00:00Yeah, what kind of life lessons did you learn in your 60s?
00:03To eat well, be well, work hard, and take care of yourself.
00:14I really learned the importance of exercise. I was always very active, but I learned the
00:20importance of daily training, of daily good diet, of getting a manicure once a week.
00:28I didn't do that early on, but then I realized how important it was to take care of oneself
00:36so that with each decade, you look okay. And people say,
00:42oh my gosh, you look much younger than you are. That's very nice.
00:49You look better than okay. How about 70s?
00:5170s, the same thing, just more traveling, enjoying the appearance of fantastic,
01:03two fantastic grandchildren. They have been a great joy. I take them traveling. They've
01:09been to the seven continents. They have lots more travel desires. We have a very good time.
01:17And now it's sports and it's music festivals. I have to go, believe you me, to concerts. I have
01:26been to dance recitals, Broadway plays, much more than I used to because my granddaughter loves all
01:34that. Billie Eilish is coming up at Madison Square Garden. My grandson wants the Super Bowl.
01:42I took him to the US Open yesterday, to the men's finals. All of that is, that's what I'm
01:48doing now, spending a lot of time entertaining the children who are extremely appreciative.
01:56I know you said that obviously you're spending a lot of time with your grandchildren. Do you
01:59feel like family is most important right now? Well, it's, but also your friends are very
02:05important and your work is very important. So I try to balance a whole lot of stuff.
02:10I'm extremely busy. And I think that in comparison with many of my friends, the busyness
02:17does help a lot. And the focus on creative work helps a lot. Writing a cookbook in a year,
02:26last year, I spent a lot of time, you know, I'm running a business too, but writing,
02:31we're just writing a whole cookbook, photographing, taking all the pictures,
02:36cooking all the food, making it the most beautiful cookbook of the year. That took a
02:42lot of effort. And I think that that will show very nicely in the sales of that book. It's called
02:51Martha the Cookbook. I cannot wait. That's going to be great. If you could go back to
02:56childhood Martha, what would you tell her? I think childhood Martha did pretty well.
03:03I don't, I don't think, I don't think she needs any advice. I love that.
