00:00I'm Millie Cook and I'm here in Birmingham for this year's annual Reform UK conference.
00:03It's set to be the largest conference the party's ever held, with nearly 80,000 members,
00:07this year's ticket sales are four times higher than last year's.
00:09The party shot to prominence after securing five MPs the last general election,
00:13the first time the party's done so in its history.
00:15Today's conference is set to be a big one for the party,
00:17as they're really trying to prove to the public that they are a legitimate electoral force.
00:21They've changed their party structure in recent days,
00:23trying to prove to the public that they are electable,
00:25and that Nigel Farage could, they say, be the next Prime Minister.
00:28We're going to see them cover a wide range of topics,
00:30even though the party built its name on migration,
00:32they're trying to prove they're no longer just a single issue force.
00:35They're looking at things like net zero, calling it some kind of cult,
00:37they're looking at communities and how we need to zoom out from the Westminster bubble,
00:40trying to promote Nigel Farage as the UK's next Prime Minister.
00:43If you're a supporter of reform, they're trying to say we're on the rise,
00:46and if you're opposed to reform, they're saying don't underestimate us.
