson-Dart at the start of
03:44the year was my pick to win the Heisman, right? He was one of, along with Donovan Edwards.
03:49But again, I have to look at it objectively. I mean, the fact that he's put up 87% completion
03:55percentage on Middle Tennessee State and Furman, and he's still got to play LSU. He still has
04:00to play a handful of teams in the SEC. Right, Georgia. Let me see you duplicate that type
04:06of success against top 10 opponents before I'm buying in.
04:10No doubt about it, right? You have to have those solid performances in the spots where
04:15your games are going to be the most significant. But you also need the base level against teams
04:20you should beat up on and perform like you're beating up on that team. Jackson-Dart so far
04:26the most efficient passer in college football. A passer rating of 247.4. That breaks through
04:33the charts. Ole Miss did allow 250 passing yards last week in their game against MTSU.
04:39But on 28 rush attempts for the Blue Raiders, just a yard point one per pop. Henry Parrish
04:46Jr., by the way, the Miami transfer. Four rushing touchdowns last week, 165 yards. And
04:52since the start of last season, Wake was just a 4-8 football team. Last year, now 1-1.
04:56Blowing a 30-17 lead, entering the fourth quarter last week in the ACC opener against Virginia.
