00:00Ha ha! She snores!
00:09Hello, I'm Gemma Arterton and I play Sophie Straw in Funny Woman.
00:13Here we have a lovely plate of biscuits and let's see what's written on them.
00:21So, how would you describe Funny Woman to somebody who has never seen it before?
00:26So, Funny Woman is about Sophie Straw, she's a beauty queen, she ditches that life,
00:32moves to London to pursue a career in situation comedy sitcom.
00:37And it's about her journey to becoming a household name and all the trials and tribulations that come with that.
00:46Ah, what should fans be excited about for Season 2?
00:49Well, Season 2 of Funny Woman, Sophie is a household name, she has her own sitcom called Just Barbara.
00:55She has a new agent, she has new friends and obviously there's a love story throughout this with the character of Dennis.
01:03And there's loads more that I haven't said because I probably would go on forever.
01:09Tell us a secret about working on the show.
01:13Ooh, well, I'm not a natural blonde, so I'm wearing a wig.
01:21It's an amazing wig and it's a bit of a transformation. I'm sure that's not a secret though.
01:27Do an impression of another cast member.
01:30I actually do quite a few impressions in the show of various characters.
01:35But cast member, well, we have Claire Haupacity who has a really fantastic laugh and she kind of goes...
01:44And she snores, which I'm sure she won't mind me saying because it's a real thing that she does and it's really charming.
01:54What is Sophie's biggest flaw?
01:57I think Sophie's biggest flaw is that she can be easily led.
02:02So she can, I guess she's very malleable and quite naive to a certain extent.
02:06So sometimes she can get carried away with certain things, especially with the celebrity aspect of becoming famous and well-known.
02:16Sometimes she can get sucked into that.
02:18But luckily she has some amazing friends who keep giving her a reality check.
02:27What is my go-to karaoke song?
02:29Well, it's definitely Bonnie Tyler, Total Eclipse of the Heart.
02:35I've said it before.
02:37It is an absolute classic for me because it's got lots of drama and key changes, which I think is essential in a karaoke song.
02:50Would I be friends with Sophie in real life?
02:54Yeah, definitely.
02:55She's so sweet and fun and, you know, sort of lovable really.
03:01So yeah, I'm going to say yes, of course.
03:05Eggs and dippies or tea and biscuits?
03:07Tea and bickies all the way over eggs and dippies.
03:11I do love eggs and dippies, but tea and biscuit is the best, really.
03:17What is the biggest misconception people have about actors?
03:21Well, I think that they probably think that actors live this really charmed life of luxury.
03:27But if you could see some of the locations that we go to and the hours that we do and how kind of wrecked we are at the end of it.
03:35Yeah, it's not always as glamorous as thought of.
03:40Create a new flavour of rock inspired by yourself.
03:44Well, for my flavour of rock would be, I think, a little bit kind of tangy, maybe minty, mint rock.
03:55But then there'd be some sort of other flavour in it that's a bit alarming that doesn't quite work.
04:00That would be me.
04:02Yeah, like a kind of mint and raspberry or something like that.
04:06Bye Ekis, good to be back.
04:09The show's going to be about two women.
04:11You're going to have to speak to my agent.
04:13You want me to burn the rules?
04:15I want you to break them.
04:17So that was me answering the biscuits. Make sure you catch Funny Woman on Sky.
