Downloading, Watching Child Porn Offence Under POCSO Act, IT Law: Supreme Court

Watching and downloading child pornography are offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Information Technology (IT) Act, the Supreme Court held in a landmark verdict on Monday, September 23. Setting aside a Madras High Court ruling, the apex court also restored criminal proceedings against a Chennai man accused of downloading and watching child porn.
