A judge in a rural Kentucky county was shot and killed at the local courthouse on Thursday, and the local sheriff was charged in the shocking killing, police said.

01:15we can resolve it as quickly as possible and start that process forward.

01:33As far as the motive, I mean, it's still very early stages of this investigation.
01:37And that's questions that we still have at this time that we're still trying to
01:41figure out.
01:41So hopefully as the days move forward,
01:44that's information that we'll be able to find out as well.
01:48There is several witnesses, which adds to the complexity of the investigation,
01:52which means the detectives will have to interview each and
01:55every witness that was present.
