Yoshiki Enomoto, director of the Japanese wireless communications company Icom, expressed concerns the two-way radios which exploded across Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah militants, may not be genuine.

Enomoto said: "We have a robotic production line and it's very fast so there is no time to set up an explosive device," suggesting the devices could be counterfeit.

00:00I have the device that exploded in black and white printed here.
00:04The hologram sticker should be here.
00:07The fact that the sticker is not on here means we cannot determine if it's genuine.
00:12We have started to put hologram stickers to determine authenticity.
00:16But we didn't do this from the start.
00:19If it's authentic, there should be a sticker here.
00:22But for this model, we didn't put hologram stickers from the start.
00:26There was a period of time when we didn't add holograms.
00:29So if this device comes from that time, we cannot eliminate the possibility that it may be our product.
00:35It is impossible to set some kind of explosive device during the production process.
