02:08IBF world heavyweight title this Saturday learn more on Riyadhseasoncard.com
02:13both guys so far trying to measure the distance with the jab good jab by both
02:21fighters staying very disciplined so far trying to just measure the distance and
02:30get closer to each other starting out in the orthodox stance he'll switch with
02:38some regularity as he lands a nice left hook there and as a righty Brian
02:42typically it's a lot of lead hand it's a lot of jabs a lot of hooks as a south
02:47paw Donovan tends to become a little bit more aggressive without question and if
02:52it's interesting about his stance switching meaning Edward Donovan as he
02:55says he doesn't think to do it it just naturally happens in the flow of the
02:59fight based upon what his opponent is giving him.
03:02Body shot there from O'Brien a moment ago.
03:07O'Brien has former title challenger Spike O'Sullivan in his corner O'Sullivan
03:12now also a columnist he's got a stepping into the ring.
03:15He's also got a sweet mustache.
03:18Nice right hand over the top from Craig O'Brien that might have been the hardest
03:27shot that Donovan's been hit with in the pros thus far back comes Donovan with a
03:34right hand of his own the action delivering as promised here in the
03:40opening round. Donovan took those shots pretty well later on the fights are
03:47gonna get harder so this prepares you for those kind of shots the thing is to
03:52stay composed not just because he landed a big shot you don't want to go in there
03:55and start throwing wild shots and then get countered by O'Brien so I think he
03:59did the right thing stay calm try to measure with the jab try to land that
04:03right hand again like he just did right now he's fine very very controlled right
04:08now very smart. The feeling out period between these two seems to be over they
04:12are operating at very close range they've tasted each other's power now
04:16it's down to who can make those adjustments. It's interesting to see how
04:20this one is unfolding with fighters who are very familiar frequent sparring
04:24partners sometimes you just get a standstill we're getting the opposite as
04:28O'Brien lands another good left hook there a moment ago and this is where
04:34O'Brien feels he can have an advantage he could make it messy when things get
04:38to the inside. Yeah that's what he needs to do in the inside he needs to push
04:42him back a little bit he dove with that left hook but it landed but he needs to
04:48make it rough and dirty in there like push him back don't allow Donovan to
04:52think when you'd let Donovan think that's when he's gonna counter you and
04:55pick you apart with his shot so he's got to put a little bit more pressure
05:01final left hook from O'Brien right at the belt good start for the man they
05:06call the iron. Sit down. You won the round right just relax just don't get into
05:13anything just get on your job again stepping back that left hook see the
05:18left hook it's always catching him and then he is open for that right hand
05:21because he's walking on to the running side. Do you understand what I'm saying? Now look at
05:24me. Do not get into a war with him yet. It's too early. He's stopping and turning until he's shot.
05:31Do you understand? You don't want to get caught with stupid shots right champ? Come on you're doing
05:36brilliant you had it perfectly there. Baba bomb let the shots go okay that's your
05:41first round to you he's gonna come out the same he will slow down to shoot for
05:46hours he does it every time you stay at that pace that's all you're gonna do it's a big
05:50night Craig. You're a better fighter. You nailed him with the right hand too. Okay that's going to call him later on the fight.
05:59Go back to the corners lads. Go back. Go back. Box.
06:05It's round two underway and let's welcome back in Skipper Kelp. Skip what are you
06:10seeing? Donovan's corner gave him great advice they said don't get inside and
06:15mix it up don't turn this into a dogfight he's Pernell Whitaker that's
06:18his idol fight like him stick and move use your skills that's how you're gonna
06:22win this fight great advice. What's interesting about that advice is
06:26Donovan has been the fighter pushing the pace and you may see just one knockout
06:30in seven pro fights and say oh he's not a power puncher he's knocked down all
06:34seven of his pro opponents and is almost still in mid transitioning figuring out
06:39how to sit down on those punches more and be a more effective power puncher.
06:42Yeah and Donovan's brother Paddy had some good insight on that lack of knockouts of course
06:47especially in the United Kingdom a lot of the development process is against
06:52journeymen kind of professional survivors you typically go the distance
06:56with those guys the journeymen that you see over here with like a hundred losses
07:00they can do that because they don't get stopped.
07:04Shot to the body there from O'Brien as he climbs the ladder with a nice left hook.
07:08O'Brien really starting to time Donovan's jab with that left hook as we see the first stance switch.
07:14He just switched to lefty and talking about Donovan but he needs to put his
07:17combinations together he's trying to land one shot he can't allow O'Brien to
07:24make the fight like I said he he's got a box in circles never stand in front of
07:28O'Brien but he's got to throw punches and punches more combinations from
07:32Donovan there he goes back switching to lefty but you know what every time he's
07:37shot every time he switches to lefty O'Brien lands that right hand so he
07:42might be better off standing the other way right hand stance.
07:46Ryan's corner told him that right hand will come later it's coming right now.
07:50And Ryan I think you're right that Donovan as the fighters are getting admonished here for a little rough stuff.
08:00Back to what I was saying Donovan is the one stepping forward but O'Brien is the one who's more sure of his offense right now.
08:07More confident power excuse me counter puncher of the two has been O'Brien he's got the timing of Donovan now.
08:14See if Donovan can start establishing space more with that jab.
08:18That right hand from O'Brien just bounced off the forehead of Donovan again.
08:22O'Brien also has landed some good body shots he's going to the body that was a good straight left hand by Donovan.
08:28That's exactly what it needs to do measure that distance he threw that
08:32left hand right hook that he moved at an angle.
08:34Just don't stand in front of O'Brien.
08:36Don't give him that squared look you know he's got to give him that side look like Pernell Whitaker did.
08:41You know don't give him all your body you got to keep turning him in circles.
08:48Donovan trying to get that right hand involved.
08:51Counter punch.
08:53Break.
08:54Step back.
08:58Corner like that shot a moment ago and again O'Brien just first to initiate contact on the inside.
09:05He's going to have to be careful not have a point taken away at some point but until that point hey why not hit anything.
09:15Made after the bail action.
09:22Now see the way you are man.
09:24I want you to drop and kill him with an overhand right.
09:27Now listen to me you want it.
09:29Now listen when you change cell park right and you hit him with the hook straight away with the right hook you hurt him.
09:34He was hurt right.
09:36Each swing I catch him with a shot you're hurting him Ed.
09:38So I want you back working that job.
09:40Downstairs as well.
09:41Body.
09:42Right hand to the body.
09:43No no listen to me you're too off.
09:45You need to be sharp Ed.
09:46Listen to me Ed Ed.
09:47Right hand to the body and come back with a left hook.
09:49Do you understand?
09:51When he's walking to the right hand side use the corner.
09:55Right champ?
09:56It's all you.
09:57Breathe, relax, enjoy.
09:58Is the moment good?
09:59You did.
10:00Listen I'm telling you.
10:01Look at me.
10:02You're winning.
10:03Right?
10:04It's all fucking you.
10:05Let's go champ.
10:06Come on.
10:07Get that out will you?
10:08Round.
10:09This is round one now again okay?
10:15Right in the corner.
10:16Go back.
10:17Back.
10:18Right back.
10:20Hey can you box?
10:22So round three now underway.
10:25Terrific start for Craig O'Brien who you see is outlanding Edward Donovan right now.
10:3048 to 21 in terms of total punches landed.
10:35Yeah he's been a lot busier and he's connected.
10:41Donovan not busy enough.
10:43That's a good counter right hand but only one.
10:46He's got to put his punches together.
10:47We need more activity.
10:50He throws a big shot then he holds.
10:53One of the biggest boxing cards is brought to you by Riyadh Season in Wembley.
10:57Anthony Joshua challenges Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title this Saturday.
11:03Learn more on riyadhseasoncard.com as Donovan again starts to get that right hand involved.
11:09That's starting to excite the Donovan corner.
11:11Especially as a lead punch from that orthodox stance.
11:14In fact we saw them talking to each other after he landed clean on O'Brien.
11:18The interesting part of Donovan is he said he's a better boxer from the southpaw stance.
11:22Leading with that power hand with the jab.
11:24I'd like to see him go more to that as this fight develops.
11:28See that was some good combinations run out by Donovan.
11:30Landed that right hand then that left hook.
11:32But he keeps giving him that subtle movement to the left or to the right.
11:36Not standing so much in front of O'Brien.
11:38Every time he stands in front of O'Brien, O'Brien lands.
11:42He throws some wild shots and he's there for the land.
11:45But as long as Donovan keeps turning and holding him inside.
11:49Let the referee separate you.
11:51Get you back on the outside.
11:52And starting off the jab again.
11:54That's the fight that Donovan has to fight.
11:59Donovan vastly more accomplished than O'Brien as an amateur.
12:04But O'Brien, back in 2019 he had a really good showing against Kieran Conway.
12:09Who at that point was signed to match room.
12:11Was world ranked.
12:13And he was certainly not blown out in that fight.
12:15So he's reached levels in the pros that Donovan has just been nowhere near.
12:20Nice shot though from Donovan.
12:22Again right hand as he celebrates with that same hand.
12:27Starting to feel himself a little bit.
12:29Donovan is being very smart in this round.
12:31He's controlling the pace of the fight.
12:33He's keeping the fight more in the center.
12:35Avoiding the ropes, the corners.
12:37He keeps turning him.
12:39A while ago he landed a good body shot with his left hook.
12:44He went on the bottom and then over the top.
12:47And that's the kind of fight he needs to be doing.
12:53We saw that stat before.
12:54O'Brien doing a better job controlling the center of the ring.
12:57I think he's a better inside fighter as well.
12:59Lost heart in this game and you're seeing that.
13:0415 seconds here of round 3.
13:06The body language changing from Edward Donovan.
13:10Whether you thought he won this round or not.
13:12This one appears to be a confidence boost.
13:15And we'll see if Donovan has more dimensions than O'Brien.
13:18But he got caught with a terrific left hook.
13:23Now they come together at the end of the round.
13:31Touch him, touch him.
13:32Not even hard. Touch him, touch him.
13:33Look busy. Give us the water.
13:34Just look busy, okay?
13:35Old man on the inside.
13:37Round 4.
13:38Halfway point here.
13:39But this is the foreshadow in your mind.
13:41What about when there's foreshadow?
13:43And if he can take a one round at a time, that's all.
13:47Okay?
13:48You've been this far before. He hasn't.
13:51So he's got it in his mind.
13:54Walk that jab more again for me.
13:56Downstairs hit him a few body shots.
13:57I don't think he likes them.
13:58Alright?
13:59You're wiping the facet enough.
14:02Come on, will you?
14:03Come on, will you?
14:04Come on.
14:05This is you, champ, right?
14:06Yo, look.
14:07Here we see Donovan pawing with the jab.
14:09Look at that counter hook right there.
14:11But keeping the fight in the center of the ring.
14:13Watch that overhand right.
14:15Just controlling the distance a lot more in this round.
14:17That's what they want him to do in this corner.
14:19You see how he's waiting.
14:20Well, he got caught there by a jab by O'Brien.
14:23But that was a much better round, I believe, for Donovan.
14:26Just controlling the distance and keeping the fight in the center where he needs to be at.
14:30And that step-in left hand from Craig O'Brien
14:33that you saw in those replays
14:35just keeps picking the lock of Edward Donovan.
14:39And the rough stuff continues here.
14:41O'Brien getting wild in there now.
14:44Rough.
14:45Honestly, I think that's the type of fight he needs to make.
14:48He cannot wait on Donovan from the outside.
14:51I think Donovan is more skilled.
14:53He's more polished.
14:54If he waits on Donovan from the outside,
14:56he's going to pick him apart.
14:58So he needs to make it a barnburner.
15:00Close that distance and just go for it.
15:03His corner was explicitly instructing him to do that.
15:06They were telling him,
15:07hey, when you get to the clinch, hit him to the body, hit him to the head.
15:09They want him to keep doing this
15:11basically until they're going to take a point away.
15:14Hit him anywhere.
15:15Hit him in the arms.
15:16Hit him on the waist.
15:17Hit him on the side.
15:18When the referee's not looking,
15:19he's boxing him on the side of the leg.
15:21And keep turning him.
15:23Don't be doing it.
15:24Box.
15:25Don't be doing it.
15:26Box.
15:27Referee Paul McCullough starting to have his hands full
15:29with the chippiness here.
15:31Back on the head.
15:32Come on.
15:34That's another thing you've got to watch for, too.
15:36You've got to be careful with the head bust
15:37because O'Brien is being a little bit rough
15:39and coming in with his head.
15:40So Donovan's got to be able to measure that.
15:42Nice right hand there from Donovan.
15:44Steps in and lands that right hand right down the pipe.
15:48Go!
15:51Pain first out.
15:52Pain first out.
15:57O'Brien told us the second half of this fight
15:59is where he'll be better.
16:00He's got more experience on the pro level.
16:02He heard his corner.
16:03Hard right hand there,
16:04from Donovan,
16:05you see the knees of O'Brien
16:06ambulatorily buckling.
16:08Let him go.
16:09Play it smart.
16:10You saw Donovan connect with explosive shots
16:13and hold him in the inside.
16:14I mean, O'Brien, the more you could frustrate O'Brien,
16:17the better it'll be for Donovan.
16:19You want O'Brien to lose his head,
16:21he'll start singing wild,
16:23and that's when Donovan could catch him down the middle.
16:25Despite that big moment for Donovan a moment ago,
16:27you saw the punch stats a second ago,
16:30O'Brien, excuse me, more than doubling
16:33the landed punches of Donovan at this point.
16:35Let's go, bring it over here, lads, let's go.
16:36That was another fast, quick combination by Donovan.
16:39Step back, lads, listen, got to fade in there.
16:41The difference in this round,
16:43Donovan is not losing his head.
16:44He's fighting very smart, and O'Brien is losing his head.
16:47He's swinging a little bit too wild.
16:49He's trying to bum-brush him.
16:51He's mad, he's angry.
16:54Nice counter left hook there from O'Brien.
16:57Let's send it back over to Skipper.
16:58Skipper, what are you seeing right now?
17:00O'Brien's not winning this fight, but he came to fight.
17:03He's making Donovan earn it tonight.
17:07Hey, he's right about that.
17:09And you know what, this is the kind of style
17:11that you have to deal with when you're coming up
17:12in the boxing world.
17:13You got to deal with rough guys.
17:14You got to deal with slick guys.
17:16You got to deal with guys that don't have a lot of power.
17:18And if he's able to adapt to any kind of style,
17:21this is going to help him in the long run.
17:23When he gets to this big opportunity down the line.
17:26Box.
17:28Final moments here of round four,
17:30as Donovan banking on the idea that he has some more
17:34dimensions than Craig O'Brien.
17:38Oh, Skipper's right.
17:39He's making him work for it.
17:41He's yelling in his ear now.
17:43Come on, sit down and breathe, yeah?
17:45That's it, suck it up.
17:46Breathe.
17:47Breathe.
17:49Breathe.
17:51Control coming out.
17:52There you go.
17:52Now listen to me.
17:53Get back boxing now.
17:55Right, if you double touch him with that jab,
17:57then you send the other hand right in.
17:58OK?
17:59Do you understand what I'm saying, champ?
18:00Yeah.
18:01That's a tight round there, right?
18:03So don't panic.
18:05I want you going back out.
18:06I want you to set your feet.
18:07I want you to work your jab.
18:08Get your distance a little bit better.
18:10You're waiting, right?
18:11You're waiting.
18:13Tight on him.
18:14And then you're going to do the same again, Craig.
18:19You just want this.
18:21That's it.
18:22All right, Craig?
18:23No, he's holding.
18:24This is your town.
18:25Of course.
18:26The action heating up here last round,
18:29as you see O'Brien leading in with that lead-looping
18:32left hook.
18:33And all night long, when they have traded punches
18:36on the inside, it's been O'Brien getting the better of him.
18:40He's got the speed.
18:46O'Brien going back downstairs with a right hand immediately.
18:52O'Brien needs to tighten up on his defense.
18:57I like to see his guard a little bit more up, more tighter.
19:05He's not going to beat Donovan like that from the outside.
19:07He's got the speed over him.
19:10He's got the footwork for that checked left hook.
19:14Moved out of the way.
19:15He's making him go off balance.
19:17I think this is the range that Donovan can dominate at,
19:20as he lands a beautiful right hand.
19:23That buckled the legs of O'Brien briefly.
19:25That rattled O'Brien.
19:27That's the second time we've seen that.
19:29Those are the situations, the way Donovan rattled O'Brien.
19:33I think he should have jumped on him right away.
19:35I think he let him recuperate.
19:37That combination.
19:39Here's that shot that rocked him.
19:41I'm telling you, he was buzzed.
19:43But Donovan took a step back.
19:44Right there, you get a jump on him.
19:46Had that corner instinct to be able to finish your opponent.
19:50That was a blatant shot behind the head.
19:52But look at O'Brien's corner is up on the apron.
19:56They've got to be very careful with that.
20:02Yeah, Brian, that could have been
20:04an immediate disqualification if the referee wanted it to be.
20:08A hard warning from Paul McCullough.
20:11You're the corner of O'Brien.
20:12You've got to take heed.
20:16The fight getting testy in the corners.
20:19Getting emotional too,
20:20as we look at that shot behind the head.
20:22And it was, it was a blatant shot behind the head.
20:27The corner of O'Brien has to be careful
20:29to not get the fighter pulled out of the fight.
20:31Keep it clean, lads, good job.
20:33This is the round where O'Brien's got to show us
20:35what he's made of as a fighter.
20:36Momentum shifting in the direction of Donovan.
20:38Let's stop boxing, let's go, step it up.
20:40Let's stop, back of the head, stop it.
20:43He's got to be able to push Donovan off.
20:45Donovan throws a one-two land, and then he holds.
20:48He needs to pick up his activity, Brian.
20:51Tighten up his defense, rough him up,
20:53just push him, hit him anywhere, just make him fight.
20:55Now he's got to, look at Donovan,
20:56he's got to cut over his left eye.
20:59I don't know if that was a headbutt
21:00or if that was a punch, Corey,
21:02but let's see how that affects Donovan.
21:06We'll wait for a ruling, but nonetheless,
21:08that cut is not in a good spot,
21:11and it is leaking down the side of the face
21:14of Edward Donovan, who's working through it
21:15as he lands a beautiful left hook.
21:22Right hand from O'Brien, though,
21:23right where that cut is located
21:28on the face of Edward Donovan,
21:31and we believe that that cut is as a result
21:34of a clash of heads.
21:35New job, step back.
21:37For as close as this fight is being contested in space,
21:40neither fight are committing to a jab
21:41because each is countering so well off that.
21:46Upper cut to the body from Donovan there
21:47a moment ago.
21:49Let's go, step back, hand socket, let him go,
21:52break, step back, step back.
21:57Messy, bloody battle here between Donovan and O'Brien.
22:05This is where Donovan landed that,
22:09well, here we go, there he goes.
22:11That's a fast, crisp combination there,
22:14and I believe it rocked O'Brien,
22:16but didn't jump on him and took advantage of him.
22:19I felt O'Brien was really hurt,
22:22and here's the headbutt that caused that cut
22:25over his left eye.
22:27Both fighters coming in, I think it was accidental.
22:30I don't think they gave the guys many,
22:31it's just the way they happened.
22:33It was went, right?
22:36Okay, champ.
22:38You did it.
22:40So you have to walk now on this one, right?
22:42We're going to six round now, yeah?
22:44This is champion rounds now.
22:46Champion rounds.
22:47That was a classic headbutt.
22:49Champion rounds, right?
22:51Champion rounds now.
22:53You've been born to do this.
22:55This is you.
22:57Yeah, fuck it, this is you.
22:58Right, let's go, champ.
23:00Come on, champ, get that out.
23:04I bet where Donovan wanted a step-up fight,
23:06he has got it here tonight.
23:09Whether you think he's up or down,
23:11he's having to earn it here tonight against Craig O'Brien.
23:15Well, this is gut check time for both fighters,
23:18and you heard Donovan's corner saying,
23:19you were born for this.
23:21This is certainly his opportunity
23:23to get to that next level,
23:24and even Donovan told us,
23:25I'd love to fight Calum Walsh.
23:27I'd love to get his attention with this performance.
23:30Nice right hand over the top,
23:31and as you alluded to earlier, Brian,
23:34O'Brien was originally scheduled to face Calum Walsh.
23:37Our understanding is that the WBC didn't sanction him
23:41because Walsh has a regional WBC title,
23:44so Tom Loffler honored O'Brien's spot on the card,
23:48and here he is fighting Edward Donovan.
23:51He lands a nice jab there a moment ago.
23:54O'Brien, so far, the busier in this round.
24:00He needs to step up the gas.
24:01I mean, he's round number 6.
24:03He's got two rounds left.
24:06I don't see him winning right now,
24:07but I still think he could do some damage
24:10if he put more pressure and closed that gap
24:12and had more activity.
24:14Donovan is allowing him to do that.
24:16Take advantage of that.
24:18Well, again, this is a big fight.
24:19It's a big fight.
24:21Take advantage of that.
24:23Again, this is one of those fights
24:24that's going to create discussion
24:26because if this goes the distance,
24:27at least right now, O'Brien, in terms of the punch stats,
24:31and that is not how you score fights,
24:33granted, he's drastically outlanding Edward Donovan.
24:37Donovan's stuck more in a counter-punching mode,
24:39but activity matters to the judges,
24:41and with neither fighter really leading with a jab,
24:43it will be interesting
24:45how some of these sequences are scored.
24:47Honestly, it just goes down to what kind of judge you got,
24:49what they like, what they like to see.
24:50Do they like the boxer that likes to stand back
24:52and pick you apart?
24:54Maybe not enough activity,
24:55or they like the guy that's always coming forward.
24:57You'll throw 10 shots, maybe land five,
24:59but they see him as the aggressor.
25:02Depends on what style you're going for.
25:04Bring it up, let's bring it up.
25:05Bring it up, stop, bring it up.
25:07Brick!
25:08Listen, brick, step back.
25:18Donovan having a lot of success
25:19in leading with those power shots,
25:20whether it's the right cross or that short left check hook.
25:25You know what, the pace has really slowed down in this round,
25:29and that's because O'Brien is allowing that.
25:33Donovan is fighting at his pace.
25:35O'Brien's gonna get picked apart
25:36from the outside that way.
25:38O'Brien needs to close that distance.
25:40Make it a fight.
25:42Remember, we talked about the stamina of Edward Donovan.
25:50I think we're gonna take a look at this cut.
25:57That is right on the eyelid.
26:13I think we overheard the doctor say,
26:15let's give him a little bit of time,
26:18but this fight, at least, is in danger of getting stopped.
26:22Brick, step back, step back, step back, step back.
26:24And again, it was a clash of heads,
26:26which means this would go to the scorecards
26:29were that to happen.
26:33Right hand there from Donovan.
26:35A little stutter step there,
26:38and O'Brien comes back with one of his own.
26:41What a way to end the round.
26:44Look at O'Brien, he was a toe-to-toe matchup.
26:48He eliminated him at the end of the round.
26:50You have a bonus, right?
26:53You go there quick,
26:54and you follow just the last round of your fucking life,
26:56and you beat this guy.
26:57All right?
26:58When you're going forward,
26:59you're going forward with your hands down.
27:01All right?
27:02Mind them uppercuts.
27:03Right hand leads at the start.
27:06What is that?
27:07I'm sorry.
27:08Right hand leads at the start.
27:09Give me the water.
27:10Right hand leads at the start.
27:12I want you to feint and feint and control it.
27:15Combination, go.
27:16Feint, feint, control.
27:18Don't move, don't move, don't move.
27:29Okay.
27:31Breathe in, breathe.
27:33Breathe.
27:34Can I stop with the water?
27:35Water?
27:36No.
27:37All right, stop with the water.
27:37No.
27:38It's all right.
27:39It's all right.
27:40It's all right.
27:43Go on, man, go on.
27:47Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on.
27:52The crowd going wild here at the Free Arena.
27:54We've got fights in the ring.
27:55We've got fights out of the ring.
27:58What a competitive action-packed
28:00and physical fight so far.
28:06Oh, I'm red.
28:12Got the doctor really looking close.
28:13He's going to be waiting.
28:14Yeah, yeah.
28:15He's going to go to the scorecard.
28:16He's going to go to the scorecard.
28:23We'll see who that winds up benefiting.
28:30Donovan celebrating as if he's sure
28:32that he has this one on the scorecards,
28:34but both men feel that way right now.
28:37Feels like it.
28:37I mean, by looking at O'Brien, talking to the crowd.
28:40But look, at the end of the day, good sportmanship.
28:43Look, both saying great fight.
28:46They're hugging each other.
28:47That's what I like to see at the end of each fight.
28:55Well, frankly, I didn't expect to see that.
28:57The way that this, this is a really chippy fight, right?
28:59Well, there were about as many shots behind the head
29:02as there were legal blows in this one.
29:04It didn't look like they liked each other, man,
29:06from the beginning.
29:07Even in the fighter meeting, just talking to O'Brien,
29:10you know, he had plans.
29:12He wanted to destroy Donovan,
29:14but that's his attitude all through the fight.
29:19Now we're gonna have to see what the judges have in store.
29:32We take a look at the fight statistics here.
29:34And again, Greg O'Brien, according to our statistics,
29:38drastically outlanding Edward Donovan,
29:40154 to 82 in terms of power shots,
29:44111 to 60 and out jabbing Donovan of 43 to 22.
29:51And things are right now getting physical in the ring too.
29:55One of the members of Donovan's camp
29:57trying to go across the ring
29:59and they're having to be separated.
30:01Now it's the trainers, I guess.
30:02Trainers are getting to it.
30:03We want a rematch.
30:04Hey, it's boxing.
30:05You're gonna get-
30:06You heard him.
30:07We want a rematch.
30:08Hey, I want a rematch too.
30:09This is a fun fight.
30:11I want to see a rematch.
30:13Don't you?
30:14It might be what's appropriate, realistically,
30:18for both of these fighters right now.
30:19O'Brien, I'm sure would love another crack
30:24at Edward Donovan.
30:25For Greg O'Brien,
30:30we'll see if he scored an upset victory here tonight.
30:39Yeah, exactly.
30:40Yeah, but it doesn't make no difference, Edward.
30:43Edward Donovan, he thinks that he's got this one in the bag.
30:47You saw him celebrating the moment
30:49this one was sent to the scorecards.
30:57Yeah, you'll do the same, won't you?
30:59That's it, that's all he'll say.
31:01I don't want you to come over and intimidate me.
31:02I'm not intimidating nobody.
31:05Well, here we see some of the action.
31:07Here we see O'Brien picking at the bottom,
31:10trying to get in, but Donovan holds him in the inside.
31:13There's a big left hook by O'Brien.
31:16The jab again by O'Brien.
31:18Double jab.
31:20Solid jab by O'Brien.
31:21He needed more of that, Corey.
31:24Nice jab there, need to come back.
31:26Look at that counter left hook by O'Brien,
31:28but single punching.
31:29But then again, you know,
31:31Donovan would hold him in the inside, wouldn't let him work.
31:33There's the big one-two by O'Brien.
31:35Then we see Donovan trying to land the jab.
31:38Good jab there.
31:41A lot of back and forth action.
31:43Seemed like O'Brien got the best of this action right here.
31:46Obviously, threw more punches, landed more punches.
31:49Corey, you're right, 154 to 82.
31:53Let's see what the judges are gonna say.
31:55I don't know.
31:57Yeah, of course, the judges are counting punches
31:59in real time.
32:00That isn't how you score fights,
32:01but it's a compelling case for Craig O'Brien
32:05as we are still waiting for the scorecards.
32:09Having to be tabulated on short order here,
32:14but it looks like they're in the hands of Joe Martinez.
32:18Which way is this one gonna go?
32:22Ladies and gentlemen, due to an accidental headbutt
32:24sustained earlier in the fight,
32:26our position at ringside declares this fight is concluded.
32:29Therefore, we go to the scorecards.
32:32The winner by split decision,
32:33having completed six rounds of action,
32:37Judge Irving scores at 58-57 for Donovan.
32:43Judge O'Ructagon, 58-56, O'Brien.
32:46And Judge Teat scores at 58-56,
32:51your winner by split decision,
32:53and now the super welterweight Celtic champion
32:57from Dublin, Ireland,
33:00O'Brien.
33:02Yeah.
33:07Yeah.
33:10Bravo.
33:12Yeah.
