(Adnkronos) - “È necessario che le aziende si pongano come un soggetto responsabile per aiutare”. A dichiararlo Sonia Malaspina, direttrice Relazioni istituzionali, Comunicazione e Sostenibilità Danone Italia a margine dell'evento “La sostenibilità economica e sociale di Danone Italia e della sua filiera”, organizzato ieri pomeriggio dall'azienda durante il G7 Agricoltura e Pesca in corso a Ortigia. “La Danone ha iniziato il proprio percorso aziendale sulla parità di genere nel 2011 con 10 regole per supportare le donne che dopo la maternità vogliono rientrare nel mondo del lavoro -spiega Malaspina- e abbiamo ottenuto risultati straordinari, a partire dal 100% di madri che rientrano dopo la maternità e un tasso di natalità del 3%”.

00:00Adanone started the work on gender equality in 2011 with 10 rules to support mothers when they return to work.

00:36And this has given extraordinary results over the years, in these almost 14 years,
00:42in terms of female employment, 100% of mothers return after maternity leave,
00:48in terms of birth rate, for example, we have a positive birth rate in the company in 2023, equal to 3%.
00:57While in the rest of the country, the birth rate is below zero.
01:02Yes, the desire of people, says ISTAT, are two children per couple, unfortunately we are at 1.2,
01:09and this is necessary for companies to act as a responsible subject that goes to help,
01:16because our experience says that more equality equals more competitiveness for companies,
01:22more birth rates for the entire Italian system.
01:25But you have also worked on your partners and on the Danone subsidiary.
01:29Yes, we have 500 small and medium-sized companies, all Italian suppliers,
01:33many are entering the same path of parental assistance,
01:38through the granting of gender equality certification.
01:43We are very happy because we are generating a movement of companies,
01:47not only our suppliers, but also other companies,
01:50that have signed the gender equality manifesto in the Italian sector.
