World’s Longest-Serving Death Row Prisoner Finally Acquitted

A court in Japan has finally exonerated a man who spent 46 years on death row for the murder of a family in 1966. The verdict in the retrial of Hakamada Iwao, now 88, acknowledged that evidence had been tampered with and his confession was coerced.
