00:00What are the films that you've watched or will watch again and again?
00:04As a reward for the great icons in the film industry,
00:08some of them will be able to follow their path in EDSA.
00:11And that's the story of JM and Sinas.

00:17Kuya Kim, in the 5th decade of the Metro Manila Film Festival,
00:22a huge mural in EDSA was placed by MMDA.
00:25The big stars of the film industry are placed here
00:29and their contribution to some iconic Filipino movies
00:32that gave a mark to the film industry.
00:37Have you seen and experienced this huge mural in EDSA's cabana in Orenses, Makati City?
00:42It depicted the faces of some Filipino movie icons
00:45that gave color and impact to the films
00:48that became a part of the Metro Manila Film Festival
00:51for more than 50 years.
00:52It was painted by some local mural artists.
00:55The mural depicted the faces of some artists
00:59that became a part of the MMFF.
01:02Also, the faces of some top-grossing films
01:06that left a mark in the history of the film festival.
01:10This giant mural is a part of the 50th anniversary of the MMFF.
01:14It includes the faces of Nadolfi, Fernando Poe Jr.,
01:18Ed Garcia, Vilma Santos, Nora Honor,
01:20and the late Dantes and Marian Rivera.
01:22This is just the beginning of the mural design that they will put in EDSA.
01:26They will add a colorful art display
01:29where you will find some MMFF film posters
01:31that will be made by students of iAcademy.
01:34We were given over 600 meters of EDSA to help design.
01:38We have a lot of wall space to design,
01:41but I can assure you that we are very much curating and targeting
01:46the best picture winners, the award-winning film.
01:48It's really exciting to also get to know the history of Philippine films.
01:54As we research and as we do the layouts,
01:58it's really a nice learning experience.
02:01MMDA also launched the Cine Sigla sa 50
02:04where you can watch the films that were part of the MMFF
02:07in the past five decades.
02:09For P50, you can watch it in some cinemas around the country.
02:13This includes the newly restored version
02:16of Jose Rizal's 1998 MMFF Best Picture
02:19and the 2024 MMFF Best Picture of J.M.A. Pictures' Farfly.
