BJP has distanced itself from the comment of Kangana Ranaut, its MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Ranaut made fresh comment on the three farm laws for which the farmers’ protest took place in 2020. Ranaut, while speaking to reporters in Mandi, said the laws which were rolled back by PM Narendra Modi's government in November 2021 should be brought back. BJP said that Ranaut’s comment do not represent the party's views. Ranaut responded by saying, “My views are personal.” In a video statement, Ranaut apologised for her comment. 01:31Namaste Friends
01:33In the last few days, the media has asked me some questions on Farmer's Law
01:38and I have suggested that the farmers should be asked by the PM to bring back Farmer's Law.
01:46Many people are disappointed and disappointed by this.
01:51When Farmer's Law was proposed, many of us supported it.
01:59But with a lot of sensitivity and patience, the PM brought back the Farmer's Law.
02:08And it is the duty of all of us to honour his words.
02:15I have to keep in mind that I am no longer an artist, I am a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
02:22And my opinions should not be mine, they should be the party's.
02:27So if I have disappointed anyone with my words and thoughts, I am sorry.
02:35I take my words back. Thank you.
