00:00The Philippines is the so-called epicenter or hotspot of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children or asylum seekers.
00:13For four months, the PNP-WCPC has been targeting and monitoring a Filipino based in the UAE.
00:22According to the PNP-WCPC, the PNP-WCPC has access to a vast cyberweb of criminal activities
00:28such as the sale of illegal images and videos of young victims.
00:34Here is the 111th picture and this is our receipt.
00:41The PNP-WCPC was the first to receive a report on an illegal online channel.
00:55We received a complaint regarding a channel that shows illegal pictures of children.
01:07And this is being sold online, not only here in the Philippines but in other countries as well.
01:13When the so-called online channel authorities entered,
01:17hundreds of illegal images and videos of Filipino minors and the youngest, Shyam Nataunggulang, appeared.
01:29More than 100 children were victims.
01:32That was the first channel we saw.
01:34The PNP-WCPC has three channels and each channel has 30,000 subscribers.
01:41How does the PNP-WCPC operate?
01:43The children who arrive on the internet, they talk to the PNP-WCPC and assume that they are the same age as the child.
01:49They will grow up and become friends.
01:52And then they will offer the PNP-WCPC loads on their cellphones to give them pictures.
01:57In the ongoing investigation by the authorities,
02:00in what they consider to be the biggest case of online sexual exploitation of children in the country,
02:07they also discovered the illegal channel that the suspect used on minors.
02:16When he gives pictures, they will crop the pictures so that the child looks like he is naked.
02:22When that happens, they will talk to the child and blackmail him.
02:26What they will say is that they will post these pictures and the child will have to follow them.
02:32And in some occasions,
02:34what people do is for the child to go to a place where a man is waiting for him.
02:42There is a physical abuse or rape that will happen to the child.
02:47And usually, what happens is that they will video or live stream it.
02:55And this is what they sell online.
02:57There is a reason for us to arrest.
02:59We will get him.
03:00We will give justice to the children who became victims.
03:07Because of the alarming number of victims,
03:10the Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center or PNP-WCPC
03:16conducted the following rescue operations.
03:19Together with R-Recibo, the authorities headed to Region 3
03:24to rescue the 16-year-old child who became a victim of online channels, Nemihia.
03:34We will hide him under the name Cherry.
03:37According to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office or MSWDO,
03:42he told R-Recibo about his experience online.
03:48I met him on Facebook.
03:50He added me.
03:51And then we became close.
03:54And then he started courting me.
03:56I didn't like it.
03:57He said it's okay with him as long as we become friends.
04:01When the suspect was able to get inside the house,
04:04this is where he started asking for a picture of his new friend.
04:10That's where he took my money.
04:13He asked me to exchange pictures.
04:16Three times a week.
04:18And there's also a video.
04:20But Cherry was wrong.
04:22They were talking privately about the suspect.
04:26Because of that, he started playing his pictures and videos online.
04:32I trusted him.
04:33He said he wouldn't look for me again.
04:37He even wanted to complain to his family.
04:40I was afraid that they would scold me.
04:43It was hard for me to find the person I was talking to.
04:47He said he was from another country.
04:52Cherry's experience is not far away.
04:55The story of the 16-year-old Isabel,
04:59whose real name is unknown to the Dalaguita family,
05:03who talked to R-Recibo.
05:06Her story is that she also met the suspect
05:09when he sent a friend request to his social media account last year.
05:15He just said hi.
05:16He said we can be friends.
05:18But being friends with his boyfriend
05:21has a bad motive.
05:24At first, we talked on Facebook.
05:26Then he told me that his account was hacked.
05:30So he transferred me to another social media platform.
05:34That's when we started talking.
05:36He asked me if I wanted money.
05:39I offered him money.
05:40This is where the suspect started asking for pictures and videos of Isabel.
05:45His body.
05:46That's what he offered me.
05:48There are prices for pictures.
05:51There are also prices for the whole body.
05:58And in some occasions,
06:00Isabel did not follow the orders of the suspect.
06:05He forced me.
06:06He told me to send it.
06:07All I know is that I will just send it.
06:11That's it.
06:12Within almost three months,
06:14Isabel did not count
06:16how many pictures and videos she sent to the suspect.
06:21I was scared.
06:23But he said he wouldn't spread it.
06:27I was still scared.
06:29But I still believed him.
06:31Inside Dalagita,
06:33the suspect's son accepted
06:35that this was the only way he could support his studies.
06:41There are a lot of things that we need in school.
06:44Especially in our projects.
06:47I can't afford it.
06:49My grades are falling.
06:51I don't really need money.
06:53I can't afford it.
06:55Maraming salamat sa panonood, mga kapuso.
