00:00Welcome friends, in today's video I am going to tell you about the difference between England,

00:05Great Britain and United Kingdom.

00:07In this map you could see this part, this is called England.

00:11So England is a separate country.

00:12Now comes the next thing.

00:14What is Great Britain?

00:15Great Britain consists of total three countries.

00:18First is Scotland, second is England and third is Wales.

00:22Means when we combine these three countries together, that is called as Great Britain.

00:28Now the next thing, what is United Kingdom?

00:31As you can see in left, this whole portion is called Ireland.

00:36Ireland consists of two countries, the upper portion is called Northern Ireland and the

00:40lower portion is called Republic of Ireland.

00:44When we will combine Northern Ireland with Great Britain, then it will be called as United

00:51Kingdom.

00:52So United Kingdom consists of four countries, Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

00:59Therefore the full name of United Kingdom is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and

01:04Northern Ireland.

01:06All four countries have the same passport in the name of United Kingdom.

01:10If we go into the history, England and Wales combined together in 1542.

01:15After that Scotland also joined them in 1707.

01:19Then later on Ireland also joined in 1801.

01:22But in 1922, the major portion of Ireland got separated and that major portion was Republic

01:28of Ireland.

01:29Therefore, at present, United Kingdom has four countries, Scotland, England, Wales and

01:35Each country has its own capital.

01:38The capital of England is London.

01:40Capital of Wales is Cardiff.

01:43Capital of Scotland is Edinburgh.

01:46And the capital of Northern Ireland is called Belfast.

01:57The first one is Ireland and the second one is Great Britain.
