Caitlin Clark refused to blame an eye injury on her performance as the Fever lost to the Sun in the playoffs

00:00Kaitlyn, could you tell us a little bit about your eye, the hit, if it affected you,
00:05how it affected you and through the rest of the game? Thanks. Yeah, obviously got
00:11me pretty good in the eye. I don't think it affected me. Honestly, I felt like I
00:16got good shots, they just didn't go down and obviously a tough time for that to
00:20happen. Like I got some really good looks. I felt I had two pretty, three
00:24pretty wide open threes in the first half that like you usually make. So
00:29that's tough but I felt like I battled and tried my best, took care of the ball
00:34better than I usually do, which is a positive. But overall, like coach said in
00:40the locker room, like we're down three the first quarter, down five second
00:43quarter and then lost by three in the third. Like we were right there and I'd
00:47felt like we just played a crappy game. Like the flow of the game was really bad.
00:51I don't know if that was the refeeing, that was probably partly us because we
00:55struggled to get stops at times but also like the clock getting messed up
00:59usually one thing after the next. But yeah, overall like it didn't bother me.
01:04Obviously it didn't feel too good when it happened but it is what it is.
