00:00This is one of those, the opportunity, you always hear about this, like when it's the
00:04only game in town, it's the only game on TV, even though tonight there are two, but still,
00:08it's primetime, there's something special, the mystique of that Monday night football,

00:13This is one of those opportunities to change the perception.
00:16Everybody whines, Washington fans have whined for years, and some of it's justified to be
00:19honest with you, about the league-wide perception, about how everybody always picks Washington
00:24to be 31st in their power rankings before the season starts, or this isn't going to
00:28work, or this is a failure.
00:29A lot of times it doesn't work out, but even when things are good or happening, nobody
00:33gives you credit for it.
00:34It feels like everybody's against you, you can't get your own players who have been excellent
00:37into the Hall of Fame because the reputation has been so bad.
00:40There's a lot of that stuff.
00:41Here's how you change the perception.
00:44One time, when the football and sporting world is watching, not a Red Zone highlight, not
00:48a little bit here and there with the seventh team on Fox, this is the country is watching
00:54you play football.
00:55You don't embarrass yourself, you don't go down there like, you actually look the part
00:59and dare I say, win a football game, look good doing it, be there in prime time and
01:04showcase yourself.
01:05That's how you build a couple of those, you stack a few, you change the perception of
01:09the organization.
01:10They're working hard.
01:11Locally, we kind of know it's different than it was before, that's obvious, but if you're
01:14in, say, Cincinnati, Ohio, you're not really plugged into the latest with Josh Harris and
01:19Mitch Rales.
01:20You're not really that concerned with Adam Peters and company.
01:22That's Washington.
01:23They're always a tire fire.
01:25Don't be that.
01:26Go out and do something special and people start to believe in you.
