00:00I've been asked a few times as to what software I use when I'm used when I'm recording these videos.
00:06Now when I was in Spain, I didn't use any software.
00:08I just use the SD card out of the camera put it into the computer,
00:12but that in itself is a pain because you got to take this out plug it in blah blah.
00:17So what do I do when I'm at home in my office?
00:21So I use a DSLR and the software that I use is called Ecam live.
00:26Now, it's a live streaming software, but you can record with it,
00:31which is what I'm doing now. That's why I'm constantly looking down here.
00:37So you can actually record once you've got the recording.
00:40You can put it into iMovie or I use Final Cut Pro or Premiere
00:45whatever I use Final Cut Pro to edit it and do lots of things with it.
00:49Now, there are other pieces of software out there that have loads of bells
00:54and whistles that you can do lots of stuff with and they're good.
00:57They do work, but they're kind of complicated and I want the simplicity of it.
01:04So Ecam live, even though it does do the live thing,
01:07which I don't do live that often I use it to purely record for my DSLR.
01:15And once I have that file, I can then edit it in any way.
01:18I can all this these other software because they're editors
01:21and recorders. They have issues.
01:26Whereas I just want to be able to record onto the computer record this which is a USB mic
01:32into Ecam live as well. I could even pull up graphics and stuff as well.
01:37I can even pull up my phone to it kind of have it next to me or is it this side is this side.
01:44So with Ecam live you can actually do lots of lots of things.
01:47So this video even though it's actually me telling you the software I use.
