00:00Commission on Elections has laid out the measures to be implemented for the upcoming start of the issuance of the Certificate of Candidacy for the 2025 Midterm Elections.

00:18All systems go for the Commission on Elections on the imminent issuance of the Certificate of Candidacy of the candidates for the 2025 Midterm Elections.

00:28In fact, Comerec has already laid out the location where the COC will hold the elections for the national positions from October 1 to 8.

00:37And this is in Manila Hotel, Tenth City.

00:40But the Commission has a warning for those who will submit to the COC.

00:46It's better to follow what we are doing so that you won't be forced to join a lot of people if our purpose here is to make the filing of the Certificates of Candidacy orderly.

01:00Some of the measures that Comerec will impose for the Senators who will submit to the COC should include up to four people.

01:09For the party list, it should include up to three people.

01:12For the local positions, it should also include, if possible, only a limited number of people going to the offices of Comerec.

01:19Again, the Commission has informed that for transparency, the candidates will submit to the COC.

01:26We will monitor the filing of the Certificates of Candidacy throughout the country.

01:31And again, our call to those who will file the Certificates of Candidacy is to use the proper form of the COC.

01:39If you are a question impact, all the items or data that the Certificates of Candidacy requires should be complete.

01:48Meanwhile, for the upcoming elections, the new machines used to print ballots for the 2025 automated elections are already in the National Printing Office.

01:59Even though these machines are new and high-tech, the Commission assures that it will still undergo testing.

02:07The Department of Science and Technology will oversee this.

02:10We trust the DOSD. It's good to have that.

02:14Because if you have an international certification and you also have a DOSD certification, even if it's just software,

02:21at least our confidence will increase.

02:24And later on, the DOSD will be able to conduct testing, not just software.

02:30Testing will be conducted in December, along with the international certification for the machines.

02:37In the whole of Asia, the Philippines will be the first to use these machines in printing ballots.

02:43But it has already been used in the US and Europe.

02:47On October 25, the machines will be expected to be turned over to COMELEC.

02:51Here, they will try to print one million ballots a day.
