00:00The professional basketball player, John Amores, was shot in a game where he fought with the chief of Lumban, Laguna Police, Police Major Bob Luis Ordiz.
00:10Good morning and welcome to Balitang Hali.
00:14Yes sir. Good morning to all the listeners.
00:17First of all, how is the condition of the man who was shot by John Amores?
00:21Our victim, sir, ultimately, was not injured.
00:29And there were no other people who were injured when the shooting happened.
00:35But we understand that he did not go home.
00:37Did he already go home? Is he still being searched for?
00:39For filing a case against the suspects.
00:42After the incident, sir, we had a hot pursuit operation.
00:46Then around 2 a.m., one of our informers approached the police station and said that our two suspects had already surrendered.
00:57And did the two suspects explain why the shooting happened?
01:02Did they have a previous fight?
01:05As far as our investigation, sir, there was no previous fight.
01:12So this is where it really started, sir, the basketball before the incident.
01:17What is their status now? And what is one more case that can be filed against them?
01:21Now, sir, we will file a complaint of attempted murder against John Anthony Amores and accessory to his brother.
01:35And now, they are detained in the custodial facility of Lumban MPS.
01:43What is the determination? Why did you file a murder case against them?
01:46This is non-bailable, right?
01:49Yes, sir. Yes. What happened, sir, is that he fired the gun, although no one was injured.
01:56So we will file an attempted murder.
01:59And was the gun used in the incident recovered?
02:03That's right, sir. When he surrendered early in the morning, he threw the gun.
02:10After his statement, he told us that he threw the gun he used.
02:17And this is still being searched until now because this is crucial evidence.
02:21Yes, sir. Yes.
02:22Do you have a call for possible witnesses as to where the gun used in the incident was thrown?
02:28Now, sir, if someone can see or receive information about the gun used by Mr. John Amores,
02:36we should provide information to our police in Lumban Municipal Police Station.
02:46Okay. Thank you very much for the time you shared in Balitang Halik.
02:50Balitang Halik, sir. Thank you.
02:52This is Police Major Bob Luis Ortiz, chief of Lumban Laguna Police.
