00:00I'm Ashley Marshman, Head of Customer Service at Southern Water.
00:02We are here today speaking to customers in Lansing and the surrounding area.
00:06We have had a really good turnout, so thank you to all our customers for coming down.
00:10We're sharing a whole raft of information across the business,
00:15but also to answer some of our customers' questions about some of the issues that
00:18they've been facing in Lansing. Things like Winstead Lane, where we're replacing a sewer pipe,
00:24the Manor Close where we're doing some work on the road,
00:27and also giving them an update on what happened in Shoreham with the burst sewer up there as well.
00:32A lot of the conversations we've been having is around our investment, so what we're investing
00:36over the next five years. We're going to be investing a record £8 billion between 2025 and
00:442030. This is going to be £3.3 billion on environmental projects to help improve the
00:50environment and make it great for our communities. Also reducing storm overflows, we know they're
00:57really important to our customers and that's what we're focusing on. We're also going to be spending
01:03millions of pounds on reducing leakage and ensuring that our water network is lit for the future.
