08:46but must not take the shape of ugly confrontation.

08:51The Council must declare zero tolerance for the illegal use of force

08:57and revive global efforts to halt and reverse the new arms race in nuclear and conventional weapons.

09:06It must build controls over new weapons and technologies,

09:11including artificial intelligence that are making war more likely and more lethal.

09:19Madam President, in cooperation with other Member States,

09:24Pakistan shall pursue these objectives in the Security Council

09:30when it assumes its seat in the Council next year.
